  1. Wow! - and I always thought 'antidisestablishmentarianism' was the longest word. (apart from some of those chemical monsters and Welsh place names)
  2. Have a great day Bill!!

Wow! Thanks for your kind words, and yes, something will have to happen soon.

    Part 11.

Hi Steve,And thanks again. I'm delighted you enjoyed the chapter - it was a hard one to write' lol - as I've said before - it's the characters who are wicked when they come out with unexpected things.

    Part 11.

ATTUNGA PART 11. *** Awed and awkward, Wirrin stared at the standing crowd in front of him, over 1200 witnesses gathered to meet Sonic in person. Sitting comfortably in front of such an august group, with Akama next to him, and on his other side an empty seat then Thom and Gelar, all on a slightly raised dais, was distinctly uncomfortable, but it was Akama's plan. Attention coming from all those important eyes was disconcerting. Thank goodness for the quiet comments from Akama, giving friendly
  7. The latest clue made me think of Mercedes Lackey - but she started publishing more than 25 years ago. Grrr! lol - I'm close to googling too (except I use Duckduckgo).
  8. Hm! First in a series but it opens with reference to a past history? I get the feeling it might be an angsty, relationship driven, type of story. Is it a series many people have read?
  9. Congratulations to the USA and NASA for the inspiring and successful Mars landing of Curiosity. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

    Chapter 1

With an Australian setting and hopefully a few smiles, I hope you'll continue to enjoy the story.
  11. Hi rec, Thanks for the recommendation. You were spot on. At first it was a bit slow but then it 'caught'. lol - I read the last 19 chapters in one sitting.
  12. Podga's turn, not mine. I didn't even recognise it till he said the name.
  13. Good grief! I didn't know anyone still read Jack Chalker.
  14. Go ahead Comic - we're all waiting for the next one.

    Part 10.

ATTUNGA PART 10. “What's going on?” “I'm wrecked.... Totally!” “We know that. But why?” “Sonic's a slave driver. I can't keep up with him.” Wirrin was astonished. He'd never heard Calen say one word against Sonic, ever, and his surprise must have shown because Calen laughed as he collapsed onto the grav-sofa. “He is not really a slave driver. He's just got too much energy and he's so excited about everything he does that he keeps going till it's right. I think I'll start taking a double do
  16. Nothing familiar for me. The only vibe I get is maybe it's an m/m story, though there's nothing to indicate that. Yep! Time for a clue please.
  17. Yo Kiltie! Have a good one!
  18. You sure made short work of that one - go for it Andy!
  19. Wow! Thanks for this information about CNET. I hate it when something that's been reliable turns unreliable without warning.
  20. Hmm! I was a bit worried that this book might be off the radar - but I also knew there were some scifi buffs following this topic. It's 'Agent Of Vega' by James H Schmitz. This book should be much more universally recognised - 'In a hole in the ground there lived a ...'
  21. Nope, sorry, not Delany or Aldiss. Mercedes Lackey, Eric Flint and David Freer recently wrote a sequel to another of his books, which IMO failed miserably.
  22. It was first published about 30 years before you were born Andy. I consider the author to be one of the unsung greats of scifi..
  23. HAL was speaking in 2001. Thanks Zombie. '"It just happens," the Third Co-ordinator of the Vegan Confederacy explained patiently,...'
  24. Double GRR! That's because I knew I knew it and cheated (googled) to make sure.
  25. GRRR!! - Well, it's the fun of it I suppose when you reckon you know - but you can't dredge it from the depths of memory.
