Cider Press - 9. Predator

Hunting happens everywhere...this one is full of heat, so be warned.

Predator

I crouch, a hungry feral beast,
before me lies a scrumptious feast,
for you are splayed upon the bed,
so fair, my breath has almost ceased.

I pounce upon you to be fed,
it's for your flesh my lips were bred
and for your most exquisite taste,
my tongue between your hills is led.

I cannot dine at all in haste,
to hurry so would be a waste
of your involuntary groan
with which your room is loudly graced.

Your pleasure is the best I've known;
it will my every sin atone
until my fullness is released,
and I upon your body prone.

Comments or reflections are valued and appreciated. Thanks for anything you might want to say.

Interesting how feral beasts prefer to feast upon those mounds of tenderest flesh ... I do hope the savage was soothed by the sweet moans of its victim.

*fans self*  I think I need a cold shower now... this belongs in your spice rack with the ghost peppers, Chef.  ;)  Predator, indeed.  Is it wrong that I want to let out a loud growl right now?  :gikkle:

I think things were much quieter afterwards. And yes, it is interesting, isn’t it? Thanks for reading!

Not in the Spice Rack because it’s not a cinquain. But you can tell it was written around the same time...Go ahead and growl! Thanks for reading!

good grief Parker!  you are applying heat .. nice job xo

It is kind of hot, I admit it. Perhaps it is the poetic version of heat therapy. I’m glad you thought it was good. :) Thank you for  reading these, hot or cool.

Oy! *rushes off to let the cold air in*

You do have a winsome way with words.

Hope the cool air brought the temperature down a notch. Have to watch out for that spiced cider...thank you for reading!

Dayum Parker! Intelligent, beautiful with words, and an animalistic and hungry predator. That’s certainly the whole package. Very, very sexy poem.

And while you may not see it, I’m blushing, too. But that’s because of your very kind words. I know it was kind of heated, but somehow it felt right.  Thank you for commenting on this.

Anything to stave off the December chills, perhaps. And come to think of it, it has been unseasonably warm... thank you for reading and commenting.

Quite apart from echoing what everyone else has said, I love the way that the first 3 stanzas start with 'I', the 4th 'Your' as the emphasis shifts from the predator to the prey .... Wonderful, so sensual.

Thank you for picking up on that detail. For that reason, the whole mood and color of the last stanza changes, and with it, the tenor of the poem...at least that was the idea. I am so glad you liked this.
