  1. Puritanism came from England and took root here in America where there are still strong overtones to this day. Therefore I blame the Brits!
  2. I think as long as Mark keeps his sister in the picture with regular phone calls and visits that she will be ok. But first they have to get through the deployment and separations are not ever easy....

    Chapter 4

As to the last question Will asked, I am assuming you meant besides Griffin.....

    Chapter 4

Well it seems that plans are falling into place for both Wade and Matt and it will be each on their own. Which for their own personal growth, is in their best interests. Arbour still knows how to write a hot sexy shower scene! More please!
  5. Since Westie is one of the resources Mark Arbour uses and today is his actual birthday (although he already had his fun weekend in gay Paree) how about everyone join me in wishing him: Happy Birthday Westie & Many, many more!
  6. I actually see Marie driving something like an Acura http://media.ed.edmunds-media.com/acura/rsx/2002/oem/2002_acura_rsx_2dr-hatchback_type-s_s_oem_1_500.jpg

    Part 35.

Talk about a test of intellect, skill, intuition and dedication, and still the suspense builds.....
  8. Sunday 10:19 am drinking coffee and getting ready to jump in the shower.....
  9. Here's an interesting article about doing away with daylight savings time as well as two time zones in the continental US. http://qz.com/142199/the-us-needs-to-retire-daylight-savings-and-just-have-two-time-zones-one-hour-apart/
  10. I too really liked that Matt brought up their good times together and made Wade really think about them. Also big thanks for giving us the update on the ages of the characters. The babies will be walking and talking simple baby words by now.
  11. Your birthday weekend in Paris seems to have made your libido soar. I said the chapter had a huge surprise and made no mention of anyone being huge down there....But one can hope!
  12. Chapter 2 of HMS Valiant is up and has a huge surprise.

    Chapter 2

OMG! Seriously? I was blown away when Pellew introduced Horatio Hornblower. I hope the callow Hornblower impresses with his work ethic and serious demeanor. I don't recall that he has any musical talent. Now I might just have to brush up on some reading I haven't done in almost fifty years. More please!
  14. Article about March 2014 North American snow cover in USATODAY http://www.usatoday.com/story/weather/2014/03/05/north-america-snow-cover/6089667/
  15. You make some great points and I can't help but note that it's springtime. (Or it's supposed to be!) So let me see, even in a big school with a big stadium that's no more than 7-8 home games in the fall each year or 8 x 115,000 so call it about 920,000 fans. I can't deny that college football is exciting. But football is a short season. Especially compared to most major league sports outside of football. If you go to the site: http://espn.go.com/mlb/attendance/_/year/2013 you will see that there were 8 MLB franchises that had 3 million or more fans in 2013 and at least one of them is from a relatively small market (the Cardinals here in St. Louis). We routinely draw over 40,000 fans for a long so-called boring baseball game and have for the last decade which you can verify by selecting the various past years at the top of that page. And yes most of the fans are in Cardinal colors (think RED) and they give standing ovations to great plays routinely. Sometimes even to opposing players unlike what you might find in Philly! So when it comes to describing the most passionate dedicated fans, it just might be how you slice and dice it.

    Prologue

    Whew! Nice set-up and introduction!
  17. Not unless it's a video game.....
  18. I loved it too. They still have a hard road ahead with a deployment to deal with and all that entails....

    Chapter 3

OMG AQG ended the chapter with a bald face come-on! Got me all sweaty just thinking about the possibilities of which we will never get the details....
  20. This is what the telephone looked like in my grandmother's house until they moved in 1960. It didn't have the modern connector at the end of the cord as it was hardwired into their line. That phone was about 30 years old when they moved and it never once had a service problem.
  21. Wow, I never realized just how far ahead Mark has written this story.
  22. What is it that Canadians are famous for saying? Ehhh?
  23. Porn has been around forever and is documented at least as far back as written history including pictograms. I agree with most of what has been said. I don't think it's appropriate for very young children although I admit I was interested in my older brother's stash from the time I was eight and it probably did stimulate more than I needed at that age. I also think that the whole sadism, masochism, bondage, and cutting is more than a little too much for me. From my point of view, sex is supposed to feel good. I don't equate being hurt with feeling good and I think that is where it is problematic. I particularly agree with the comments about desensitization and addictive personality types. As a person who has been looking at it for more than fifty-five years, I can say that usually, a little goes a long way. A lot becomes boring.
  24. re: above reference to Back to the Future. More importantly https://www.gayauthors.org/story/mark-arbour/flux/2 of Flux is up and the encounter between Matt and Will is not to be missed!
