    Chapter 6

Don needs to get in touch with his feminine side. I don’t mean receptive sex. I mean the kissing and cuddling that many straight men and butch Gay men dismiss as not being masculine behavior (unless it’s in the context of sports – just take a look at all the pictures of football/soccer players kissing in celebration if you don’t believe me).
  2. As far as I was concerned, my suggestion was always a joke! What was the craziest interpretation possible for the title? ;-) But you could still make it happen! For his parents, it would ‘solve’ Joey’s sinful pre-marital sex behavior. And it would be extraordinarily embarrassing for Joey in Gym class when he had to change into his gym uniform and all the other guys noticed. And the gossip would be too juicy to not spread throughout the entire school like wildfire – I’m sure even the faculty would be talking about it, privately, amongst themselves anyway. Joey would feel like everyone was staring at him – and they would be, trying to see if it’s visible, no matter what he’s wearing. It would take a very long time for his notoriety to die down – and they’d talk about it at every class reunion too. Carl would applaud Joey’s parents from the pulpit for being ‘responsible’ parents. ;-) Of course that might even increase his appeal to his female classmates since they theoretically wouldn’t have to worry about pregnancy. But chastity cages do not prevent orgasms and we were all told in SexEd that semen deposited on the vulva lips could still manage to find its way inside and cause pregnancy. Men reach their fertility peak around 16 – it’s all down hill after that! It’s a good thing that most of us aren’t trying to get women pregnant! ;-)
  3. This is beautiful. Artfully conceived, perfectly rendered, and full of admiration for someone I admire as well. Great job, and looking forward to an entire 'tim collection'

This newish GA software still seems to do lots of weird things. It seems like you updated the story, but it popped up as if it was a new story. Only it didn’t show up at all in the little window on the right edge of the Newest Stories page. That should have been a clue that this wasn’t really new. Seeing that there were lots of reviews on a story that posted at this time in the morning should have been another clue. But I confirmed it for sure when I found my review sitting there! I suppose it’s compensating in a weird way for the story that @Timothy M. posted the other day that never showed up on the Newest Stories page because he did something slightly wrong – or the earlier one that wasn’t mentioned on the Newest Stories page because a Moderator posted it.

    Chapter 6

Okay, I freely admit I’m no Alpha Male. I’m versatile, not a Top, but I’ve satisfied guys I’ve dated who only wanted me to top them. I just don’t get why someone would be so fixated on a single form of sex. I mean I understand there are guy like that out there – I’ve met them. But I don’t understand why they aren’t open to alternatives. I remember reading a story on another site where one of the lead characters was a Top. He was wounded in an explosion while he was serving in the military and his penis was severely damage to the point where it had to be removed. He successfully learned how to bottom and was in a happy relationship. One of his party tricks (only shown to a select couple who were special friends) was to ejaculate through his new urethral opening located behind his scrotum on his perineum (placed there so he wouldn’t dribble on his testicles every time he urinated). Now I don’t know how likely that transformation would be, but Don does still have use of his fingers, hands, tongue, and mouth – they could get pretty kinky if they wanted to! There was an author (who passed away maybe a year ago) on another site who often wrote about characters who were either amputees or were attracted to them. The characters who were missing part or all of a limb often felt disfigured and unattractive, but the characters who were attracted to them often felt that was the feature they enjoyed the most. Some fantasized about having a limb amputated, in some cases to the point of binding a calf to their thigh under their (baggy) pants and using crutches in public! Don really needs to understand that Louis values him for much more than just Don's erection inserted up Louis’s rectum. Don may have heard the words that Louis has repeated several times, but, at this point, he just doesn’t seem capable of grasping just what they mean. I think it’s going to take a lot more time, therapy, counseling, and patience before he’s receptive (not like that!) to what Louis has been trying to tell him.

    Chapter 40

I think Adam adds a bit of realism and grit to an extended family that sometimes feels like it’s entirely filled with impossibly perfect people. He has proven he has a warm heart under that gruff exterior. I appreciate the variety he represents.

    Chapter 40

There’s something that’s been bothering me. In the US, we have drawers in our kitchens and dressers. You’ve been very consistent in your usage of “draws.” I realize that Southern Drawl often drops the final syllable (or vowel sound) so it might sound like they’re saying “draws,” but they’re really saying “draw’rs”. I don’t know how pronounced that sort of pronunciation is in Kentucky though since I’ve never lived anywhere near that state. What’s the reverse of the devil’s spawn? What’s the female equivalent of sperm donor? What’s the non-step version of the evil step-mother? I suppose Will is literally the spawn of the devil, but the result was the opposite of the conventional meaning of the term! We need a special term for this disgusting phenomenon. ;-)

I didn’t realize there was such a big gap between the wedding and their moving to the farm. More of my age-related memory loss, I guess… ;-)

A & Z are married, but haven’t acquired the runaway Anderson yet? Or he’ll show up in one of the other two chapters? Or will you quote LitLover’s notorious ?

I know I’m not the only one to have missed Andy & Zander, but I’m probably the only one who is still intimidated by the more than 100 chapters of Twoey to start reading it even after all the rave reviews. (I even started to read one of the spinoffs, but felt lost by all the references in the Reviews/Comments.) But isn’t there an Anderson who should be with A & Z too?
  11. I prefer the gritty to the glitter and I think it's because I struggle writing happy romance tales. I've tried and it just feels...wrong when I do it. Some authors do very well with writing tales which lead to happy endings. I applaud them for staying true to their writing. Does a happy ending make a story bad? Heck no. I have read a few stories with happy endings on this site that I really enjoyed. Personally, I'm a fan of the tortured soul who ends up in his grave even after being redeemed. I love the anti-heroes. My characters lead me. Some may find love, redemption, and a possible rainbow with wall-to-wall sunshine along the way. While others just go bat-s**t crazy and end up thinking they're riding a rainbow to the sun. lol
  12. That was a Careless Whisper, @Wesley8890! ;-)
  13. …And in a special crossover chapter, Joey's family comes visiting from @jkwsquirrel’s Retaliation in order to cause sanctimonious havoc here too! ;-) Just for @Wesley8890 and @glennish… ;-)
  14. I’m reading too many stories with much larger casts of characters than W.A.R. I plead age-related memory loss. It’s not the first time, and certainly won’t be the last time, I get confused. ;-)
  15. I don’t hate you or what you said, but I don’t exactly agree with you. “Wow!” seemed like a good compromise… ;-)
  16. Isn’t Pamela Billy’s mother?

    Chapter 20

I wonder how long it will take for Eddie & Trip to get over their hero worship of Chris & Eric – I’m guessing it’ll take more than just a win over Frexbury. But they seem to be in a clear minority. Although adding Bailey would be a fairytale dream come true! ;-)
  18. I think you meant @Israfil, not me, but I do agree with the two of you. (I just didn’t post it. I know we’re easily confused since our names and avatars are so similar.) ;-)
  19. Proof that I’m not good at deconstruction! ;-)
  20. I think Billy’s surprise was more that others were aware of his cowardice. Billy seems to think he’s able to hide things from everyone else. He just assumes he’s so much smarter than everyone that they couldn’t possibly figure it out… He seemed to ignore that Emily told Billy and Brett that she doesn’t care what they do with their ‘bananas’.
  21. Is Billy logic, Brett reason, and Dustin truth? Kind of like how my teacher deconstructed Lord of the Flies in class? I never see those aspects of stories (I think it has something to do with my difficulty reading emotions).
  22. There always seems to be an evil relative in all these stories. Good thing Anna hasn’t met Will’s mother. Or Cersei Lannister… ;-)
  23. I can still remember seeing my father lying there on a bed in the Intensive Care Unit after his bypass surgery (very successful) with all the tubes and all the beeping and blinking machines! He looked so tiny, dwarfed by the bed and everything monitoring his condition. But my father had been in the hospital several days (after suffering chest pains) so we had some time to begin to get used to the idea – it wasn’t an immediate shock!

    Chapter 14

If Troy stopped to think about it, he’d realize he's already answered himself! ;-) Troy and Jayden need to talk to each other. They both need to tell the other how they feel – if they can articulate their feelings. Things are complicated by their respective situations.
