Poetry posted in this category are works of fiction. Names, places, characters, events, and incidents are created by the authors' imaginations or are used fictitiously. Any resemblances to actual persons (living or dead), organizations, companies, events, or locales are entirely coincidental.

Terpsichore Behind the Mask - 1. Bouree and Spagnoletta

p> I’m grateful to @assamvav and @AC Benus for their help in editing and arranging these. For those who need the caution, these poems are frankly erotic. Errors of any kind are my own.

Bouree

I want him

moving deep inside me;

matching his pleasure to our heartbeats,

whispering his desire, his lust, his urgent need;

his lips and teeth claim me, skin and soul,

while I await the joy

of release.

Spagnoletta

I don’t know

how to ask politely

for what I want from another man,

what etiquette dictates in such circumstances:

do I dress requests in finery,

or should they come garbed in

plain, rough clothes?

Do you crave

that hot sweet connection,

fulfilling our desire’s promises

made so long ago only our bodies know them,

remembered as we piece together,

like puzzles awaiting

completion?

Now touch me,

your fingers trailing down

my chest and belly, heading southward,

while in its upright pride, your manhood points due north

along the track I freely provide,

making me thrill before

your entry.

Do it now,

bend me at right angles

and take from me what I give gladly,

offering you the full measure of my inmost hoard;

for even in freely opening,

I receive your treasure

equally.

Please stroke me,

with warm, certain fingers

circled around my new-straightened shaft;

while with your own you fill me with satisfaction,

probing, exploring, thrust upon thrust,

skin’s friction building till

we ignite.

Let me hear

the sound of your delight

whispered desperately in my ear,

while your movements dance ever closer to that edge

where together joined by our music

we decide as one thought

to fall off.

I am grateful you took time to read Terpsichore. I must also repeat my deep thanks to @AC Benus for his invention and sharing of this poetic form, and for his help in editing and beta reading. I'm also thankful to @asamvav111 for his beta reading, and suggestions. If you have any comments or thoughts to share, I'd be happy to see them. Any sort of response is welcome.

You know I am all for sensual verse, and you have broken new ground, my friend, with this series of poems. You have reached some subtle heights here, with the simple/direct nature of the Bouree being a stand-out in my opinion.

Can't wait to see more!

I’ll hope what follows meets with your approval. Altogether, there are six dances; perhaps when the last one posts, it may be possible to fold the masks and put them away.  Thanks again so much for this form, which allows room for arc and freedom within its structure.

Definitely erotic... and stunning. The act of love is beautiful, and you share the intimacy of it with these. I think we all have those inner thoughts flowing through the act, yet clearly spoken words are seldom needed... our bodies know how to speak with their own language. Such raw and honest writing... well done, my friend. I look forward to more. Cheers!

I like your thought that our bodies speak with their own language; one that needs little translation between those who are well matched. Thanks for your response to this first set of dances.

Well done, good sir! I really enjoyed these little erotic delights. Made me crave a little something that will have to wait until the workday is over!

Thank you for taking time to read these. I’m glad you thought them delightful. They give voice to desires and memories which must wait forever the day we can all unmask.

I love poetry, I love erotic poetry even more. You made a real master piece of the last kind of poetry. I hope to read more of it, as I will publish some of mny own poetry. Because this excellent poem inspired me to do so.

The world needs poets; people who can reconnect us to feelings and senses and experiences. If these poems move you to write and share, then I am more than happy. Thanks so very much for reading and responding to this set.

These are written with your usual skill and ability to bring to life whatever subject matter you choose to write about.  While intensely personal, they also speak universally.  The rawness, passion, and emotion shines through quite clearly.  Thank you for sharing.

Thanks so much for reading these. Some took a lot of reworking; their scratch outs and scribbles are barely legible in my notebook. Yes, they’re very personal, yet if they speak to someone else’s desire or experience, perhaps another poet will be born. Thanks again.

Thanks, @Parker Owens. Reading this at the end of a long and tiring day was a pleasant surprise. It certainly woke me up and got my attention. Like drinking a dozen expressos. I found it powerful and erotic, yet shamelessly inviting. I'm looking forward to more.

I could not help warming to your analogy. I hope each of these was like a concentrated cup of espresso. You’re most welcome, and I’m most grateful for your response.
