Spice Rack - 1. Selection

The first of the Spice Rack poems. All errors are mine.

The bar

swirls with dancers,

each hotter than the next;

I want to shout: hey, look my way,

choose me.

You called

me crazy to

fall into your embrace;

yet you were the greater fool to

choose me.

Harder,

deeper inside,

unhinge me, unsense me,

borne on pleasure's pulse because you

chose me.

I am very grateful to AC Benus and Asamvav111 for their thoughts and insights. And I will be grateful to you, too, for any comments you may want to leave.

Wonderful, sensual writing. So much description, imagery packed into so few words. It's what I like about cinquains. :)

Cinquains, like Haiku, require economy. That's the fun part. The frustration is not being able to use a favorite word in the spot you want. I'm this one worked out.
