  1. At the moment, I'm at 96... When I hit 100, I turn into a pumpkin (aka retire). Did I forget to tell you that B1ue was taking over?
  2. Honey, I've been smoking weed since the 70's. Good weed, trash weed, really potent weed. I've even had the pleasure of some excellent Humboldt gold. And I have lived on the East Coast my whole life. I have never heard anyone use the term 'dank'.
  3. Soy milk tastes like melted plastic. Evaporated (not condensed) milk is milk with about 60% of the water removed and has a shelf life of at least twelve months. You can use it straight from the can in coffee (think half and half or table cream) or add water proportionally to have milk. Butter can be frozen up to eight months so buy in quantity when you can. Freeze in the original packaging and thaw in the refrigerator as needed. Same thing for hard and semi-hard cheeses like cheddar, parmesan and mozzarella. Softer cheeses, not so much.

    Chapter 2

The kid's a good looking 15 year old with a working dick. He's going to choose the sex option as often as he can. He's correct in his reasoning that it's not his job to make sure Kyle keeps Kyle's relationship commitments. His reasoning may not be right, but that's beside the point. Maybe he learned a lesson when he got popped in the nose, maybe he didn't. It's sort of like Erick's reasoning in popping Will in the nose instead of Kyle, his boyfriend that can't keep his relationship commitments. It's nice to sit up there on your morality cloud and pass judgment on sex addled teenagers. Easy pickin's.
  5. My husband and I saw Devo live, he'd won tickets on from a local radio station's contest (You're caller number whatever and you've won!). We had no clue who Devo was or what kind of music they played. It was definitely an odd evening. Rates at the top of my list, along with Root Boy Slim, as the strangest concerts I've experienced. And Flock of Seagulls had the best hair!
  6. Four or five days? Whimp! Try that for twenty years. World class insomniac here. I had to wait for my kids to grow up before I would take any sleep medication, and that's only good for five to six hours. Try the yoga, it is relaxing so that helps.

    Devestation (RIP)

This. While I disagreed with almost every stance, I admired her strength of conviction. It is something today's politicians lack, to the detriment of government and society as a whole.
  8. I totally read that as "Then Will shoots JJ..." Perked me right up!
  9. Paternity is complete, his nibs just needs to change the status. I believe he's also out of town, which explains the non-communication.

    Eurovision 2013

Once upon a time I was falling in love Now I'm only falling apart There's nothing I can do A total eclipse of the heart Now that's what you call a power ballad.
  11. What deters you as a reader? 1. What Dad said. I've read some kick-ass stories over the years that could have used a good grammar check. But I can still recall entire sections because the story itself was wonderful. I've also read a bunch of technically correct stories. All the i's dotted, all the t's crossed, every stylistic and grammar rule followed. Two days later, I don't remember the main character's name let alone the plot. 2. Dialog punctuation. Dialog punctuation. Dialog punctuation. There is no excuse for consistantly screwing up this one. Find correct examples and follow them. 3. Homophones. The worst one I came across was 'waist/waste'. Seriously. It was just...ewwwww.
  12. Oh hell no. Not unless he's okay with castration by rusty spoon.
  13. Really? And here I thought they did that so the entire broadcast wouldn't primarily consist of the former NFL player shouting "Dude!! Did you see that?"
  14. Okay that made me laugh.
  15. Eh...the drinking thing is mainly parents of teenagers expecting, for some dumb reason, their kid to not do the stupid shit they did at the same age. It doesn't work. Best you can hope for is they don't do even more stupid shit than you did.
  16. Good luck, Robert.

    Chapter 34

So...let me guess. There's some weird contest going on in the Authors lounge and the first one to get 10 reviews on their new chapter wins, what? A brand spankin' new toaster? The sparkly award wasn't enough? Now you want small appliances too? Fickle bunch, eh?
  18. **No longer a WST member Lack of recognition? You want to be recognized? Bumped up to Promising? Then write a damn fine story. One that catches, as a reader, my interest. And the interest of other readers. And then do that again. And then contact the WST and say "Hey. I've got a couple of stories posted and a decent amount of readers seem to like them for some odd reason. So I'd like to be considered for promotion to Promising." It's not really complicated and there's no magic formula. There are a handful of WST members volunteering their time and fifty gazillion* stories posted every day. If you think the quality of your writing (not necessarily the quantity) deserves recognition, say something. *Approximately
  19. Wow! It's so...sparkley. Congrats Poodle.
  20. I have a Nook Color that I got about four years ago. Although I've used it for the internet and game apps, ninety-five percent of its usage is reading. As someone who almost always carried a book with them, I'm very happy with the purchase. Does what it was intended to do and does it well.
  21. I agree with Mike. The forums not only allow the poster to comment on the story, they allow the poster to interact with the author and any other posters. You can't do that with the reviews. Fishwings is correct about view counts. Dom's not been active at all since GA Stories started and his stuff was transferred over, but he's got some decent view counts. And they can't all be attributed to Vic so someone's reading. It's understandable that, for a newbie, it would be hard to go back to The Ordinary Us's chapter 13 thread and start the discussion going again.Although, if someone did, they'd get a response. Domaholics never die, nor do we fade away.
  22. Anyone else hoping the next story is set in Canada with Lou and Marcel? And no one visits because its like...you know...Canada? Show of hands? :Vic2: *Shout out to Vic
  23. What Tim said (mostly). And one small reminder: Will's point of view!!! Obviously every 14 year old's assessment of their parents' parenting skills is completely accurate, right?
