New York Post reports that on July 10, MTV and Mike Judge have signed a deal to bring back Bevis & Butthead. My prediction>> In the new Bevis & Butthead they are no longer jr high jerk offs. They are thirty something burnout crystal head losers. It sucked once. I expect it to really blow this time around.

File this under Will never happen in a million years. Atlas Shrugged takes a big smelly dump on the collectivist/leftist/mommy state ethic. Hollywood is sold out so far to the left that they are chasing Joe Stalin. Might happen after the Bush tax cuts expire and the Hollywood elites get taxed out of their mansions. File it under Maybe.

Checking in from vacation: Are you wrong? I won't judge you. I understand that it is an ugly situation. In My Humble Opinion if you are still pissed off years after his death, you are letting him live rent free in your head. What you feel isn't wrong but you might want to try something different because I don't think that it's working for you. It took me a long time to realize the the best place in my life for people that have hurt me is no where at all. If I carry something like that for too long, I'm going to go get the SOB. If he's dead, where does the rage go? No where good from my experience.

I'm reading a book now that I'm tempted to punt. The plot is so horrifying that makes the movie Paranormal Activity look like the Sound of Music. The damn thing had me in a cold sweat and I'm a veteran of much horror.

Have you ever given up reading a book or a story? What would prompt you to punt? Bad writing, poor editing, ridiculous plot? Was it simply not what you expected?

I'm leaving for parts unknown Friday and will be gone for a week. No phones, no computer, no stress and no saving complete idiots from their own self-made impossible situations. The last part I call work and I won't have to do any for 10 whole daze. Whoopie! I dread what disasters the f**k-wits at work may cause while I'm gone but screw it. That's how they know that I'm indispensable. _____________________________ Look for my new story to launch in August.

There are several mechanisms that make this work: Absorption is the most common. A photon at a specific wavelength encounters an atom or molecule and its energy is absorbed. Generally speaking, the higher the wavelength, the easier it is to be absorbed by our to component parts of our atmosphere at varying altitudes and pressures. Different gases (atoms or molecules) absorb different wavelengths more efficiently. What radiation gets through is an aggregate of what is not well absorbed by N2, H2O, O2 or CO2. Particulate radiation like alpha and beta particles are absorbed into the magnetic field via a different mechanism. Those fields (lines of force) have polarities and particle streams of their own which are overwhelming to individual particles.

Authors: how about a story of a nice tame suburban guy who meets a rouge like this who turns his life upside down. Catch phrase: "Come on. Live a little." BTW- this guy is going to die. He's made the cops in goodness knows how many states look stupid and they consider that a capital offense. He won't be executed but he would probably like that better. They'll just put him in a cell with one of their pet lifers and he'll get his throat cut.
