  1. I don't think it is dirty, but is it really clean or just not dirty enough to be considered dirty? Did that make sense? Anyway, since there are only to options then I'll go with clean. I'll probably use about 15 towels a week if I think that a towel is dirty after one use.
  2. Happy Birthday!
  3. Don's Working It Out. I think I stumbled upon GA after doing a google search for story recs and that was one of the first stories recommended. I remember complaining to him about how the first book ended. hehe
  4. Happy Birthday!
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. Dennis from In the Fishbowl. He's the first bad guy turned good guy I liked, and the "get out of my closet" line always makes me smile.
  7. Happy Birthday Cam!
  8. 5 based on either US presidents or Philippine presidents but you can add 2 if you count the Canadian Prime Ministers. So that would be.. US: Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton, Baby Bush, Obama Philippines: C. Aquino, F.Ramos, J. Estrada, G. Macapagal-Arroyo, B. Aquino + 2 Canadian PMs: Paul Martin and Stephen Harper
  9. Yup! For me it usually depends on what people have already posted. I usually don't like simply saying I agree with this person or that person so if I think that I have nothing more to add to discussion, then I don't post a reply. Another factor would also be if I am not that informed about a topic. I try to read up on the topics I'm not that familiar with before trying to see if I have an opinion on it or not. Also, people here are so darn smart that I just don't understand what they are saying sometimes. I remember reading a thread once where Hylas was talking some other guys about something I thought I knew but then they started using some weird math equation or something. My reaction ->
  10. Is the girl kissing a Bieber look-a-like in a wig or Bieber kissing a guy in a wig?
  11. Chase, no matter how amazing Taylor Lautner's abs are, I'll take Potter over sparkling vampires any day!!
  12. Most poems I've read have been for school. Now that I'm not required to take another classes that involve poetry, I'll read one only if a line catches me.
  13. Slurping and chewing loudly. It drives me absolutely bonkers that every single time the people I live with have any hot liquid, you can hear them slurp from the next room. Some of them are also so noisy when they chew. I can understand it if the food was crispy or something but it usually isn't the case.
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. Happy Birthday, Fishie!! Hope you have a great day tomorrow. We'll even have some sunshine.
  16. Happy Birthday Jasmin!
  17. Welcome to GA! I believe that you need one more post before you can enter chat (since you need 5 and you only have 4) so post away.
  18. I don't really know what my theme song is now, but for the last three or four years it was Demons by Guster. My words confuse you My eyes don't move or blink 'Cause it's easier sometimes Not to be sincere Somehow I make you believe Believe When I speak I cross my fingers Will you know you've been deceived? I find a need to be the demon A demon cannot be hurt Honest is easy Fiction's where genius lies 'Cause it's easier sometimes Not to be involved Somehow I make you believe Believe When I speak I cross my fingers Will you know you've been deceived? I find a need to be the demon A demon cannot be hurt When I speak I cross my fingers Will you know you've been deceived? I find a need to be the demon A demon cannot be hurt
  19. Welcome to GA brosentha21! If you have any questions, just ask. To get you started, ricky, the patron saint of newbies, has a whole bunch of story suggestions that you can to look at.
  20. I think the general consensus here, when it comes to sex in stories, is that if the sex moves the plot forward rather than simply being there for the sake of sex, then it is welcome. I didn't really believe people before when they said that they scroll down stories when a sex scene comes up, but I find myself doing that more and more now. It just gets old really quick. In terms of how fast into bed, I actually like it when an author can drag it just enough so that readers get frustrated but still come back. Of course, when reading a story like that, I will usually tell the author that I want to wring the characters' necks or smack somebody in the head. In the end though, there is a higher probability that I'll read those stories again compared to stories where they have sex, fight, have make-up sex, and live happily ever after (not that there is anything wrong with the latter if done well).
  21. That's "Who Am I?" by Felice Holman Who Am I? The trees ask me, And the sky, And the sea asks me Who am I? The grass asks me, And the sand, And the rocks ask me Who am I? The wind tells me At nightfall, And the rain tells me Someone small. Someone small Someone small But a piece of it all. FELICE HOLMAN Edit: I can't seem to post it with the indentations in the correct place.
  22. Happy Birthday Kevers!!
  23. Most people have already given you the popular ones. Here are some oldies though: Dragonball Z, Samurai X (Ruruoni Kenshin is the Japanese title I think), Slam Dunk (basketball anime), and Captain Tsubasa (soccer/football anime). Some weird ones that I sadly got addicted to are Cooking Master Boy (cooking), Saki (about the tile game mahjong), Yumeiro Patissiere (cooking) A gay/yaoi that is PG-ish is Junjou Romantica. Most of the episodes can be found in youtube. Kyou Kara Maou is a fantasy one that has a slight yaoi feel to it.
  24. Not a big fan of poetry either but here are two that I like. The first one I read because of MikeL's signature while the second one is something my best friend from high school memorized. The More Loving One by W H Auden Looking up at the stars, I know quite well That, for all they care, I can go to hell, But on earth indifference is the least We have to dread from man or beast. How should we like it were stars to burn With a passion for us we could not return? If equal affection cannot be, Let the more loving one be me. Admirer as I think I am Of stars that do not give a damn, I cannot, now I see them, say I missed one terribly all day. Were all stars to disappear or die, I should learn to look at an empty sky And feel its total dark sublime, Though this might take me a little time. and Tonight I write the saddest lines by Pablo Neruda Tonight I can write the saddest lines. Write, for example,'The night is shattered and the blue stars shiver in the distance.' The night wind revolves in the sky and sings. Tonight I can write the saddest lines. I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too. Through nights like this one I held her in my arms I kissed her again and again under the endless sky. She loved me sometimes, and I loved her too. How could one not have loved her great still eyes. Tonight I can write the saddest lines. To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost her. To hear the immense night, still more immense without her. And the verse falls to the soul like dew to the pasture. What does it matter that my love could not keep her. The night is shattered and she is not with me. This is all. In the distance someone is singing. In the distance. My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her. My sight searches for her as though to go to her. My heart looks for her, and she is not with me. The same night whitening the same trees. We, of that time, are no longer the same. I no longer love her, that's certain, but how I loved her. My voice tried to find the wind to touch her hearing. Another's. She will be another's. Like my kisses before. Her voide. Her bright body. Her inifinite eyes. I no longer love her, that's certain, but maybe I love her. Love is so short, forgetting is so long. Because through nights like this one I held her in my arms my sould is not satisfied that it has lost her. Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer and these the last verses that I write for her.
  25. Happy Birthday!
