  1. Happy Birthday Carl! May it be the best one yet!
  2. This is scary. Eric on a motorcycle is just asking for trouble, especially if he has access to tequila. CJ, just because you are imitating Shadowgod does not mean that he is to blame. You are responsible for your own writing.
  3. I propose a new poll!
  4. Tiff, he definitely could do that. 27 is not too old. However, I would venture to say he might want to trim down his load a bit.
  5. Here is the list: Men's 200m Freestyle Men's 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay Men's 400m Individual Medley Men's 200m Butterfly Men's 800m Freestyle Relay (won just now) 3 are individual, but 2 are relays. The total is now 11 in his Olympic career.
  6. Michael Phelps has done it! He is the most decorated Olympic gold medalist ever! The poll is now closed. 9 members correctly guessed that he would do it.
  7. I will have to read it later (after gymnastics of course). Then I will decide who the evil culprit is.
  8. Well, I was on a roll at that point in time. I dived right into the top 20 back February or March. I've abandoned the whole idea of increasing post count, but I still seem to post more than the average poster. How I often end up as the top poster of the day, I am unsure.
  9. That's right. He is #25. Well, maybe he'll eventually make his way into the top 10.
  10. I agree! Thanks for sharing. I look forward to more.
  11. Frosty, now you have no room to bash the rest of us for our prolific ways. Congratulations. Your posts are usually amusing and often information as well. I look forward to 1,000 more.
  12. Sometimes I am in a mood for metal. I would have to say the best are Metallica and Slayer. The video for "Enter Sandman" is a haunting one. Slayer's is another favorite.
  13. I agree! That was a pretty good joke. I just read the first one, and I really liked it. Now we just need to come up with some for some of CJ's stories.
  14. Michael Phelps swims 5 hours per day. He's used to this. They said he's supposed to eat 8,000 to 10,000 calories per day.
  15. He has to win one more. I'm going out on a limb and saying that he will.
  16. He just won the Men's 200m Freestyle with a world record.

Hi Ash, I understand your frustration. Sometimes the best solution is just living day to day. Constantly focusing on what might have been tends to cause depression and anxiety. Should you have an eye on the future? Of course you should, but just try to keep a positive attitude. You are a smart, charming, sweet guy and there's no doubt you'll find that special someone. It may be tomorrow. It may be a year from now. As for finding another job, that can be difficult. Working 65 hours a week is doable for some people, and it's probably best to only do that as a short-term solution. As for the college class, sign up for the spring one at the earliest possible time so that you can be one of the first students on the roster. In the mean time, remember that you're still young and have plenty of time. Try to focus on what is good in your life instead of what is bad. Remember that there are people here who are just a PM, IM, or phone call away.
  18. Wrong Phelps... He is of no relation to the Fred Phelps in Wichita. Ironically, his father's name is also Fred. If I were him, I'd want an immediate name change.
  19. For those who do not already know, there is a sneak peek. It's a tiny morsel of what we really want, but it's still GFD.
  20. Yes, that is definitely a touchy subject. I was horrified. It was difficult to read, but it's true to reality. It's most unfortunate, but situations like that are all too common. Overall, that was a good story even if parts of it made my stomach churn.
  21. So far I have only read the first Do Over. I will eventually get to the rest of them. Anyway, I really liked it, and I look forward to reading more of them.
  22. I need some plot bunnies for the latter function.
  23. One of the best? I would say he's hands down the best swimmer ever. Look how many world and Olympic records he has broken. He's also still young enough that he could easily continue in London in 2012 if he so desires. He's simply amazing. Baltimore seems to have a swimming dynasty forming, and he is definitely the face of it. Speaking of his face, he's also cute.
  24. I am familiar with Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Henry V. I am really not into Shakespeare to be honest. I know this probably sounds bad, but I prefer modern plays.
  25. Tomorrow, he has another event. I can't remember which one it is. If he wins, it will be his 8th gold medal in single's competition and his 3rd medal in Beijing.
