There are many reasons that people might look forward to Friday, but here at the GA News Blog, we look forward to Friday because it means one thing.... New Prompts!!! Sometimes we get stuck and need a little push to help us get writing again, that's what the prompts are all about, to help get the juices flowing. As always, Comicfan has provided two new prompts for you to take a stab at. Hopefully one of these will inspire you to write a little something!

Prompt 416 – Creative
Tag – The bombshell
Things have been going wrong all day, but nothing could have prepared you for the phone call you just got. What was the news that was delivered?

Prompt 417 – Creative
Tag – First Line
“But why would you want me to meet you there?”

We only had two responses from last weeks prompt. Both were to prompt 414:

From John AR:

“Come on, skunk,” Leo teased, propelling himself into the air, twisting his body with the elegancy of a springboard diver and the ferociousness of an angry wolf, so his feet landed on Seb’s six pack, pushing him against the wall in the makeshift gym.

Only Seb’s eyes could express the surprise about the strength of the impact; he had no breath to utter a word or time to move his limbs.

When Leo realized his opening move already had such a devastating effect on his friend, he aborted his follow-up move and took some lazy steps back. “You’ve been a very bad boy, I’ve been told,” Leo chided the red-haired wolf like a mother would a five-year-old who hadn’t cleaned up his room. “And you should know by now we only have good boys in this pack.” Leo’s smirk betrayed his amusement about the many ways ‘good boys’ could be understood.

From Atruefan:

It was Friday night, nights that typically had been my favorite, until tonight. I got off work and started heading home, I was supposed to meet my boyfriend, Shawn, for dinner and then go to see a show. Shawn had acquired some theater tickets somewhere, I knew better than to ask where.

I was walking home and decided to cut through the park. My house and office were on opposite sides of this park that was actually quite large. In the center of the park was a rather large forested area, full of trees. As I was entering the little forest I got a feeling, one that I could only describe as one of dread.

I made my way through the forest, my mind playing tricks on me with every shadow, every noise I heard for some reason irrationally made me think of something sinister. I heard a noise just off to my left and as I turned the shadows made it look like some sort of demon, I opened my mouth and all that escaped was a silent scream.
