The Neverending Book - 2. The Story Of Glory

The Story of Glory

Their once was a book so perfectly written,
though fierce as a tiger, it was soft as a kitten,
all of it fit like a child's mitten.
Many foolishly unwound most of its words,
to which they have already heard like the chirping of birds.
What they lacked to realize is they could not remake,
Its original meaning is what they did take.
These blind men who saw things as only good & evil,
How this logic is simply, just, purely Medieval.
As they did this they thought themselves, truly, wise.
All this has done is cause people cries.
You may have already seen this through tries,
With your very own intuitive eyes.

Another lovely sonnet. The first thing that jumped out at me was the bible. No idea why, unless that is what you where saying. Again, there is a familiarity to your words, with lots of hidden meaning.

A book whose meaning was lost to the wise,
But not to the meek, nor not to the mild.
One that can bring peace as much as it can,
To enable the lion to sit down with the lamb.
