It’s even clearer that Jimmy has feeling for Jack. His internal homophobia made him bully Jeff and hate Tracy. The accident seems to have caused Jimmy to reassess his feelings and attitudes about being Gay or bisexual though.

Mr Junior Adonis has two jealous boys giving him head and a third who probably would too. His young sister doesn’t care that he’s Gay and his older sister doesn’t either. His father has struggled with the concept but has overcome his initial discomfort. Only his homophobic mother prevents him from having an ideal life! Oh, and his broken limbs… ;–)

Well, Henry waited until the very end of this story to make an appearance! And such a grand entrance he made. I remember the ultimate conclusion to this series, but I can’t remember it that begins immediately after this story or not. And Henry ‘Atvood’ plays a much bigger part in the rest of this series (Henry is another example of how St Fenice isn’t too concerned about attendance of her church when she chooses the tools she uses). I was a little off on exactly where the action would take place. I was thinking of mountain fortifications rather than a castle. I remembered St Fenice/Lady Fenice, but I’m still fuzzy on just who Damien was reminded of when he saw her face. ;–)

I guess it wouldn’t have been appropriate to use the title’s initials between sections… ;–)

I wore mine out! Two or three of them! I also wore out my Sony CD stereo system component and eventually replaced it with my Sony DVD changer which still works and is connected to my Sony receiver along with my Sony linear-tracking turntable. (I never had a Sony TV, but I still have a 17” Sony Trinitron CRT monitor for my computer.) ;–)

I’d like to be stretched very thin! I’m slightly shorter than the US average for adult men and my doctor says I’m about 10-15 lbs overweight. Could you arrange to lengthen my legs, please? I like tall, thin men! ;–)

Tom is staying with Sid! Tom is what is occupying Sid these days. That’s why Sid believes that Tom will see reason. Because Tom is much more like Jett than he wants anyone to know! Good thing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell is long dead! ;–)

So everyone is converging on St Fenice’s castle! Justin’s in place (sort of). Rudi and Ed are on the way. But it sounds like Damien has been discovered! And Damien has a message for Mendamero – and I remember who that is! ;–)

Only if they’re peeing on your (or my) feet! Or if they don’t rinse it off the walls. It saves time and water. It all ends up going down the same drain anyway… ;–) Other ‘fluids’ that people deposit in showers are okay? ;–)

There’s a joke in there somewhere about Sailors or the Navy… ;–)

Lots of sailors in San Diego with their large bases down there. All the Navy bases in the Bay Area were closed years ago. They’re still working on plans to redevelop most of them. One of them is currently being used for testing and research on autonomous, self-driving vehicles and most of the big players are using the roads there since there is no public traffic. Usually, the only time there are large numbers of Sailors in San Francisco these days is during Fleet Week. Then there are lots of ships docked along the Embarcadero, including ships from other countries. Many of the ships are open for tours during the week. The Blue Angels traditionally perform over the Bay on the weekend during Fleet Week. RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) Snowbirds and the USAF (US Air Force) Thunderbirds have also performed in the past. (I’m kind of surprised that I’ve never heard that the FAM [Fuerza Aérea Mexicana] Escuadrilla Cuauhpopoca [propeller aircraft], RAF [UK’s Royal Air Force] Red Arrows, JASDF [Japan Air Self-Defense Force] Blue Impulse, or ROKAF [Republic of Korea Air Force - aka South Korea] Black Eagles teams have participated as well – if any of them have, it was probably before I moved back to the Bay Area in 1978.) It’s a tradition in SF to buy a Sailor or Marine in uniform a drink during Fleet Week. It makes me wonder how many Sailors and Marines have used that excuse to explore how far up the Kinsey Scale they can go during the celebrations. ;–)

I was sure that George knew that Billy is Gay until he said… And yet… I wonder if he thinks Billy’s conflict is that he’s attracted to both boys and girls… ;–)

That’s her name! I couldn’t remember it, but I didn’t feel like going back to look it up. Thank you for mentioning it. She seems to help whether you attend her church or not – if you have a role to play in the destiny of Rothenia. As Sheldon Cooper once said (paraphrasing), I don’t understand a deity that needs to take attendance. Some people seem to think that appearance of piety is more important than actions and behavior. If good deeds aren’t enough to get you into your fantasy of an afterlife, what makes you think that showing up every Sunday, but behaving contrary to your holy fairytale book’s primary rule (love one another)? Remember that your fairytale book also said, ‘Judge not lest ye be judged.’ And there’s also something about a mote in someone’s eye… ;–)

I’m guessing that Damien will be able to hear the conversation when the voices reach the room. But how will he be able to do anything more if he’s trapped in the chest where no one knows he is? It’s not like he’s got a military radio to communicate with Uncle Rudi and Uncle Ed…

I’m imagining you as Brother Canada from @Timothy M.’s favorite, SatW! There was another one I remembered about Brother Canada not having a gift to give Brother America, but I couldn’t find it. ;–)

I can’t remember her name (I know it’s not St Cher or St Dusty), St Feni-something-or-other, the Rothenian Patron Saint! And Damien recognizes his face in the murals. Repeated themes and echoes of the past. I had a feeling we’d run into the Lady. ;–) I wonder what Damien will discover when he unlocks the door that key belongs to? (I wonder what ranks Damien and Reggie will be awarded by Rudi for their contributions to the defense of Rothenia? Will the Lady Benefactor be there to witness the ceremony?) ;–)

I wish I had been so lucky! I was forced to attend Sunday School until U started working. Time-and-a-half Sunday pay was another benefit (until they unilaterally decided that Sunday was a regular retail business day and that not only would they stop paying extra, but that we weren’t allowed to change our availability even though most of s only worked on Sundays to get the extra money!).
