Circumnavigation

C James

Trevor, through little fault of his own, finds himself with few choices. Desperate and hunted, he decides that his best chance is to head out to sea on his boat, for a circumnavigation of the Earth. His boat, Atlantis, is a fifty-five foot cruising catamaran, bequeathed to him by his mother prior to her mysterious disappearance. Come along for the ride and explore with Trevor, as he discovers many things, not the least of which is himself.

You might have to set a couple of days aside. ;)

I think it took me a week to binge read that sucker! I don't recall much from that time period in my life... :o

I don't think I was retired when I read it, so it might have been weeks for me. :)

The segment between the Suez canal and Australia kept me up all night. I know I skipped parts to read ahead because the tension was too much. I swore I'd go back and read those chapters again at a slower pace but I've never had the guts.

Great job Steve. A lot to keep up with.

Circumnavigation, I think that took a month. Didn’t want to stop reading, but a lot going on at that time. I keep saying I’ll read again. However; I keep adding way too many others. Great story though.

That was gut wrenching. I kept walking away to steel myself and then go back. This was over the summer when I was still in lurk mode. That story wrung me the heck out. But it was all good!

It took me about 3 1/2 years :P Can't remember how long it took to publish it, but @C James did an amazing job of giving us a chapter every week, even when he was on holidays ironically on a boat going across the Atlantic , twice!! The torture of all the cliffhangers when you couldn't read the next chapter as one ended, was even more excruciating than any other story that he has written.

Funny thing is you wanted more on the good chapters, as well as the tense filled ones.

Circumnavigation was epic but I wonder how all the pictures in the chapters work after the update. :o  They were a major part of the story and made it easier to visualize the journey. My favorite part was

Spoiler

the hurricane and how they dealt with the danger to the boat and their lives.
