  1. Meh. They only thing I aspire to is to get paid at the end of the month and not get sued. I chose the wrong area of law. Family was always the poor relation. I used to be a partner but it was too much hassle and took up time I could have spent on what I really enjoy... giving legal advice to people who need it, or think they do

    Chapter 9

Thank you for your comment/ It's always nice to know that someone is reading and enjoying. That's why I do what I do.

    Chapter 9

I'm so, so sorry I missed this review, especially as it was such a great, thoughtful one. You've totally got all the elements I was trying to put in there and my characters too. I love the way you realise that stories have a life of their own and go on, even when they're not being told. thank you
  5. I don't think age and experience count when voting in these awards. We're not voting for the writer we're voting for the story.
  6. As someone who has serious problems with their back and is on some pretty serious drugs for it, I have found that the best cure of all is a hot water bottle. It can take the place of at least a couple of doses of meds. Also, if you lie on your back in bed, put a pillow under your knees so you relieve the pressure on the bottom of your back. Alcohol's good too, seriously, a glass of wine or two relaxes muscles and helps relieve the spasms
  7. I think the pros and cons list is a great idea, I use it myself. I think the greatest test though is the happiness test. Would you be happy to give up this opportunity and move to the Czeck Republic? Would Paya be happy if he moves to London? If the answer to either of those questions in no then you have your decision. If both answers are no you're screwed... no, seriously, it's a first step only. Another questions is whether it has to be permanent. Maybe a few years in London consolidating your position financially and then a move. You could even look at buying property in the Czeck Republic once you have saved enough, and share your time. Try to think outside the box. It doesn't have to be a straight choice. (pun intended ) The main thing is that wherever you live you guys will be together and that's the really important thing. When a big decision has to be made it's sometimes hard to see the wood for the trees, this decision is a big one but it's not the only thing that's important in your lives. You are.
  8. Remind me never to edit for you. Shame about Dansar. He could be abrasive but he talked a lot of sense... sometimes
  9. Thank you. I'll be working on the interview over the weekend but I'm not sure when it's going to be aired because I have another interview to work on that is FAR more important. I can hardly beleive I'm saying this but my ABSOLUTE favourite author EVER, Storm Constantine, has agreed to an interview and I couldn't be more excited if it had been the queen
  10. Well, I think it's kind of obvious that I am a MAJOR Andrej fan Is he too beautiful? Is there such a thing... I don't know. Unlike Maria, I am absolutely sure that, all things being equal I would desire him equally as much if he was a woman. For me, beauty is beauty and has nothing to do with gender. As I have said before... I like my women to look like a woman and my men to look like a woman... Perfection. The 'all things being equal' refers to me being 35 years younger, and able to realistically desire anyone of that age. Yes, he makes my pulse flutter, just for the sheer beauty, but I genuinely can't imagine doing anything sexual with him, not even kissing. He's a baby. On the other hand I really don't think that Phillip is particularly good looking at all. It's just as well we have different ideas of beauty. I think nature/god/whatever, knows that it's doing in this respect. On reflection I decided to add .... Jonny Depp. Sigh. Now, as beautiful as Andrej is if ther was a choice between him and Jonny... no competition. I've been in love with Jonny forever.
  11. Umm... I guess my answer would depend on whether it's a creation or confesstion. Although, i guess not... Thank you for sharing.
  12. I have been following Robyn's story since it started and I LOVE it. Stupid as I am, it took me until the end of last year to understand the title but it didn't take me anything like that long to fall in love with the characters. As soon as I actually have time to read I will be catching up with this awesome story... as long as she promises to be nice to my Seren
  13. Not going to argue with that
  14. So, you all know I've stared myself a blog nephylim-author.blogspot. com I have been interviewing fellow authors and today a friend gave me the idea of interviewing characters. Once the idea was in my head, I found that I got really excited at the thought of interviewing Silver. I would love to get to know him better and the thought of having some further glimpses inside that crazy head of his it uber intrigueing. BUT... here's the rub. I am only going to do it, if someone is going to read it. SO... If you guys come up with enough questions, or pledges to read... I'll post the interview. Go for it

    Grab Bag!

I've read some of the stories and followed one in particular. I'm not one for historical stories so I doubt I'll read that one, not becuase I don't think it will be good but just from personal choice. As someone with no limits I like someone who writes dangerous things. Matthew Sheppard springs to mind. That was a dangerous things to write and could have gone so badly wrong. But it didn't because Mark has a way of making bad things readable. Apart from the writing, Mark's a bitch but I love him nevertheless
  16. Try Fiction Stories Online. It's a new forum but sister to this one. It had some gay stories but straight ones too. http://www.fictionstoriesonline.com/forums/
  17. That;s just plain weird, but I like it a lot. This is my favourite chapter so far.
  18. I love the fluidity of your writing. This is the first chapter that didn't make me sad... well except that from the beginning of the story it's clear that, for whatever reason, the relationship didn't last. I like Stephen immediately and the conversation was delightful. I really loved the last sentence

    Session One

that was another sad chapter. It was a hard situation... a lot of hard situations. Your story telling is exemplary. though, as always
  20. That's so sad. Poor Other Michael. It makes my stomach turn to think about him and what is happening to him. From your blog I'm sad about what happens to him after too. I love your story telling technique

    Confession

Great start. The ramblings of an old man. Hmm... I'll remember that. Nearing 50 must make me pretty much on the road to senility, so I am going to have to remember this

    Chapter 1

Very powerful stuff. I'm impressed. Even though it does leave me feeling sad. Yay... you made someone feel something from your writing.., you're a REAL writer now

    Chapter 1

Crazy. I've no idea what to say. For me, that's crazy. It's easy, isn't, to do stupid things when you're mind's messed like that. I've done kind of a similar thing (much lesser extent) and wondered... was it accidental, or some self destruct mechanism taking over without me consciously being aware of it? that's the feeling I get from this piece - that there's an element of accident and an element of unconscious design. Whatever, I'm glad you are still here to write such a powerful, thought provoking piece of work

    Too Many Likes

And then there are the ones for each chapter, and then there are the stars for the story and each chapter... and the same for each post and for each entry in the gallery I don;'t know about anyone else but with me, when I am into a story or a chapter, I completely forget the tabs are there. AND JJ... don't worry about it. I'm sure you went down bravely trying to save me
