  1. You're quoting bible verses? In my forum? If ever there was a sign of the impending apocalypse!

    Chapter 4

I'm hoping it's a fun adventure. George has certainly come a long way so far. I think the reason that the Wilcox clan targets George is because they can. Their power is generally concentrated in the navy. Bertie will be more immune to it.

    Chapter 4

    They're a bitchy bunch.

    Chapter 4

    I'm glad you liked it.
  5. Mine too. Jeremy doesn't like to reach back to the 60s for music though. He'd rather bitch about being stuck in 2000. ;-)
  6. When I think of Chapter 35, I think of this song:

    Chapter 4

April 13, 1797 The carriage deposited him in front of St. James Palace, and Granger alit from the vehicle, trying to look calm and unruffled, an affected air. He was as well turned out as one could be, with his new dress uniform coat on, a new silk shirt, new breeches and stockings, and even new shoes, with perfectly polished gold buckles. Dangling from his waist was his ceremonial sword made of gilt, and he wore the ribbon and star of the order of the Bath, symbols o

    Chapter 36

Just like the characters can learn (see previous review), so too can the author learn. I discovered early on that if a character was going to suffer, it had to be for a reason. Gratuitous pain only works in S&M scenes. :-)

    Chapter 36

I think all of these characters have learned from their mistakes, more or less. That doesn't mean that their core personalities can't come through and still cause them problems. I'm so glad you liked the chapter. I think writing the happy endings are always a lot of fun, whether it's to a story, or just a chapter.

    Chapter 36

You're pretty astute. I figured you'd like the father-son surf scene. I've been chuckling about that, since I wrote it before you said anything, and I thought it was cool that someone suggested it.

    Chapter 36

    You want me to?

    Chapter 36

Based on some of the reviews a few chapters ago, this one is pretty good. :-)

    Chapter 36

I'll see if I can't find some drama for you. ;-)

    Chapter 36

You just have to think about Robbie, and how he is, to know how this will end. :-)

    Chapter 36

    Grazie!

    Chapter 36

I agree with you, and thanks for "the perfect 10". I think they still have a way to go to work it out, but the basic desire is now there on both sides.

    Chapter 36

Thanks. You like Jeff, eh? We'll see how that works out. ;-) Granger's on a weekly posting schedule for now. Expect that to continue. There could be a few rocky times in the near future, though.

    Chapter 36

I think that the more intense the feelings Will or Brad have for someone, the more intense their anger can be at that person.

    Chapter 36

Thanks. Their bond really is deep and special, deeper than either one of them realize.

    Chapter 36

    I'm basically a sap at heart. :-)
  21. That was pretty funny. I don't think that Will (the cat) would have to do that. I think a simple nail to the nose would take care of the dog. That is true about chapter intervals. You were warned before you started taking this drug. I think you'll get answers to all of your questions in the next 5-10 chapters, give or take a few.
  22. This was a pretty long but intense series of events, so it was important to post them closely together so my readers, a docile bunch, don't get pissed off. They can also have short memories, since I did a similar thing at the end of St. Vincent. I'm not sure if this has come through as well as it should have, but Darius likes to be the center of focus, not that he needs all the attention, but he likes to be seen as the older brother who's more or less at the apex of things. In that, he emulates Brad. So when Will goes off on this tangent, it's probably going to piss him off, because Will's stealing the limelight. He'll view Will's trashing of the house and running away as ridiculous stunts to get attention, and probably view them scornfully. Jeff and Matt haven't slept together, but good guess. I think Darius cares, I just don't think he gets how much things have changed around home since he moved to Paly.

    Chapter 36

Thanks for remembering my team! I think that the thing to remember about Cody is that while he's sensitive to what other people are thinking, he tends to be pretty self-absorbed. I'm not sure I see him cancelling trips or disrupting his life to deal with teenage drama, especially when it doesn't involve him getting laid. ;-)

    Chapter 36

October 20, 2000 Santa Cruz, CA Will I read my dad’s email one more time, thinking about where I was, and where he was. It only took me a few minutes to figure out what to do next. I picked up my phone and dialed Stef’s line. Part of me wanted to call my dad, to grab for him while I still could, before he gave up on me. I was feeling desperate now, desperate to reconnect with him. But that wasn’t fair. Stef had been the one who’d been there for me through everything. I knew that

    Chapter 35

That makes sense. I figured they'd be scanning for him from the shore, so a later start would make sense. Still, the time change would be a huge factor. Good point
