You could skip writing it and, instead, write about the characters discussing how nice it was after the fact… ;–)
  2. Maybe that’s the problem, I never shut the windows! ;–) It’s the Bay Area. It rarely dips below freezing here. And it’s an apartment building so the neighboring apartments insulate mine! ;–)
  3. I’m confused too. Even more than I usually am. What do you mean, how can we tell‽‽‽ ;–)
  4. I had wondered why I hadn’t seen you around much, but we don’t seem to read a lot of the same stories so that’s not too unusual. I don’t have any experience with anything similar, so I don’t have any health advice this time. ;–)
  5. All you need is love. Love is all you need. She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah…
  6. It was a surprise to see this chapter pop up! I missed reading about these guys. I guess I should be happy that almost all the major characters appeared. ;–) Will we finally get the long awaited meeting between Artie and Ezra in the next chapter? ;–)
  7. On the West Coast, they showed the final live and then are repeating the entire show just for people like you! ;–)

    Making Plans

Sorry, I wasn’t a Travid fan. ;–) All these changes for David and he doesn’t even know if he and Charlie are still compatible longterm. What happens if @FlyOnTheWall decides to be evil and torpedoes their chances? What if? As if there’s any chance of that… ;–)
  9. I read parts of the book series in the middle of the mandatory service at the rescue mission* – all I can think is that they thought I was reading a bible. ;–) * Religious scholars and students of theology would be appalled by the incoherent and inaccurate rants that pass as ‘sermons’ nearly every evening. Once a month, someone with a theological education speaks. Once a month, a group of college educated men speak. The rest of the month, uneducated speakers rant and rave in a disorganized, poor imitation of speakers they’ve heard in the past, spewing out hatred and bigotry disguised as a religious message.
  10. Tonight we find out that George RR Martin worked out a crossover deal with George Lucas before his empire was sold to Disney. The Star Wars Expanded Universe character, Winter, will arrive in Westeros. Winter will be sitting in the Iron Throne in the final shot in Game of Thrones! ;–)
  11. Spoiler alert! @MacGreg might someday want to read the books or see the movies. Stranger things have happened! ;–)
  12. He was a Hogwarts student who was at least a foot taller than Harry Potter and his friends! ;–) Cedric and Harry were kind of flirty with each other… ;–)

Poor Günther. Every year there’s a guy treated like a prop in a play. Are there guys clueless enough to stick around longer? How long have they been playing this game? What happens if a previous year’s ‘Günther’ spots them playing their game again with one of his friends as the newest victim? ;–)

It’s enough to drive a font designer crazy! You can tell when the font designer is from the US when a new font doesn’t contain the €. You can tell when the font designer speaks only English when there is no ç, é, è, ñ, ß, ü, ô, or any of the Scandinavian and Eastern European variants. Things used to be much more complex, but these days modern computers can handle multiple languages more easily than most users. I can remember shocking an Israeli-American by clicking a couple boxes in menus and having my old 2001 iBook suddenly switch to Hebrew, complete with Right-to-Left text in the menus. In the ‘90s, support for Hebrew on a Mac came in the form of an extra cost Hebrew Language Kit. Now days, I can click a few boxes and switch to Icelandic, Faroese, Japanese, Arabic, Gujarati or numerous others in an instant (not all applications can accommodate all languages). Too bad I only understand English! ;–)

Good thing I’m neither English nor German! ;–)
  16. They’re still playing their games. Neither one is exactly telling the other the truth. And now they’re adding a hint of S&M? ;–) This day together shows a bit of what life together might be for Aidan & Heathcliff… ;–)

I had skipped this forgetting that Prickly Prompts weren’t poetry. And then I get a Notification anyway. I don’t know why an umlaut reminds you of me. There’s no umlaut in droughtquake! drøüghtquåké? ;–)
  18. Maybe they can switch things up and use the old Adam West TV series as the inspiration for this movie! ;–)
  19. It’s good to see military personnel portrayed as having different skills and personalities. No matter how much the Generals want their soldiers to be interchangeable, it’s important for individual soldiers to have different skills. Different strengths and weaknesses mean, like plywood, they can be stronger as a whole than they are individually. Diversity is a strength, not a weakness.

  21. At San Jose State (the oldest campus of the California State University, the less prestigious sibling of the University of California system) in Silicon Valley, they’ve set up a food bank on campus. They discovered that a significant percentage of their students were skipping meals because they couldn’t afford food as well as their other expenses like housing (another major difficulty many struggle with), tuition, and books. Students are allowed to take food not only for themselves, but also their family members. San Jose State alumni include John Carlos & Tommie Smith of the Black Power Salute at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, Ray Dolby of Dolby Labs, Doug Clifford & Stu Cook of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Tom Johnston & Patrick Simmons of The Doobie Brothers, Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac, Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane, Amy Tan (Joy Luck Club), and numerous business and political leaders.
  22. Maybe Robert and Keno just weren’t meant to be together. Sometime people make better friends than lovers. And sometimes they just need to get over themselves. ;–)
