Richard Leonard Peterson wanted to fly for as long as he could recall. His father, an Air Force pilot, was the inspiration. When his parents died in a boating accident, Ritch moved to Washington, D.C. to live with his brother and his brother’s fathers. A month before turning eighteen, he becomes a cadet at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. If he can safely navigate the subsequent four years, he will be commissioned as an Air Force Second Lieutenant upon graduation

First Carlos, my condolences on your loss. 90 years is an accomplishment on its own.

Second, well we made it to '21' despite everything thrown at us. Wishing you a healthy and Happy New Year / feliz Año Nuevo.

3rd, yay Richie's back. Oops, my bad, that would be 'Ritch', as he liked to correct everyone.

Well he's off to the Academy. And Wingnut? Let's see what he gets into, (other than skirts), and hopefully doesn't turn out to be a 'douche' like his father, as CJ referred to his step-father

And now, 'Off we go into the wild blue yonder...'

Thank you. It was tough because the pandemic kept us apart at the end.

I still think Ritchie at times, and I've been planning the name change for a couple of years! Obviously, some family members will get used to it faster than others. LOL

There may or may not be a little skirt-chasing in future chapters. :P

Having 2020 in our rear view mirror is a blessing for everyone, especially those of us who suffered a personal loss.

Ritch will always be Ritchie to family (even if not spoken as such out loud!)

As a soon to be 18 year old hetero, I suspect the hunky Cadet will attract a significant amount of beautiful babes...

Wholeheartedly agree, Dave.

Hunky and wealthy! And he's going to be stuck on base most of the time, surrounded mostly by men. He'll have to get his jollies while on leave!

OMG - TMI!!!

Seriously though,  I will add my condolences to you Carlos for your loss!  These are definitely difficult times we live in!!  Take care and be safe my friend, David!

LMAO!

TMI? I don't even write detailed sex scenes any more. Well, maybe a couple of little ones in this story.

Thank you. 2020 was a pain. Dad died and it took forever to get his ashes back because crematoriums are busy. My brothers flew in when we took them to the cemetery, but we did not do anything for fear of putting others at risk. One of my brothers turned 60 a couple of days before Christmas, the other one turns 50 two days from today, we had hoped to all get together over the holidays to celebrate both milestones, but COVID interfered. I can't wait until we regain some sense of normalcy.
