The Neverending Book - 17. Compare

Compare

You cannot compare or care about anyone else who is there.
This will only make you unecassarily care.
You will never be the best if you look at the rest.
You cannot follow or swallow or do what they do as you continue.
Or, you will have what they have, too.
Comparison is a crimson poison on your mission.
It will grant you, only, an unloved condition.
If you take it to heart, it will destroy your expidition.
It will grant you and unecassary expectation.
And, will make you move, always, with hesitation.
It will make you move, always with doubt,
Which, as you have learned, for success, must be left out.
