  1. What are you talking about? That's called foreplay. Actually, when I saw the title of that video come up "Butting Goats" I must admit I got a little worried there. Conner
  2. Happy B-day, Ian!!! Have a good one, dude! Conner

    Oh, Rats!

I'll get back to you on that. I'm presently in transition and have no fixed pen. Conner

Well, whenever my life takes an unannounced turn toward the bizarre, I up my meds. Then I feel better again. I refer to my meds as honey bunches of oats. They put me back on my path...which I like to call my yellow brick road. As I make my way along the ybr, I ignore the gutless, heartless and brainless creatures that I meet from time to time. I make it to the Emerald City every time. There, I can sing and dance with the Lollipop Kids and I never pay attention to the man behind the curtain.
  5. It's a bit late to close the barn door, don't you think? Conner
  6. Hold on a second, here. This happened in Vegas and, as we all know, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Benji, as a Vegas resident, I call upon you to chastise this rogue. :2hands: Btw, one of the characters in that pic is singing "Under My Thumb" (Rolling Stones, Aftermath, 1966) That was the first time I went for an "Attila the Hun" look. Pretty sexy, eh? Conner
  7. Coming from a lonely Welsh lad with only dial-up internet service, this question is not at all surprising. So you've been counting your toes again, I see. Have you been able to come up with the same answer twice in a row? If not, keep trying. The laws of probability are with you. So, do you mean a total of more than 10 toes, regardless of the number of feet one may have? Or are you more interested in the total number of toes on any given foot? As luck would have it, I do, in fact, have more than 10 toes. As to their spacial arrangement, I shall leave that to your most vivid imagination. The person below me just went and put socks on.
  8. Moi? Assign blame? Jamais. Alas, my goat-like self is being admonished most discouragingly. Woe to the goat, I say! As Shadowgod admirably put it, you were the one person who might have misconstrued the impugned abbreviation. It was a kindness really. If you cannot find it in your heart to accept what I say, then I blame Shadowgod. Conner
  9. The chickens observation was delightfully hilarious. Furry chickens Shadowgod, who appears to have an attachment to the fowl, will be will be deliciously pleased. Conner
  10. I have not either. It seems my need for adventure died a natural death during my forties. Why didn't I try it out before then? Uhm...such activites scared me shitless. Never have I used a port-a-potty (johnny-on-the-spot) for anything else than urinating.
  11. In terms of my being here at GA, definitely a reader. However, with over 1000 exceptional posts, I can string words together. Frankly, I'm too sexy for GA. Team sports or individual sports?
  12. I must admit that was the most clever piece of irony that I've read in a long time. In one fell swoop, it indicts the educational system while taking shots at environmentalists and America's concerns around illegal Mexican immigrants. Irony is a most precious way of getting one's point across. From the socio-political point of view, unfortunately, it creates havoc amongst the populace. However, that is the very nature of irony. Later today, I'm sure Robbie will present us with his solution to this serious educational issue. Conner
  13. Suicide, in my mind at least, is a most challenging topic to write about, whether it be poetry or prose. You took on the that challenge brilliantly. The rage that this boy feels towards family and loved ones comes across with incredible strength and unequivocal clarity. I felt like the poem was trying to convince me that revenge was the boy's sole motive in commiting suicide. In juxtaposition to that, however, the poem invited me to experience the boy's pain, his self-loathing, and the abysmal sadness within him. The imagery the poem portrayed was superb. In fact, I found the imagery to be the consummate attribute of this work. This was no more true than for the boy's 'preparations'. My favourite was the shower.... There are many others, but I'd rather not quote half the poem. On the downside, there was little use of metaphor. There was only one that I found... A very effective one, though. I would have loved more. The only other criticism I have is one that has more to do with my personal preferences around poetry. I found it overly narrative...some parts seemed more like prose than poetry. I would be most interested in your views on this observation. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. Bien fait. Conner
  14. That was rather insightful, Jamie. I have to agree with you. As for the rest of you, what's the point of having this thread if all you're going to do is slap labels on characters. It strikes me that I'm learning more about the members posting than I am about any of Dom's characters. Let's have some substance to your arguments. Conner
  15. That was excellent, Kevin! You're my pun hero now!! Conner

  17. Great line, Steve. I just peed on it, so it's mine! You can't use it anymore! It certainly sounds like the last 3 years have been a great experience for you. Raising 6 kids...WOW! Maybe I sould try and stay on topic this time around. I live in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada's western most province. Vancouver is tucked into the south-west corner, right on the Pacific Ocean. It's absolutely awesome living here. I spent most of my life in Montreal, Quebec, where I was born, and in Toronto and Ottawa, Ontario. In terms of scenery, it's just breathtaking here and all over BC. Vancouver can be damp, we have Seattle-like weather. When the sun is shining, though, nothing compares. The Canadian Rockies are just a quick trip to our neighbouring province, Alberta. Did I mention that the 2010 Winter Olympics will be held here? BC weed has an international reputation. I don't inhale, though. There's no bud like BC bud. In terms of other parts of Canada, I would like to spend more time In Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. I have driven across this great nation four times. Other countries i have visited include: USA, Mexico, Australia, Ireland, England, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Hungary, Denmark, Russia, China, Taiwan and S Korea. I've been most fortunate in having a job that required me to travel. Most of the time, someone else was picking up the tab. Cities that I have enjoyed the most were: San Diego, San Francisco, New York, Sydney, everywhere in Ireland, Paris, Geneva, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Moscow, Beijing and Soeul. Once I retire, I hope to be able to spend 3 to 4 months in Ireland (using Dublin as my base I want to hit every pub in the country ), 3 months touring American cities who have major league baseball teams and the rest of the time here in Vancouver. I never want to go to New Jersey. :nuke: Sorry, dawg. It slipped out again. Conner
  18. Remind me not to tangle with you......too often. I'll just stay put for a while and tend to my contusions and lacerations. That's good, laddie, give better than you got. It's so manly...and it feels real fine. Conner
  19. Ok, CJ, how long do you think you're going to play out the Brandon-Chase thing? I'm a wreck. While in a way it's deliciously sweet, there's only so much I can take. There's only so much that Brandon and Chase can take too. If you're not careful, they're gonna pounce on one another right in the hotel lobby. Hmmmm....now that does have possibilities. Then you write lines like this...
  20. I'm a hopeless romantic. Sentimental R me. I have tons of sentimental stuff. All kinds pf photos; things my kids made for me when they were little (they're now 27, 31 and 33); I still have the first lanyard I wore at 16 when I joined a reserve army artillery unit in Montreal. I could really bore you to tears on this one....so I'll stop. Do you own a good set of basic tools?
  21. Not really, but here's how I would pronounce it if you walked into the room. Hello, Ieshwar! Did I get it right? Ok, fine, I'll give you the phonetics....sorta 2 syllables - first one eesh sounds like leash without the l in front (leash - as you would put on a dog) second one war sounds like war but with a soft a sound, not an 'or' sound. The person below me has studied English phonetics and would have done a much better job explaining.
  22. With all the chemicals and other stuff in the air and its reaction with normal UV radiation, I thought the Jersey sky was always neon-like. Sorry, dawg, the made me say that. Conner

    Oh, Rats!

While your there, Bondwriter, please instruct the occupant that goats don't live in houses.
  24. I'm leaning toward the "goofed" explanation. Conner
