  1. Your welcome ! hehe, you should really try a nice deep dish that is not made by UNO's. Layers of cheese, sauce, vegetables, and meats all going on top of each other with a traditional crust that is tasy.
  2. I mean I look at something and I remember a connection between point A to point B, but people seem to not notice it until you start pointing it out to them. One thing I noticed about people who have a really bad cognitive reasoning, they also have a very deep dislike of history. History to them is just words and stuff that happens without reference or meaning. I wonder if there's a link? On some other notes, I am branching out with my own private tax and business consulting business in addition to my day job. It has always been my dream to build companies and create a living legacy around me. Call it a God complex, or a Sim City complex, because I was addicted to that game as a kid. I just want to help people build up and shore up their businesses. Is it really complicated to get certain forms filled out for incorporation? Nope The complicated part is actually in designing the structures for a corporate entity; different structures have different rules and tax statuses. That is where creation and building comes in to play, which is something I love to do. It's almost like a work of art. On something not so boring, I am forming an idea for the extra long 75K word story. Genres in my head are: Science Fiction, Horror, Thriller, and Adventure.
  3. Fat is good, you will be covered in fat one day Chase. As for man v. food, I heard that he actually works out like five hours every day if he isn't filming in a city or something. @James, I had me a Po-Boy when I was in New Orleans, it was the soft shell crab. Holy Shit! It was so good. I also had some alligator gumbo, when I was down there, we only have just plain rice, chicken, sausage, and roue (the roue sucks) up north at our Tex Mex places. Crawfish is one of those things I eat deep fried, I like steamed seafood , but I just prefer it fried. And finally to the trendy SoHo guy, (I haven't been there in a years, not my thing really): Every time I hear Chianti, I keep getting Anthony Hopkin's line in my head "with Fava Beans....hiss" As for Pizza, I am set to two settings, thin crust that is crispy or deep dish that you got to handle with care. I don't get why New Yorker get so hyped over the Deep Dish Pizza issue, you can eat it with your hands just be careful with it?

We live in troubled times, but it is through mankind's darkest hours that we find ourselves and our humanity. Everyone who went back inside those buildings will always be remembered as heroes. As Abraham Lincoln had said in the Gettysburg Address: "The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here."
  5. It seems a bit odd to me that out of our thousands of discussion threads on GA, there's very rarely any talk about food or dining. I mean, I know a couple of you guys like me watch shows like Hell's Kitchen, Iron Chef, and Top Chef along with an assortment of Food Network shows in the past. So why have we never discussed food and dining? For example, was anyone surprised with the results of season 8's Top Chef (FYI, Top Chef is my favorite Reality TV show and Richard Blais deserved it, but I wished Dale L did not have to leave so soon; he was my favorite gay chef. Angelo is way too flashy for my taste ) ? Is Food Netowrk really going down hill with their programs? (I hate their new batch of TV shows) Is Anthony Bourdain really the God of Travel and eating? (I think so, but you may disagree, seriously the man is a genius.) Or something simpler like local eats, I personally hated the service of Harvard Square's Harvest Restaurant, why the heck should I eat there when the better tasting sea food of Legal Seafood is only a block away at the same price? Anyone want to try out their tastes?

    9/11 Tribute

I remember the day. The first news came in gym class as one of the coaches was muttering about the news of a plane hitting one of the world trade centers, but most people did not really care. We were teenagers thinking about our own lives. it was kind of strange to hear it happen through our English teacher's radio, no one knew he actually kept an old one around. The world felt like it stood still when the news reached our class of the second plane and others being the in air; it was up to 4 or 5 at one point. Afterward, none of us really spoke a word and the hallways were silent. It was the silence that I remember, more than anything from that day.
  7. Happy Birthday Conner! Here's a three line Poem as a gift, sorry it's not gift wrapped: Remember the years that have passed Hope for the happy years to come Live the year that you have now
  8. Well, I promised to challenge myself to write a different kind of story and I did just that. My story is called Reflection and it is split into three parts: Part I Symmetry, Part II Mirage, and Part III Revealing. In a few words, this story has sex, power, depression, kindness, and a life fulfilling concept embedded within it. The next couple paragraphs might be a little too literary, but I want people to understand why the story is like that: If you read my story from beginning to end, then re-read it again, you will figure some literary cues and allusion. Yes, I am paying a lot of respect to H.P Lovecraft's work and themes, but I am doing so in my own writing style and probing issues that many gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered people must deal with. My idea for the theme of legends was a very old legend that I kept hearing about, the Doppelganger. It has existed in many cultures and religious ideals about the duality of a person. A doppelganger is frightening to many people; imagine a person who is you, but not you. A double questions the very nature of identity and self, which are two things GLBT people deal with tremendously throughout their development. The subtext of this story is something I am very proud in creating, because I felt the inclination to develop it in line with my experiences and the experiences of people I know. Also, most people will realize I was being overtly sexual and coarse in this story. The sexual component was something that I wanted to branch into and incorporate into my stories more as sex does seem to missing in my stories. Maybe, I have a bit of Freudian interpretation about self and identity. Also to me, the least sexual relationship in this story was the purest. A relationship based on friendship and companionship does not need to be defined by dominance and power, which my other characters' interactions go into. You might need to dominate your own emotions in order to define you as a person, but the relationship between two people should be based on mutual accepted terms. Okay, if none of that entices you read it, then I wil give a spoiler; there's a "threesome" in it

    Reflection

Reflection By W.L Part I: Symmetry College is a time for new experiences and new friendships, if you allow yourself to experience and love the people around you for all their virtues and faults, then the rewards may be a lifetime of memories or a partner to share that life with you. It is a time of great ambition and hope, but not everyone will reach the goals that they set. Some will be lucky and have all their goals completed very quickly; others will have to wai
  10. Have you ever wanted to be a better person? You know the simple list of things: have more friends, fun, and fantastic sexual experiences just to name a few. Yet, what if the price is death?
  11. Called it, Tropical Storm Irene was more scary in its roar than its actual hit on Boston, but all the mass transit services got shut down and it is causing a massive headache for our commuters. We were east of the storm center based on path and forecasts http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2011/08/28/mbta_suspends_service_on_sunday/ http://www.boston.com/Boston/metrodesk/2011/08/frustrated-commuters-wait-for-last-ride-the-mbta-before-shutdown/UoLcAZWzdUe1a3uI3bSjLO/index.html As a city that can survive 40-50 mile an hour of blowing snow, we shut down our mass transit services for a scant 60 mile an hour gust with an occasional downpour. However, to put things in perspective, Some southern states shuts down after seeing a little snow for same reasons; people get scared of unusual weather.
  12. I'm in the path, but only slightly, probably at tropical storm strength, when it hits Massachusetts. People up here are less worried about the storm, because they seem to think it is another hurricane Gloria; all talk and not much thunder. Now if it maintains Cat 3-4 up to New York, people will start to panic and hide in their homes with shotguns.
  13. Darn and I thought it was Neville Longbottom
  14. This was an interesting article and surprised me, I didn't realize that Linux had been incorporated in so many electronics. I keep thinking of Linux like the open source operating system or the open source program using their code, not ATMs, TV's, and especially not Android phones. http://www.cnn.com/2011/TECH/gaming.gadgets/08/25/linux.20/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 I remember my first experience with the penguin, I had converted my old Windows 98 to run Linux back in high school and thought it was kind of like a downgraded version of Windows. The Penguin never quite grew on me and I eventually threw out the old computer and went for a Window XP dual core desktop. Anyone else want to talk Linux and its capabilities?
  15. It was like a sudden jolt, but I thought it was some truck moving past the KFC (Yes, I don't eat healthy ). They evacuated a lot of offices in Boston due to the minor quake; I think people still have images of Japan in the back of their heads. There's also some news on a Virginia nuclear reactor failing after the quake (from a 5.9 quake !). That's pretty creepy, but it was dealt with very quickly. imagine if the quake had been an 8.0 or something higher, I know most east coast buildings were not built to withstand earthquake stress like the buildings in the west coast.
  16. Yeah, i am watching it as well; I wonder how this will play out, but the NCAA does need to be tougher. At the very least one season suspicion should be on the table for Univ. of Miami. I know what you mean Matt and it is likely going to be the case, but I think ethics should come into on this scandal as the allegation are so egregious; heck, they cross the line of legality, not just NCAA rules, several times. Money be damned, if the money is a cloak of impenetrability, then why have rules and laws in the first place, just let people with wealth run wild.
  17. I know not everyone on GA cares or even looks at American College Football. Yet, it is an interesting area to look at for scandal and sports. The most recent big name scandal in Miami is so insane, it makes the movie "Caligula" look like an episode of "Leave it to Beaver". Let's see, money laundering, sex parties, abortion for pregnant player's girl, and other "fringe benefits". http://sports.yahoo....benefits_081611 http://www.cnn.com/2...html?hpt=hp_bn1 http://www.bostonher...position=recent Come on, I can understand scholarships, luxury sports dorms, and maybe gifts for championships. Yet, these "extras" boggle the mind. If these allegations are proven, then the University might be kicked out of NCAA.
  18. I'm a big Eve player (Right now the War in game is making PvP hard to manage as we have over 5K of players in some battles and servers can't keep up. It's epic for space battles in an mmo) I will probably branch more into Rift, but I am not touching World of Warcraft until Blizzard changes their game dynamics. As for console, I am a shooter/RPG gamer. I love games like Assassin's creed and Uncharted game series. A good game of puzzles and murder is what I aim for along with a mystery plot. One of the qualities I am looking for in a partner is that he can be a Gaymer as well Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception in DEC 2011 would be my choice for anticipation
  19. Also true with new Android phones like Samsung Infuse. Best advice, make sure you set privacy settings and don't post on the net unless you don't wish to be followed Don't forget to get a google+ account, when those things become abundant (I feel like I should start becoming a google-vangelist, seriously after I begun using google stuff more and more, I am now wired to google. They're not perfect, but they're much better in some departments than Microsoft or Apple)
  20. Among the Nazis even the leadership, there were a few gays from the early days of the national socialist movement, when even the head of the SA was a notorious homosexual (probably a bear bottom based on accounts ). At the very least in this case, a few showed that they still remembered who they were beyond all the propaganda against homosexuals. I hate to make a negative point at such a soul lifting story, but I have to point out that when Western Allied forces and Soviet Forces did liberate homosexuals; many were re-imprisoned for their sexuality again or were submitted to institutions or treatment. When it comes to gays, neither side of the war were generally honorable or kind. We hear stuff about the Jewish Holocaust with reparations and apologies, but the gay holocaust was not ended by the war and in some cases it was extended further due to "good guys". I doubt NATO or the Russian Federation will apologize for their actions following the war towards the gay population.
  21. "The shot that was heard around the world" was the signal for World War I. A very simple issue can lead to something very profound and dangerous; the London riots have grown to engulf many areas and it no longer matter what started the riots, because the signal has now been tuned on every rebellious heart. In the end, I have a sinking suspicion the US is not far behind the rest of the world in terms of popular discontent. We have had a pro-longed period of economic distress and very little hope in sight. Also, unemployment benefits for the millions still unemployed, both reported and unreported due to giving up on job search, have begun stopping after the maximum extension has been reach from the start of the Great Recession. People are fed up and it has been building up for a while, London was merely the powder keg and the UK forces need to keep watch, heck it might be necessary to recall some forces back to the UK for domestic security if this worsens. The reports are getting worse and worse about the civil unrest in the UK and I hope none of the GA members will be harmed or worse during this trying time. Perhaps as Jamesavvik once thought on another subject about the end of the world, it's not too late to get a few guns and stash a some gold
  22. My heart is no longer in my stories; I don't know why. It's like I know the words to write, but not the words to speak to my soul. When I use to write, I felt for my characters and wanted to give them a world to live in, but now, I don't feel anything. My heart is growing dimmer and I don't know why, except perhaps my life has become so cold from work.
  23. We've gone through half the summer already, but not all our plans and vacations have been settled. I was hoping to go on a trip sometime in July, but things keep getting in the way. Either I had a work related emergency or a problem with booking something that would not cost me an arm and a leg. Like my trip to Oquanquit, ME, it is so hard to find a room up there for less than $200, not to mention all the other costs from food and the amusement park. Anyone else have summer plans deferred this year?
  24. Lol! Thanks for remind me about Angry Beavers. Btw, Invader Zim! was 2000's and in my opinion the last good nick cartoon Didn't really liked spongebob, but it was at least watchable the first seasons or two. Rugrats was really good, when they were babies I finally got a few sexual innuendos and really outstanding jokes, including a really funny exchange when Chucky asked Tommy, "if this is how it felt to be married" after Tommy moved in with Chucky's family for a few weeks in one episode and they got into a big fight over how Tommy was organizing the toys, lol! (Don't forget the episode where Tommy cross dresses to win a beauty contests) There were lots of little thing that made this show special. All Grown Up! was a mistake to try to cash in on the tweenagers, since the people who watched Rugrats were in my generation and we had already grown up past that stuff.
  25. This is the right place to express prayers and hope: May the victims families find peace and may the guilty parties be brought to trial to face their crimes. I like what their Prime minister had said: There is no cure for terrorism as long as human malice exist, but if you don't surrender to the fear of terror, then its destructive power cannot achieve its goals.
