  1. Roast chicken with Chinese five-spice, lemon, lime and herbs... I would be very interested in knowing how this turns out. Dessert is simply lemon icebox pie... Joann, would you be interested in passing that recipe along? Am I going to go out at 8:15 at night in the rain in search of plums? Shrimp boil. Because my husband bought shrimp at the last minute to take to his sister's this evening. The store where he bought the shrimp didn't have any. So I stopped at a different on my way home from work, also in the rain. I got home, soaking wet to find shrimp boil setting on the table. Seems they did have the shrimp boil, he was looking in the wrong place. He didn't see the necessity of calling me to let me know that little tidbit.
  2. What's on the menu for Christmas dinner? My family, about twelve of us all together, will be at my dad's. He's 81 and still insists on hosting the major holidays. We always have lasagne for Christmas dinner. I don't remember ever having anything else. My older sister will bring wine (we try not to let her cook), my younger sister will bring homemade bread that we'll turn into garlic bread, and I always make the desserts. This year it's red velvet cake and vanilla panna cotta with a berry trio. So what's cooking in your kitchen?
  3. I've never hit my daily limit.
  4. I have a Droid Bionic and, as it was provided by my employer with 4G, unlimited data, and unlimited personal use, I like it just fine.
  5. Jeremy's hypothetical character plotlines are leaking again.
  6. First time for everything! *Ugh! The quote function has gone whackadoodle. I can never tell where I'm typing.
  7. Having sex with my (then boyfriend, now) husband in the shower of the very public womens' bath house of a campground and then having his (my future mother-in-law) mother come into the bathroom and chit chat with me. We'd gone camping for the weekend with his parents and his sister's family. He'd bypassed the mens' and decided to join me when we noticed the womens' was empty. That is until his mother showed up to brush her teeth. He had me pinned to the shower wall, slow grinding while wearing nothing but water and a wicked grin.I was trying to carry on a rational conversation with her and convince her she didn't need to wait and walk back with me to the camping site while not making any...sex noises. Jeez I just made myself blush! The whole thing was hotter than hell. She, bless her soul, passed away two years ago this month, thankfully never knowing about this episode.
  8. Happy Birthday Jan!!! Best wishes for a great day!
  9. Happy Birthday Johnathan!!
  10. Ha! I do this all the time. My kids know if I'm muttering somthing about 'that damn arbour', I'm not talking about the trees in the backyard.
  11. http://www.scotusblog.com/2012/12/on-same-sex-marriage-options-open/ This is from one of the articles on SCOTUSBLOG. Now, I'm not a lawyer. But if I understand that correctly, if SCOTUS decides the proponents didn't have 'standing' in the first place, everything reverts back to the first judge's decision. Right?
  12. Happy Birthday, Wayne! Best wishes for a great day.
  13. Happy Birthday, Jeremy! At least you're not as old as dirt.
  14. I know, right? It's happened to me a couple of times, too. And I agree with everything you (and by extension, sort of, Tim) said.
  15. Ya know, Libby could write one-liners on the bottom of Dixie cups and I'd not only read them, I'd collect them for future reference. The woman's got a way with words,
  16. Duh.
  17. Although we all know I never bitch, this is my suggestion, too. Most of the time, it's well worth the bus fare.
  18. Why is it that Matt gets to have 'action' with everyone else all the time, but any time Wade gets 'action' Matt's supposed to be involved too? The whole concept of them having this open relationship where they both can have sex with others is lopsided in Matt's favor. Irritates the hell out of me.

    Chapter 1

Carl, you always manage to come up with such odd and interesting worlds. Your mind amazes me.
  21. Jack's always been one of my favorites. His use of an old-world style of writing set the tone for this anthology story.
  22. And it didn't bother me one bit when Jeff bit the dust. He might have been what JP, at the time, wanted, but he would have never been what JP needed (that, obviously is Stefan). It's the same thing with Granger and Calvert. Calvert is content to always support Granger from the background, which in my opinion, is exactly what Granger will need for the long-term.
