Worthington Manor - 22. Chapter 22

Luke and Justin were watching TV from the sofa in their room when a knock came upon their door.

“It’s open” yelled Justin

In walked Trey.

“Hey what’s up cousin?” asked Luke
“I need to talk to Justin for a second…in private.” said Trey
“Oh-Oh-kay.” said Luke

Luke got up and left and Trey closed the door behind him.

“This is really scary, Trey.” said Justin, sarcastically.

Trey sat down next to Justin on the couch.

“Earlier, when you heard about your mom, I followed Kevin into his room and when I tried to console him, he kissed me. Now, he said that it was because he thought that that’s what I wanted, but that’s not what I wanted and I don’t know how he got that impression.”

Justin was silent. He didn’t exactly know how to react to what was just said to him.

“Are you going to say anything?” asked Trey
“Are you trying to tell me that you think that my brother is gay?” asked Justin
“I don’t exactly know what I’m trying to tell you. I just thought that maybe you could talk to him about it. I mean, he’s your brother.” said Trey
“I’ll talk to him. I just hope he isn’t traumatized.” said Justin
“You hope he’s not traumatized! He’s the one that kissed me.”
“Yeah, but you know you liked it.”
“Well, he is a good kisser.” said Trey
“Ew, okay just leave. I’ll take care of it.” said Justin

After Trey left Justin’s room, Justin made his way over to Kevin’s room. He walked in and Kevin was already asleep, but Justin figured that this was something to wake him up over, so he did. He turned on the light switch. Kevin jumped up with his eyes squinted and his hand covering them.

“What the fuck, Justin!” yelled Luke, drowsed.
“We need to talk.” said Justin.

Kevin looked at his alarm clock.

“It’s three o’clock in the morning.” said Kevin
“Trey came to talk to me just a few minutes ago.” said Justin
“Oh”
“Yeah, oh is right.” said Justin
“Listen, it was just something that I thought he wanted. I as just trying to pay him back for all of the times he was good to me.” said Kevin
“Well, he doesn’t seem to know where you got the idea that he wanted you to kiss him, because he didn’t.” said Justin
“Well, I thought that he did.” said Kevin
“Kevin, if there’s something that you want to tell me, you can tell me.” said Justin
“There’s nothing that I want to tell you, right now. All I want to do right now is sleep. So, can you turn off the light and leave.” said Kevin
“Okay, but you’re talking to me tomorrow. Whether you like it or not.” said Justin

Justin turned off the light, and shut the door. He heard commotion downstairs, coming from the kitchen, so he went to check it out. It was Trey and Luke, having coffee. Without saying anything, he went into the kitchen, grabbed a coffee cup and stuck it out for Trey to pour him some.

“How did it go?” asked Trey
“How did what go?” asked Luke
“It didn’t go well.” said Justin
“What didn’t go well.” asked Luke
“Why not?” asked Trey
“Will someone please tell me what’s going on?’ asked Luke
“He didn’t want to talk. All he wanted to do was sleep.” said Justin
“Babe!” yelled Luke
“What is it Luke?” asked Justin
“I just want to know what’s going on.” said Luke
“No you don’t; trust me.” said Justin.
“But…”
“Can we just go to bed?” asked Justin
“Okay, let’s go if that’s what you want.” said Luke

The next morning, Justin woke up, along with Luke, to Kevin sitting on the couch in their room.

“Um, good morning Kevin.” said Luke
“I need to talk to my brother, Luke; privately.” said Kevin
“Okay, I’m just going to take a shower.” said Luke

Luke got out of bed, grabbed some clothes from his drawers and slipped into the bathroom, but not before giving his honey a morning kiss. As soon as Justin heard the shower turn on, he got out of bed and sat next to Kevin.

“You know, you’re taking my shower time away from Luke.” said Justin
“What?” asked Kevin
“I take my showers with Luke.” said Justin
“This is ridiculous, you guys are fifteen and you have sex like bunnies.” said Kevin
“Hey, let’s just focus on what you wanted to talk to me about.” said Justin
“I don’t know exactly how to put this, Justin.” said Kevin
“Just say it.” said Justin
“It’s not that easy.” said Kevin
“The kiss, between you and Trey; what happened?”
“I kissed him; not because I thought he wanted me to, but because I wanted to.”

Justin just sat there looking into Kevin’s eyes for a while.

“I don’t know what’s happening, Justin. I’ve never had these feelings for another guy before.” said Kevin
“Do you know why you have them?” asked Justin
“I think it may be that no one has ever acted towards me the way that Trey does.” said Kevin
“What do you mean?” asked Justin
“He just accepts me the way that I am. He doesn’t question me. He just let’s me be who I am and doesn’t judge me for it. The way he talked to me after you told me about mom, he was just so comforting. He hardly said anything, you know. I think it might have been just his presence that was comforting. Do you know what I’m talking about?”
“Yeah, that’s how Luke makes me feel.” said Justin
“I don’t love him! D-Don’t mistake this for that.” said Kevin
“Kev, I hate to break this to you, but that kind of what this is.” said Justin

Kevin looked away in confusion. Justin put his hand on Kevin’s which was on his leg.

“It’s nothing to be ashamed of Kevin.” said Justin. “It’s just who you are.”
“No, this is NOT who I am. I refuse to believe that. You’re the gay one in the family, not me.” said Kevin
“There can be more than one gay person in a family Kevin.” said Justin. “I saw this family on television where all of the kids were gay, and there were five of them.”
“I don’t know what to do Justin.”

Kevin started to tear up and he leaned on Justin as he cried. Justin patted his back. Luke came out of the bathroom with his clothes on and his hair slightly wet and all messed around.

“I need to go.” said Kevin and he left.

Justin let out a sigh, put his head forward and started to rub his neck.

“I’m sorry if he left because of me.” said Luke
“No, it’s not your fault.” said Justin
“What’s going on with him?” asked Luke
“I think my brother may be on our side of the rainbow.” said Justin. “Or at least halfway to our side.”
“Didn’t see that coming.”

It was night time in Julia’s hospital room. It was silent except for the beeping of her machines. There was no one around. A few nurses at the nurse’s station and some doctors making their rounds. All of a sudden her beeping became a tad faster. Her eyes opened very rapidly. Her eyes surveyed the room, but her body didn’t move. Her body couldn’t move. It was as if she was paralyzed. She was telling her body to move, but it wouldn’t.

It was also the middle of the night it Colorado. Justin had gotten out of bed to get some water. When he walked passed Kevin’s room he heard sniffling. He opened the door slowly. From the moonlight coming in through the window, he could see Kevin, sitting on his couch, crying.

“Kev, what’s wrong?” asked Justin

Kevin sniffled and wiped his tears away.

“Nothing, nothing’s wrong.” said Kevin.
“Kevin, I saw you crying. Just because you wipe your tears away and try to hid doesn’t mean what I saw goes away.” said Justin

Justin walked into the room, leaving the door open. He walked over to the couch and sat next to Kevin.

“Tell me what’s wrong. Is it your confusion again?” asked Justin
“No, and thinking about what I’m crying about, just makes me cry even more, but for a different reason.” said Kevin
“I don’t get it.” said Justin
“I’m crying because Trey pushed me away and I don’t know what to do. I like him a lot and he doesn’t like me and it’s killing me. Then, when I think about the fact that I’m crying over a guy, it makes me cry because I should be cry for what you said. I should be crying because I’ve never had these feelings before and they should be bothering me, but for some reason they don’t.”
“Kevin, you don’t need to be crying at all.” said Justin. “Trey likes you.”
“Then why would he push me away.” said Kevin
“Because he was under the impression that you were straight.” said Justin

Kevin looked at him with a sad but with a little relief type of face.

“Listen, why don’t Luke and I go out tomorrow morning and leave you and Trey here to talk things through.” said Justin
“I don’t Justin. I wouldn’t even know what to say.” said Kevin
“Tell him how you feel.” said Justin.
“Just think about it and let me know tomorrow morning.” said Justin.

Justin got up and headed back to his room. The next morning, after his shower with Luke, he got dressed and headed for Kevin’s room. When he walked in, Kevin was just walking out of the shower himself.

“So, did you make a decision?” asked Justin
“I don’t know.” said Kevin
“Come on, it’s just for a few hours.” said Justin
“Okay, but you guys have to promise that you’ll stay away.” said Kevin
“We promise.” said Justin.

Justin went over to Luke to tell him about his and Kevin’s deal. Then, they went to Trey to tell him that they were going to go out for a few hours.

“No, please don’t leave me alone with him. You have no idea how awkward that’ll be.” said Trey
“It’s just to give you two some time to talk things out.” said Justin
“Please, Trey.” said Luke
“The things I do…okay.” said Trey
“Great, so we’ll be right back.” said Luke

About ten minutes after they left, Kevin walked down the stairs to find Trey on the laptop, reading the news most likely. That was maybe part of the reason that Kevin liked Trey. Trey was different. He’d rather read his news than watch it like most kids their age. He stared at Trey for a while. Watched the way he sporadically took light sips of his coffee as he read the day’s headlines.
He still had a few stairs to go, so he took them and then made his way to the coffee cup cupboard. He got out a cup and then served himself some coffee. Trey noticed him as soon as he walked into the kitchen, but said nothing to him. Trey was equally as enthralled with Kevin and Kevin was with him. He watched as Kevin’s polo shirt lifted and showed a bit of his flat stomach as he reached for a coffee cup. Kevin walked to the table, the same one that Trey was sitting at with the laptop and sat to his left. Trey got a glimpse of the top of Kevin’s shirt, the two buttons weren’t buttoned.

“Oh, sorry.” said Kevin as he buttoned them.
“For what?” asked Trey
“I don’t know.” said Kevin
“Did you sleep well?” asked Trey
“No, not so well.” said Kevin
“Why not?” asked Trey
“Because I knew that I was going to be alone with you today and I was trying to figure out what it was I was going to say to you.” said Kevin.
“You knew that those two were going to leave us here?” asked Trey
“Yeah”
“Well, is there something you would like to say to me?” asked Trey

Kevin’s heart began to race. He didn’t know what to say. Should he just come out and say it? Should he just say ‘Trey, I love you’, or should he maybe not say anything, or maybe make something up? He was very indecisive. He was also very much distracted by how attractive Trey was to him. It wasn’t so much that he was the most attractive person that he had ever seen that was distracting him. It was more that he had never been attracted to a guy before that was distracting him.

“I guess not.” said Trey
“I’m, I’m sorry. I got distracted.” said Kevin
“By what?”

For a moment, Kevin thought about telling Trey what was distracting him so much, but then he decided on the contrary.

“Nothing,” said Kevin, “Listen; when I kissed you the other night, I had no idea what I was doing.”
“I understand. It was a mistake.” said Trey
“No, you see, it wasn’t a mistake. I wanted to kiss you and I did.” said Kevin

Trey looked deep into Kevin’s eyes and drew the conclusion that he was telling the truth. Trey was hit by this truth pretty hard. Although he did fantasize about Kevin, he never expected any of those fantasies to be fulfilled. He was truly cut off guard when Kevin told him this. He had never been more surprised in his life.

“Um, are you saying…?”
“I’m saying that I am…extremely…attracted to you.” said Kevin.
Trey took a big gulp and Kevin watched as his Adam’s apple went up and then down in his throat. Was this a good reaction or a bad one? He hoped it was a good one.

“I don’t know why or how? I just know that I am. I’ve never ever been attracted to a guy before, but somehow, you got through to me.” said Kevin
“I don’t know what to say?”
“You know, I understand that you’re not into me like that. I just wanted to get my feelings out in the open.” said Kevin
“I never said that I wasn’t into you.” said Trey
“But you pushed me away when I kissed you.”
“Well, because I thought that you were straight and making a big mistake.” said Trey
“Ha, that’s what Justin said.” said Kevin
“He did?”
“Yeah”
“I never said anything like that to him.” said Trey
“One thing you have to know about my brother is that he knows people. He knows how they feel even if they don’t exactly know yet. He’s very gifted that way.” said Kevin
“Wow”
“So, you are into me.” said Kevin
“I am very much into you. Ever since the first day I saw you.” said Trey

Kevin scooted his chair closer to Trey who had, by now, shut the laptop. Kevin put his hand over Trey’s and Trey let out a heavy breath and shut his eyes. Kevin’s touch sent tingles throughout his body; something that he had never had the pleasure of experiencing. It was also something that Kevin had thought that he had experienced before, but then realized that this was more real than anything he had ever experienced before. Kevin closed his hand, putting Trey’s into his, got up, and bringing Kevin up with him. He then led Trey to the couch.
They sat, then immediately, sensually locked lips. Trey started to unbutton Kevin’s polo, and then Kevin took off Trey’s t-shirt, right before lifting off his. Kevin pushed Trey down on the couch. Their breathing was heavy; their heart beats, racing. Kevin got on top of Trey, pecking at his lips, and then down to his chest and then to his beautiful stomach. He then moved on to the trail of tiny hairs that led him to his desired destination. He unbuttoned Trey’s pants with his teeth.

“Wait!” said Trey

Kevin lifted his head

“What?” asked Kevin
“Are you sure about this? You’re not fucking with me are you?”
“Well maybe not…with…you.” said Kevin
“This is not a joke.”
“No, I want to do this, more than anything.” said Kevin

Kevin started once more.
“Wait!” said Trey

Kevin lifted up his head once more.

“Now what?”
“Do you have a condom?” asked Trey

Kevin got out his wallet, opened it, and took out a condom.

“Okay, let’s do it.” said Trey

* * *

“So what do you think they’re doing right now?” asked Luke
“Probably jumping each other’s bones.” said Justin
“Ew, a picture that I did not want in my mind.” said Luke
“Come on, I doubt that they’re going to do anything yet.” said Justin
“You’re right. I hope that they work it out though.” said Luke
“Yeah, me too.” said Justin.

* * *

“That was amazing.” said Trey

Kevin didn’t say anything. He just snuggled into Trey’s arms and closed his eyes.

“Are you okay?” asked Trey
“I…I don’t know what to say. It went beyond what my expectations were of it.” said Kevin
“Well, that’s a good thing.”

Trey kissed the top of Kevin’s head. Kevin smiled and rubbed the side of his face into Trey’s chest. Without the intention of falling asleep, they did. It wasn’t even the afternoon yet, but the sex took a lot out of them.

“She’s delusional.” said the doctor.
“How?” asked Craig
“She believes that she can’t move her body. She keeps on asking why she can’t move, but as she’s asking; her arms are waving up in the air. I’m afraid that she might never come out of this state.” said the doctor.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, there is a chance that she might come out of it, but it’s a very slim one. We might have to send her River-Brook.” said the doctor.
“What’s that?” asked Craig
“It’s the psychiatric care hospital in Kenton, just a few towns over.” said the doctor. “But I’m afraid we need the permission of her husband, on paper, to send her there.”
“Well, he’s out on business and there no possible way for him to come back.” said Craig
“We can wait until he comes back.”
“It might not be for a while. He said he would be gone for months.” said Craig
“Well we can certainly wait until he get’s back.” said the doctor.

Craig to the bus back home from the hospital. He had Laura watching Ashley and David. He didn’t want them to be there for the diagnosis, just in case it was bad, and it was. He walked through the door; Ashley heard this and came running to him.

“How’s mom, Craig? How is she?”

Craig bent down to her level.

“Love, ya mum’s a bit out of sorts right now. Her mind isn’t what it used to be.”
“What does that mean? Is mommy crazy?” asked Ashley
“No, love, mummy just is a bit confused right now.” said Craig
“So can we see her?” asked Ashley
“I think it might be best to wait until Mark comes home to go round to visit mummy.” said Craig

Craig figured that at the psychiatric hospital they would have her medicated better and her symptoms might not seem so extreme when Ashley visits.

“Okay, but when are Justin and Kevin coming back? Aren’t they worried about mom too?” asked Ashley
“Of course they are. They’re just in a bit of a knot. They can’t come home because they’re plane tickets aren’t valid until Sunday.” said Craig
“But, it’s Friday, so they’ll be home soon, right?”
“Yeah, they’ll be home in a bit.” said Craig

Ashley left to her room, and Laura came into the front room from the kitchen.

“You were really good with her.” said Laura
“I dunno, I’m just trying not to ruin those little one’s lives.” said Craig
“How would you do that?” asked Laura
“I don’t wanna be the one to tell them their mother has gone mental.” said Craig
“What? What happened to her?” asked Laura
“She’s gone mental. They want to send her to a psychiatric hospital.”
“Oh my God; what happened to her that she’s like this?”
“I dunno, we just found her in a manic state.” said Craig
“Well, if you’d like me to leave, I’ll go.”
“No, that’s not what I want. I dunno what I want these days. It’s all a big blur.”
“You want me to stay?” asked Laura
“Would ya?” asked Craig
“Yeah”
“Cheers mate,” said Craig

Justin and Luke walked back into the house, back from their breakfast that they decided to have while they were gone. They looked around for Trey and Kevin, but didn’t call their names. Then, Luke spotted them on the couch, naked and sleeping. He quietly called Justin over to see what he saw.

“Aw, they worked it out.” whispered Justin
“Yeah, let’s leave them.” whispered Luke
“Yeah”

Justin and Luke quietly headed for their room, to have some…alone time. Meanwhile, Kevin and Trey were waking up from their sleep. They looked around to make sure that Justin or Luke weren’t there. They knew that if they saw them there, they would make a big fuss over a probably one time thing. They scrambled to put on their clothes. Kevin just got his underwear on and Trey managed to get his pants on before Justin came downstairs.

“Oh, great you guys are up!”
“Um, listen, Justin…” said Trey
“It’s okay, we all fall asleep sometimes. It’s no big deal. Next time, though, try and do it on a bed, people have to sit on that couch you know.” said Justin
“Um…” said Kevin
“Is there something wrong?” asked Justin
“You’re okay with this?” asked Trey
“Yeah, why wouldn’t I be? The whole reason for Luke and I leaving was for you two to get closer. Granted, we never thought that you’d get that far, but all the same; mission accomplished.” said Justin

The two of them finished getting dressed and then headed to their separate rooms. Justin looked up at the two of them as they went up stair, one behind the other. He was confused. Hadn’t the two of them hit it off? Justin went to his room to get Luke

“Hey, I think you should go talk to Trey. I’m going to go talk to Kevin.” said Justin
“Why; what happened?” asked Luke
“I don’t know. They seemed really distant. So I just thought they would need to talk.” said Justin
“Okay, I’ll take your word on that and go talk to him.” said Luke

* * *

“So what’s happened?” asked Luke
“I don’t know, its complicated.” said Trey
“You guys had sex. It can’t get any less complicated.”
“Oh you really don’t have the experience to back that up, Luke.” said Trey
“Trust me, I have plenty of experience in the sex department.” said Luke
“Yeah, with one guy.” said Trey
“Just tell me what’s going on.” said Luke
“Well, after you left, it took a while for him to come down and even speak to me.” said Trey. “But, when he did, it was like a profession of love.”
“So, what’s wrong with that?”
“I’m not sure if I want to be in a relationship with someone who claims to have never been attracted to guys before.” said Trey
“Why not?”
“Because, what’s to keep him from leaving me when the next pretty girl comes along. And if it is just a claim of non-homosexuality and he is in denial, I can’t deal with that either. I need to be with someone who is sure of who they are.” said
“You’re not even going to Kevin a chance?” asked Luke
“I don’t know”

Luke could see in Trey’s face that he really liked Kevin, but was conflicted by his principles. Trey’s sad face worried Luke. What if they did go on with a relationship and Kevin did leave Trey? He could tell that Trey would be devastated should something like that happen. Trey deserved more stability than Kevin was ready to give him.

“Hey Kev, wanna talk?” asked Justin
“No, get out of my room.” said Kevin
“Come on, let’s talk.” said Justin
“Why did you ask if you just were going to force me to talk anyways?” asked Kevin
“I don’t know, maybe I wanted to think that you had a choice when you really don’t.” said Justin as he entered the room.
“Some brother you are.” said Kevin
“Come on, tell me what happened.” said Justin
“Well, we had sex.” said Kevin
“I know that part.” said Justin
“What do you want from me!”
“I just want you to open up.”
“This isn’t easy for me, Justin.”
“Well, it doesn’t get any easier until you get used to talking about it.” said Justin.
“Stop talking like you know what I’m going through. You don’t know what I’m going through.” said Kevin
“Is that a joke? You know that I know exactly what you’re going through.” said Justin
“You’re right, I’m sorry.” said Kevin
“Just tell me what’s going through your mind.”
“I know that what I feel is the wrong feeling for me, but when I was with him, it felt more right than anything in my life.”
“What do you mean that it’s the wrong feeling for you?”
“I mean, I don’t want to be gay. I’m not even sure if I am gay. I still like girls. I like them a lot, but this thing with Trey is just…I don’t know what it is.” said Kevin
“Kevin now is not the time for denial.”
“I’m not denying anything. I’m telling you the truth. The only guy that I’ve ever had those feelings for in my life is Trey. I can honestly say that I’ve never, ever been attracted to guys.”
“Except for Trey”
“Except for Trey” said Kevin
“This is weird.” said Justin.
“You’re telling me?”

* * *

“So when are Kevin and Justin coming back?” asked Laura
“On Sunday” said Craig
“Why couldn’t they come sooner?”
“They wanted to, but because their flight isn’t booked until Sunday there were no way.” said Craig
“That sucks.”
“Yeah, I bet they’re having a right horrible time worryin’ about their mum.” said Craig
“I just hope that everything turns out okay.” said Laura.
“I just want Mark to come back. I dunno if I can handle these wee ones on my own.” said Craig
“You’re great with the kids. You can definitely handle them until Sunday.” said Linda
“Cheers mate, I really appreciate that.” said
“No, problem; listen, I’d better go or my mom’ll have cow.” said Linda
“Okay, see ya later.” said Craig.

As Craig shut the door behind Linda he smiled. But then he hoped that she wasn’t getting to close to him. He didn’t want to lead her on or anything. She knew that he was gay, but he didn’t want them getting close to give her mixed signals or something. He waked to the kitchen and made some tea. It always helped him think through situations that were usually hard for him.
He sat, sipping at his tea. He heard the echo of two separate televisions blasting cartoon shows. He smiled at this sound. He had become really attached to Ashley and David through having to take care of them. He never thought of himself as the nurturing type, but these two have gown own him as if they were own brother and sister.
But what would he do about Linda? Of course he could just be exaggerating and she might not get closer to him than he’d like. He felt like a milkshake, so he took the kids to Mikey’s. There, he ran into Linda and Jessica. As soon as Linda saw Craig, she ran to say hi. Jessica ran after her.

“Hey, Craig” cheered Linda
“Ay, Linda, y’alright?”
“So, how are these two kids doing?” she asked looking at Ashley and David.
“Linda, why are you talking to this asshole?” asked Jessica, angrily.

Craig knew that Jessica had been mad at him for letting her go upstairs to catch Luke and Justin, so he wasn’t really offended by what she said.

“Hey, don’t call him that, especially in front of these kids.”
“I don’t give a damn about those kids. This jerk sabotaged mine and Luke’s relationship!”
“Oh wake up Jess! Luke sabotaged your relationship!”
“What kind of a friend are you to say some bull shit like that!” screamed Jessica
“It’s not shit. That asshole boyfriend of yours jumped into bed with Justin and I’m talking shit, I don’t think so.”
“Aw, pack it in. You two are supposed to be mates.”
“Shut up you!” yelled Jessica
“Oy! Fallin’ out isn’t gonna solve anythin’.”
“What the fuck does that mean?”
“I mean, bein’ bitter is not gonna sooth your achin’ heart. You need to face what happened and get passed it. Also, know that this had nothin’ to do with you. Luke has always been gay and you didn’t turn him that way.” said Craig

Jessica broke down into tears. Craig told Ashley and David to go get them a booth and they left.

“I just feel so ugly.” Jessica sobbed. “Was I not good enough? I mean, we hadn’t even had sex yet.”
“You mean Luke lost his virginity to Justin?” asked Linda
Jessica began to sob harder, “Yes”
“I’m sorry, Jessica. I didn’t mean to ask that. Sometimes my mouth just goes off without me knowing it.”
“Its okay.” said Jessica coming out of her sobs. “I’m sorry that I yelled at you; you two Craig.”
“I understand.” said Linda
“It’s nothin’.” said Craig. “I’m gonna go and rejoin those two wee ones.”

When Craig went back to Ashley and David, the questions started.

“What was she saying about Justin?” asked Ashley
“Yeah, what was she saying about my nig brother?” asked David.
“Well, your brother hurt Jessica’s feelin’s really bad.” said Craig
“What did he do?” asked Ashley
“I reckon it’s better for Justin to talk to you ‘bout that.” said Craig

As they started their drive from the airport, Trey drove and Kevin sat in the front with him, awkwardly silent. They arrived home just in time for lunch. Trey had every intention on just dropping off Kevin, Justin and Luke at Justin and Kevin’s house, but Justin insisted that he stay for lunch.
They walked through the door and Ashley and David ran into Justin’s arms. Kevin didn’t really mind them not being as excited to see him. He never liked having them around. Actually, he was often annoyed when they were around. He loved them and, but he mostly liked to keep to himself.

“Are you going to take us to see mommy?” Ashley asked Justin.

Justin looked up at Craig.

“You haven’t taken then to see my mother yet?” asked Justin
“No, I thought it might be better for them to go round with you.” said Craig
“Oh, okay.”

Justin seemed to be passed what Craig had done. How could he hold anything against him when he took care of Ashley and David so well?

“I missed you so much, Justin.” said David.
“I missed you too kid.” said Justin shuffling David’s hair.

Justin went back to the kitchen where Luke and Trey were. David followed him, but he didn’t know. Justin went straight to Luke and kissed him.

“When are you going to see your mom?” asked Luke
“Where you two kissing?” asked David

Shocked to see David, Justin almost lied. But he knew that he could no longer lie to David. He’d seen them.

“Hey kid, when did you come in?”
“Why were you kissing a boy?”
“Because I love him” said Justin
“You love a boy?” asked David, puzzled.
“Yes, I do. I know that that sounds confusing, but you’ll understand when you get older.” said Justin.

David didn’t think much of it and left the room.

“Whoa” said Luke
“Yeah” said Justin
“So, what about your mom?” asked Luke
“I figured we’d go after lunch.” said Justin
“Oh, okay.” said Luke
“We can give you a ride.” said Trey
“I would like you to come in with me, Luke.” said Justin
“Really?”
“Yeah, you’re my boyfriend. I need you there.”
“What about Kevin, he’ll be there.” said Luke
“That’s not the same.”

Kevin walked in.

“Hey, we were just talking about going to see mom after lunch.” said Justin.
“That’s sounds good.” said Kevin
“Trey said that he would give us a ride.” said Justin
“Oh, there’s no need. I have my license and mom’s car is still here.” said Kevin
“Why would we want to take mom’s car? Please Kevin.”

Kevin didn’t want to spend any more time with Trey than he absolutely had to. It was just way too awkward. But, Justin was persistent and Kevin gave in.
