I thought I read that 11 gigahertz is usually a Military broadcast for short burst transmissions in ultra-high frequency when it is terrestrial in origin. How long did this signal last is a good question and if it starts up again, then get ready for this moment: Classified communications is possible as well and more likely.
-
Still, we will never know the full truth If this is really the message of an advanced alien Civilization, Governments would fear it's release due to the problems it could raise on social issues: i.e. many World religions may as well collapse or fear of invasion could spur rapid militarization for "love of Earth". If this is an alien civilization at Type 2 level, I doubt they want to invade, most likely they just want to see if we're ready to join the galactic map destinations, like a truck stop on the way to Vegas They don't need to contact us for any reason except just to say hello like we are doing or just accidentally broadcasting interstellar news, or worst case scenario, they could be "Space Mormons" preaching about the Alien Savior and the "good Word" that Earth can be saved.. If not, 11 gigahertz is a weird and powerful broadcast, potentially we're talking sensitive government data from US, EU, Russia, or China being accidentally revealed or even the existence of such high powered equipment.

SETI is also getting involved. If this is it and these little green/gray aliens really are Type 2 Civilization, I wonder what is their power source? Artificial Singularities would mean a mastery of gravity, space, and time so they wouldn't need conventional signals. Anti-matter sounds cooler than practical applications, Anti-matter can't practically be created and annihilated at enough ratio to generate that much power for constant use based on our current manufacturing methods. Controlled/Cold Fusion is fine, but you need a lot of reactors running at the same time for the same purposes; basically generating a mini-sun's worth of power in H-bombs. Way too dangerous for any safety conscious civilization that has passed a nuclear age of near Mutually Assured Destruction.

We've heard about the Best colleges and the best programs, so why not the list of the worst colleges for LGBTQ students: There are colleges on the list that promote "Gay Conversion therapy", "Christian discipline to remove homosexuality", and the allowance of "rape" by same sex members of campus against LGBT, because the school rules that the victim is the one in the wrong for engaging in homosexual behavior. (Not even joking on the last point, BYU) https://www.campuspride.org/shamelist/

Man Fills Lubricant Dispenser With Acid At A Gay Club
W_L replied to Drew Espinosa's topic in The Lounge
I concur, putting acid in a lubricant dispenser at a gay club is low! Homophobia is extremely likely. This is why you should always carry some lotion with you (moisturizing is always good) or have a pre-lube rubber in wallet :- If it was Ben-Gay, I'd say the guy was playing a prank or getting people to try a new kind of kink -
RIP Gene Wilder, may he live forever peacefully in "a place of pure imagination"

True Like most scifi and western seem to forget the most obvious You make fewer enemies with blankets filled with smallpox than you would with an army of gun toting grunts Hopefully in 150 years we are more enlighten on interspecies relations.

This is awesome news that might escape most people's radars with the struggles and conflicts in the world: http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/24/health/proxima-b-centauri-rocky-planet-habitable-zone-neighbor-star/index.html Being only 4.2 light years away near Proxima b in Centauri binary system, 1.3 times the size of earth, and with average temps potentially with atmosphere at 86 to 103 F degrees, it should be under observation for future exploration. Plus, the ultraviolet radiation could make for some interesting biological differences, if there is life (a Blue skinned 6 legged man, maybe, ) Of course, if like most human history, when we get there, it will end up like this: https://youtu.be/xM_RnDxn5rY Who's with me in calling this planet Pandora

Okay, just added several acronyms, FB, FWB, NSA, and LTR: http://lgbt-dictionary-for-old-words-and-new-terms.wikia.com/wiki/FB Also just added Absexual http://lgbt-dictionary-for-old-words-and-new-terms.wikia.com/wiki/Absexual
-
Thanks, I also just made an additional edit on Asexual after Drought made me look deeper into the epistemology, it looks like I was wrong, the earlier root word is actually Greek "an", not the Roman Latin language "ab". While Absexual represent opposition to sexuality, asexual represent lack of sexual interest.
-
Different root words meanings, English mixes in German, Latin, Greek, and several foreign languages/popular terms. In latin, "ab" can be translated several different ways
-
Tell me what you think: In honor of Cynus, the first word is Asexual http://lgbt-dictionary-for-old-words-and-new-terms.wikia.com/wiki/Asexual
-
Okay, I am starting the Wikia right now: http://lgbt-dictionary-for-old-words-and-new-terms.wikia.com/ It's going to be a labor of love
-
Care to share an example, i.e. sentence with "Androsexual" Anyone have a preference for wiki's?
-
Never heard of Abrosexual, but that's interesting. I am definitely Androsexual, I love males Not sure how that is different than what I am right now, unless I date a Female-to-male boyfriend or a intersex man, then it would cover more to be androsexual than homosexual/gay. As for wiki's: Wikia seems like the most common, but I hate their ads. Still, it is the easiest to use and we're all familiar with a variant of it as the biggest wiki online right now, beyond wikipedia. I am leaning towards wikidot, they seem cleaner and still accessible. The issue is the page set up will take more time and you need to learn the coding to get things in. Ourproject.org might be a possibility, it is a free system and they do seem interested in artistic and literary ventures, which a LGBT dictionary would be. They aren't that well-known though and to be honest, I just feel a little weird joining the "free software movement".
-
My idea is probably to start a wiki, it's already a common thing for gamers and fictional universes to have one, so why not a LGBT dictionary?

There's nothing in my eyes but tears of joy :,( Amazing job, helping a kid with a custom walker

So it just occurred to me, we don't really have a dictionary to explain terms, etymology, or examples of what certain LGBT words and slang terms mean in English, let alone other languages. I mean urban dictionary is fine, if you don't mind the homophobic uses of gay slang being used as examples, but I am thinking why a group of gay writers can not come up with a dictionary that can be searched and used for reference on what certain terms actually mean and continuously update it. I mean we all understand twink, bear, bdsm, and older terms within our community. However, there's a bunch of shorten internet slang from the common FB to slangs like BBC (Nope not the British Broadcasting, Zombie would be shocked at what that term means or not if he's into that ) or even ancient terms with modern equivalence that represent code words within the dark corners of the web, like certain derivatives of Catamite. Is anyone interested in taking on the challenge of getting LGBT dictionary together?

I knew you'd follow Tech trends just like me Tesla Suit in development Of course Heterosexuals already have their suits ready, damn the Japanese for being so bias in their Virtual reality development: It's called Illusion VR, I am not going to link to it as it is an adult themed apparel and we have impressionable heterosexual and bisexual teens
-
The console is the processor, VR equipment like Oculus and Vive are the displays and interface. Can't wait until we have Call of Duty or a game like Dragon Age in full VR. Wonder if VR tech would make it possible to experience....adult situations...with more than a quick cut screen Let's be honest, RPG gamer, want to live the story especially to that point.

If Team Lgbt Were An Official Contingent, What Anthem Would They Play
W_L replied to Former Member's topic in The Lounge
I'd vote we create a new song for our glorious new LGBT nation if it ever comes to that, which would highlight our unity, determination, and the love that exist among our people that binds us together.- 10 replies

The future is fast approaching for a new type of Video games, with more interaction than the Wii, more immersion than the Surround sound system. We now have games that let you have the power of God in your hands, quite literally. Not sure who else is planning on picking up an HTC VIVE or an Oculus Rift, maybe even a cheaper Samsung VR, but I'd advise try ut this game if you do: I've always wanted the power to throw earth into a new orbit or cause a supernova or put a mysterious black hole near us and re-enact an Interstellar movie scene VR was a theory in development for more than 2 decades, but we're getting to the actual marketing point of real systems. Who knows what else may be created, maybe an entire VR version of the internet like people have thought from the MAtrix to Battle Galactica's prequel show Caprica. (Just don't be stupid and make intelligent AI's) Science fiction is becoming fact.

I know, I am glad he found a great guy, too. (I am jealous of course, ut so are a million boys ) As for the blond finn: Let's be completely honest, we watch the Olympics in addition to our favorite sports for cute boys, or girls if that is what you prefer, of all body types.
