  1. If I think about this, I wouldn`t even have a photo, which is showing alone me. I guess the last picture of me alone somebody took was at my wedding. Normally I am the one behind the camera. LOL So good for you to have pictures!
  2. I am curious. Hugs Lyssa
  3. These are very interesting questions. I guess I never gave them thought just out of the perspective of an author or a reader. I almost ever see this from my historian of art point of view. If I study a painting, I try to see it in the concept and historical room, where it was painted and where it belongs. And the same way I see the unmoral/moral behavior oft supernatural species. But on the other hand it dosen`t have any impact on my moral feelings. It just is, like it is written. I don`t see any reason to feel offended. If there are things I don`t feel comfortable with, there is no need to read it. And it would be strange to force supernaturals in the human moral concept.
  4. Great poem! I like it a lot.
  5. Hudson was a bro before they ever coined the term.
  6. Three articles from The Advocate. A Slideshow (I was surprised to see myself in one of the pictures, but I’m not saying which one or where I am) From the print magazine An interview with Dustin Lance Black from the Television section of their website From where I was sitting in the Castro Theatre, I was unable to see anyone who wasn’t on the stage. The picture of the members of the SF Gay Men’s Chorus appears to be just a portion of the group who was there – they filled three aisles, single-file from the stage to the back of the theater. And Tom Daley did not join Dustin on stage. :-(

    Chapter 43

The last meeting with the Creids wasn’t very friendly. But at least they’ve seem Eric before. It should be an interesting time. I was kind of hoping the Tree of Life juice would stay effective much longer. I was wondering how you would deal with a King Christian who outlived his wife and his children – and maybe even his grandchildren and great grandchildren! Kind of like a reverse of the Aragorn & Arwen tale. ;-)
  8. As far as I can tell, Bill didn’t have any LGBTQ roles, but he had a supporting part in An Early Frost, one of the first US TV movies about AIDS. But my favorite lines that I’ve remember ever since I first heard them on screen in Aliens: Pvt Hudson (Bill Paxton): Hey Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man? Pvt Vasquez (Jenette Goldstein): No. Have you? This is one of the few lines of dialog that I’ve actually memorized on hearing it just once!

    Chapter 4

I was just talking to my therapist about porn. The over-compensation of guys who are or think they are less endowed than average – facial hair and extreme body building (exasperated by steroids) are common attempts at macho. And guys, especially in the military, who think they are too pretty and/or too thin tend to get enormous, nearly brutal tattoos as expressions of butchness. And then we shifted to the Gay for pay performers who are obviously getting something more than mere monetary compensation when they repeatedly agree to appear on camera with progressively more intimate behavior with other men. We discussed the psychological aspect of the topic as I see it. There must be some really interesting things happening psychologically with sex workers in general. Separating sexual intimacy from emotional intimacy is not something most of us are capable of. And I think fewer sex workers are capable of it than are actually working in the field.

    The Ring

So… The rapist returns! And the idiot girl still has no clue. And how does Travis solve the homophobic uncle problem? His nieces clearly enjoy being with him, yet their father wants to keep them apart. But, with the kind of lifestyle he leads, how much longer will the uncle survive anyway?
  11. I just saw an insurance company ad – the brand that used to use cavemen. A car has a dead battery and the passenger uses an app to get help. They show jumper cables incorrectly attached to the two terminals – you should always attach the negative clip to a metal body part away from the battery itself to prevent a spark from starting a fire! Apparently they are still using cavemen in their ads!

    Chapter 3

Chemistry. It’s why so many Hollywood screen couples move in together after the movie (only to find out that’s all they had in common and break up). A blurring between reality and moviemaking. I forgot about ashtray-breath while I read about them kissing, but now I can’t get it out of my brain! Thanks Lisa & Tim! ;-)

    Chapter 2

I think Timothy M is protesting too much. I think he’s into ‘meddlesome women.’ ;-) Eric knew that if he pushed Ryan too hard, that Ryan would say no immediately. Eric fed him just enough information to keep him interested and slowly reeled him in. But he seemed a little surprised Ryan didn’t fight him as much as he expected. So far I think my guess was right (Ryan as PhD student).

    Chapter 1

I’m guessing that Ryan is the PhD student. (50% chance I’m right.)

    Chapter 11

I’m glad Noah is choosing to fight for his people rather than flight. Regicide seems unlikely, but exile for Landon seems imminent.

    Chapter 54

It’s interesting how, as intolerant as Mitch’s family was, diversity has married in anyway! And while a few still cling to their prejudices, the rest have grown and become more accommodating with time.
  17. The air was cleared between Billy and Brett. Finally. And now they’ve had sex. But there are still so many issues that they haven’t resolved. And then there’s Dustin. A loose cannon with no reason to hold back now. I’ll be surprised if they aren’t Outed soon.
  18. Robbie has long known that Daniel is okay with Nathan being Gay. Why is it so difficult for him to Come Out to him? Rory also seems okay with Nathan’s orientation. And the stakes seem lower too. The longer he puts things off, the harder it will be for him. He knows he needs to Out himself. It gets better.

    Chapter 11

This seems like something the school should be funding – or at least subsidizing. This isn’t just a club, sport, or optional activity.

    Chapter 42

“Forgive you, Your Highness.” Was this intentional? It seems weird to me, I would think it would be, ‘Forgive me, Your Highness.’ He pointed to two dark haired me across the table. Men. Is Darrin for me? I love blonds! He’s tall and thin, kind of quiet, but empathic with a quirky sense of humor and a twinkle in his blue eyes, right?
  22. You keep finding interesting things to share with us. I’m sorry that I’ve gone a little too far on occasion. I am trying to be mindful of what I say. Thank you for persisting despite the tangents I sometimes go on.

A wonderful poem. I like the travel trough a time and light of a day. There are wonderful pictures and descriptions, that make one almost feel the warmth on the skin. Thank you for writing.
  24. That is a beautiful story! It held so much emotions in it. And both characters are lovely. The time of waiting and the new beginning... appropriate for to this time of the year. Wonderful!
  25. I see myself as an observer more than a watcher. I hate having the spotlight on me. I could identify with Maurice (like from the Steve Miler Band song or the EM Forster story?) even though I’ve never has his experiences. I did do a lot of AIDS Walks though. (I would have skipped this if it had been a poem.)
