  1. ...because I can be really dense sometimes... Here is the Agnus Dei from the mass
  2. Thank you for introducing this composer to me! I just found this piece, and love the music and performance. It's wonderful and I've never heard it before
  3. @northie Some Fux for you Johann Joseph Fux, that is, great court composer in Vienna and associate of Vivaldi. Fux literally wrote the book on counterpoint
  4. 'CARHOPS,' is a rare gem. I commend author Nick Brady for tackling the subject of a young love between two diversely different boys during a time when racial inequality was a major issue. I fell in love with the characters and with each new chapter, applauded their bravery. I highly recommend this story.
  5. I had what is clearly the minority view that the protagonist endured too much of what I view as repeated emotional abuse by the deuteragonist for the story to have realistically proceeded the way it did. The deuteragonist’s poor behavior began in Unforgivable and, in my opinion, changed much too late to be excused. I believe the protagonist made the wrong choices much too often and I will go to my grave with this belief regardless of what others think. But, as usual, LitLover's writing is great – even though I didn’t enjoy this storyline. Aside from the deuteragonist, there are plenty of wonderful characters involved in this story. Many of the secondary characters deserve more ‘screen time’.
  6. This story is a roller coaster ride of emotions that takes readers from one extreme to the next. A story so well-written that it instigated debate between those who followed it. I highly recommend.

    Chapter 13

@Wesley8890 @jaysalmn Jayden's aunt has some very real world reasons for acting the way she does. They may not be understandable to others not in her situations and probably difficult to justify even for her, but she is the one who has been struggling to raise three sons and was forced to take in her nephew. She resents what she perceives was Jayden’s privileged upbringing and the burden he represents. Jayden’s cousins were providing his aunt with much needed income and other resources (like driving her to the store). She sees her sons as ‘earning’ money in the only way possible given their circumstances. She sees Jayden as an outsider who judges her and her family and finds them wanting. Jayden’s aunt has made a series of compromises throughout her life that help justify, in her mind, the actions of her older sons. Jayden broke the Don't Snitch Code and needs to be punished. That he snitched on his own family means the punishment needs to be even more severe.

    Chapter 39

Who? (I’m not kidding. I have no idea who you’re talking about.)
  9. Teddy Riley Ryder seems to be dealing (poorly) with PTSD. But we don’t know exactly why the trauma of his parents’ death has caused this reaction. He’s very lucky his grandmother is so understanding. ;-) Thanks for the correction, Jay! ;-) Thanks for the correction of the correction, Ace! ;-)
  10. Any code can be changed. I`m not trying to push anything on you, since I love the amazing work you did, but you could set a smaller time for the system to clear the notifications...Like fifteen days instead of thirty, or something like that. Anyway that`s just a thought.
  11. Moonrise, from Carl Otto Nicoli's opera, The Merry Wives of Windsor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTh8sTi9S7g A much superior audio can be heard here, beginning at min. 50:00

    Chapter 13

A hopeful turn for Troy, yes, but a disturbing and ominous one for Jayden. The Prosecutor and the Judge seem to be incompetent to have allowed Anthony and Tyrone a low enough bail that they were released. There appears to have been no consideration for Jayden’s safety! Between the Judge, the Prosecutor, and the detective, it’s amazing crime isn’t rampant in their town! Their ineptitude must allow many witnesses to be murdered before trials occur. Are they taking brides or are they just bad at their jobs? Someone call in the state or the Feds to fix the local ‘judicial’ system!

    Personal Truths

The countries I can think of that are struggling also seem to be the same ones struggling with war, natural disasters, or overpopulation. A vast swath of the world from the northern two thirds of Africa stretching to the Middle East and West Asia and passing across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and into the southwestern Pacific region. Venezuela and North Korea might be thought of as extensions of the two ends respectively. Japan is an example of a country aging and slowly depopulating, but it’s still a very insular country not eager to accept large numbers of outsiders. There might be some island nations that could be interested, but Global Warming threatens their very existence.

    Chapter 7

Stephan is a really good friend. Devan is very lucky to have him. Great chapter.

    Chapter 6

Jesse seems to be burning a candle at both ends. Unfortunately, there are people who live very difficult lives. Sometimes a person can be down for months, even years before they get a break from the pain and suffering. There may be lighter moments, but they may not equal the darker moments. Hopefully, the guys will catch a break, and Jesse gets his act together. lol Another awesome chapter!

    Chapter 5

Poor Devan must be feeling torn. Is jp on to something about Devan's late brother? Is there something more to this? His reaction to his brother's death is unsettling. I can understand Jesse, who seems a bit self-absorbed to miss the cues, but Stephan is always on point when it comes to reading feelings. Another great chapter, sorry for the late review my dear. I'm off to the next chapter.

    Chapter 39

In my defense, I am old! Olivia Newton-John burst onto the US scene in the ‘70sl. I never owned any of her records or CDs. (Canadians hate me because I detest their beloved Québécois, Celine Dion. But I’d put up with her if they’d only take back their juvenile delinquent who thinks he’s a singer!)
  18. Hello everyone! I'm Paulo, 34 years old. I'm new to the website, and actually new to writing also. Read some stories here and am excited about the quality of the works! I am from Brazil, so English is not my first language, although I love it very much! I am working on an unreciprocated love triangle story that ends in tragedy.... I hope people will like it!

    Chapter 39

Okay, I remember Split Enz (weren’t they from NZ? – is that why their name ends in NZ?), but I was more a fan of Little River Band, Crowded House (Paul Hester was cute!), Men at Work, and Savage Garden. Oh and Olivia Newton-John and the Bee Gees. I had CDs from Ice House and INXS too. Most of the ones that made it big in the US. They seemed to have had better teeth than Brits like Tears for Fears!

    The Bite

The fleet of quadcopter would be possible since he seems to be entirely too spoiled and would seem to have nearly any toy he wanted. Jumping on the lorry’s roof would be something a desperate teenager might try… And his sell-by date was 15 or 16.

    Chapter 5

I found this website because I have been writing a fictional story and wanted to see if there was some place on the internet where I could publish it. I stumbled upon your story and was instantly captivated by it. Don and Louis lives are very interesting and it just comes to show that life in unpredictable and humans are thrown into a path of decisions that affect the rest of their journeys. Congrats on the story! Cant wait for chapter 6.

    The Bite

Obviously more paparazzi blocking the driveway. Or has the attention-seeking jerk organized a fleet of quadcopters to buzz in front of the ‘windscreen’ to distract Bob? I suppose it could be a herd of preteen fans hunting for autographs… Interesting how the British-Canadian author manages to blame us by having this incredibly annoying idiot come from the US… It appears that the extremely juvenile brat thinks that biting someone is a sign of affection – just like pulling a girl’s hair or hitting a guy. We just saw the twat run upstairs. Has he figured out a way to jump onto the ‘lorry’s’ roof to escape his imprisonment?

    Chapter 47

Even 20+ years ago, pre-TSA, the airports around here prevented you from greeting passengers at the gate. You could only go to an area away from the gates in the less-secured area of the terminals. I can still remember 50 years ago, at Honolulu Airport (now Daniel K Inouye International Airport, named after the Senator), I can remember seeing the planes arrive and takeoff from a rooftop, open-air area above the gates – they only used those stairways on a truck and passengers had to walk across the runway to and from the plane. They used to have Lei stands along the approach to the airport terminals (plumerias, carnations, orchids, pikake were the ones I can remember seeing and smelling – but I can remember receiving candy leis as gifts from adults).

    Chapter 5

I once put up a question on a Gay porn site’s Forums asking how you know you’re a man (especially in regards to Transmen). Most of the responses were thoughtful and insightful. But a few seemed to miss the point entirely by mentioning they just look between their legs to know which suggested to me that they’d never really thought about it. If a horrible accident causes you to lose the use of your genitals due to physical or nerve damage (or if your genitalia does not match your identity), you are still a man. It’s your brain that determines your gender identity. For most of us, we don’t ever have to struggle with this issue, but many do. I find it fascinating to watch documentaries about gender identity. There are so many things I never think about and don’t have to deal with as a cis-gender Gay man. I have a bit of an idea of what it must be like because of my sexual orientation and because I’m not white. But it must be even more confusing since there are fewer Transpeople out there than LGBs. In the past, the main goal was to Pass which meant that they tried to erase any clues about their past that might expose them as different.
