A collection of poems that question some aspects of the self.

Sean is a troubled young man. Some of the things he does might be considered to be not all that well thought out. At times all his family and friends, particularly his older friend, Johnny (the narrator of these fragments of Sean's life), can do is to be there for him, and help him to pick up the pieces when things go wrong. Even when, sometimes, Sean himself doesn't even seem to want to pick up the pieces.

They had been pulled apart, their mother slowly falling into her mind, when he had been six. But now their mother had died just a month before and her will had asked for them to come together at least one last time to get what she has left behind for them.

They thought they would walk away with a piece of liquidated estate and money for their own lives.

They hadn't expected to find themselves coming back together as siblings.

Prompts for the trip to Buffalo

The Wardens of the Falconer Court are syf, humans who possess an awesome and terrifying power that can alter the shape and substance of the world. They wield it against the erkin, an ancient and inhuman enemy that threatens to overrun the kingdoms of the Teel Continent. They are feared yet bitterly respected, as without their vigil, many empires would have fallen long ago. But underneath the occult prestige of the Wardens lies a dark secret. A wager made long ago, whose consequences are slowly coming to pass. If the forces at work are not stopped before it's too late, reality will be torn asunder.

"What do you want," Tommy asked, looking at the shadow with his eyes, watching it as it paused to a stop in front of him, its large black beak turning slightly to the side.

Its beak opened only a crack, and human screaming of men and women, children and infants, leaked out. Screaming, and sobbing, and maniacal laughing that all filled Tommy's ears with a rotten, disgusting feeling, and replacing the ticking of Toni's clock- loud enough to wake the whole neighborhood, yet only wrecking havoc upon Tommy.

Tommy Fish, a guy with a talent for relentless bullying and hatred, gets help from the devil to bully his favorite kid, indefinitely.
