The Neverending Book - 22. Earth

~Earth~

Good & bad.
Happy & sad.
Up, down, left, and right.
Half Day. Half night.
Half Dark. Half light.
Half Dim. Half bright.
Half wrong. Half right.
This world is curled.
This round ground has rules that are around.
It has laws.
It has flaws.
It is half ugly & half pretty.
Half crying and half laughter.
Before & after.
It is half perfect and half wrong.
You hear this song.
But, you knew it all along.
Everything here in this atmosphere on this sphere,
Is half growing and half dying.
These words do not lie.
They are not lying.
They are alive, somehow. And, so are you.
You know this is true.
Everyone & everything is either getting better or getting worse.
So, are you.
Yep. You, too.
Just like a flame,
Nothing stays the same.
You have night and day,
In order to make today, tomorrow, & yesterday.
But, one day, all, here, will go away.
Where?
Somewhere.
You cannot remember,
Until, you die & fly,
And, go back there...
