Jake always has his hand! (Just lock the door so mom doesn’t accidentally walk in on you. Just because we all know you do it doesn’t mean an adult wants to see you in action.) ;–)
  2. Must be why the dad was so clueless in A Soldier’s Guide to Single Parenting! ;–) And why the Canadian ’singer’ pretending to be American (and pretending to have talent) is so relentlessly annoying in The Church and the Tradesman! ;–)
  3. I do a little bit of writing myself but I tend to complete the story. The end is the hardest part you've gotten bored with the characters but you have to soldier on so to speak. the readers deserve an ending. Sorry to say this Comicality, but I don't want to read any more of your stuff becase there isn't an end. Hey you are a gifted writer your plots and character development are great. There are times when you can't stop reading it. But for me I don't want to go through that reading to have it not come to a conclusion.
  4. I found it cute and entertaining. Well written and it moves along so. I don't like long drawn out flowery descriptions. Like the author has a dictionary and a tusaris at his side and is looking up every pretty word he can fine. No you David told it how it is without all the BS that puts guys like me to sleep. Thanks fir your effort in putting it together.

  5. I only had one among all my Matchboxes and Hot Wheels, but to me Corgi means oversized toy car! ;–) And then when I read the protagonist’s name, Dagobert, all I could think of was the Dilbert comic strip with the Dogbert character. Dagobert sounds like an offensive ethnic slur (which Scott Adams would never do). Supporting Dilbert characters include Dilmom & Dadbert, and Ratbert. Dilbert is a Bay Area creation. ;–) I had to laugh when the doorman insisted he put on a mask.
  6. I think some 6” screws and a power driver would be more effective! ;–)
  7. Or a court sentencing (for being Alex's accomplice, naturally)? ;–)
  8. So we should expect some really spectacularly bad mistake for the eventual conclusion? Tom and Jamie will be attending a ceremony of some sort then. Wedding or funeral? ;–)

    Chapter 15

I thought @jkwsquirrel was the only Jedi here! So… which one of you two is the master, and which one is the student? ;–) [evil cackle of my own]

    Chapter 23

I think ‘orgy’ implies a one-time occasion or otherwise temporary situation. Threesomes, foursomes, and similar groupings imply more of a permanent or more stable relationship. But what do I know, I’ve never been in a three-way, much less a larger group situation! ;–)

    Chapter 23

I’ve never heard of a ‘rectangle’ in this context! If threesomes are often extremely unstable, I can’t imagine how unwieldy and wobbly a rectangular foursome would be. Thinking outside the box, a (triangular) pyramid might be more stable (with Jack at the pinnacle?)… ;–)

    Honesty

People used to say that about Gay men too. And it’s just as (in)accurate! Bisexuals are just as capable of love, commitment, and monogamy as anyone else. Those ‘paragons of the ideals‘ of love, commitment, and monogamy, heterosexuals, prove spectacularly that there are cheaters among all groups. Some men (and women) just can’t keep it in their pants!

    Chapter 23

Didn’t someone speculate that one of Jimmy’s hangers-on was Gay too? ;–)
  14. Robbie certainly has made more than his fair share of poor judgements, so he must be very experienced. When will Robbie’s good judgment kick in?

I don’t know how you managed that! The most common way to quote someone is to use the word ‘Quote’ located just to the right of the plus symbol in a gray square on the left-side, opposite the Reactions, below all Comments. ‘MultiQuote’ is the name of that gray square withe the bolded plus sign. You use that when you want to quote something on one page on a different page (especially in a different Topic, Story, or Chapter). If you go to the page you want to use the MultiQuote and there’s no black rectangle with a text bubble and the words, ‘Quote 1 post,’ you’ll want to redraw the page (one way to do that is to click in the URL field and then press Enter). When you click on the MultiQuote, the quote will show up where your Cursor was. A third way to Quote something is to highlight text and wait a second or so for a box to show up next to your selection that says ‘Quote selection.’ This allows you to choose just some of a Comment (instead of quoting the whole thing and deleting parts). A fourth possibility involves the Quotation Mark to the left of the Eye Symbol (Spoiler) and Smiley Face (Emoji) icons in the bar above these text fields. You can paste or type any text into these kinds of Quotes. I use them to quote text from Chapters or text from other sources (eg outside GA). Does this help, or is it too confusing? ;–)

Considering how unable they are to maintain a commitment, it’s amazing that they’re still in the band. Danny not practicing often enough is probably related to his inability as well. They’re all just typical teenagers. ;–)

How did you manage to get a Quote box with no text field? ;–) I’ve managed to figure out how to move a Quote box and even delete one after I’ve accidentally created one (without Reloading the page). I’ve figured out how to quote a quote that includes the quoted quote. I’ve even figured out how to spoof a quote (way too easy, by the way). But I’ve never managed to get one without the text field. ;–)

A few storyline, huh? That makes it sound like Strings has just become the first in a more-than-two-stories series! What are Jake’s initials? @Wesley8890 already as a story named JAM… ;–)

I’ve heard the myth that (some) women have teeth hidden in their, um, ‘bikini area.’ but I’ve never heard even bad jokes about men having teeth in a similar region… ;–)

    Chapter 23

I wonder why @Ronyx chose ‘J’ names for all the major teen characters – except for Tracy! [Emphasis edited by me in the quote.]

    Chapter 23

I’m guessing that my favorite Aunt has made them, but she’d have to mail it to me and I don’t want to ask. I would have asked my mother back when she was still alive and still sewing. None of my friends have a sewing machine. ;–) I thought about hand-sewing my own mask, but fabric stores are sold out of elastic. If I get desperate (if the lockdown lasts several more months, for example), I might take an old t-shirt and cut it down. One set of instructions I read mentioned that you could take the cotton fabric and stretch it and it would curl into a cord-like form – you could use that for ties. Hand sewing is very time-consuming and tedious. But I guess we all have lots of time on our hands… :–/

    Chapter 23

No idea. I got a package of five single-use masks when I ordered a 100' ethernet cable that was on sale on newegg. They gave me the masks for free, but instead of dropping it into the box with the cable, they shipped it separately! The cable was a great price and I wasn’t expecting anything more, so I was very pleased. (I’m going to cut the 100’ into shorter lengths as needed. I already had the RJ-45s and boots, as well as a fancy crimper.)

    Chapter 19

Can’t Kings create new Orders? One for youthful heroes? Or award them with a medal – a Rothenian Medal of Freedom, maybe? A Royal Commendation on fine parchment with beautiful calligraphy at least?

    Chapter 23

My county mandates masks when we’re in buildings (or on transit) with others outside our homes. ;–)
