Weekly Wrap Up (Jul. 19 - Jul. 25)

Howdy ho everyone!

My apologies, went to bed last night totally forgetting to do the Wrap Up 😮 I hope Myr doesn't fire me or deduct my pay :(.

Due to this and an early breakfast with friends, I'm going to have to make this a short one.

I do have a question though... I'm kind of stuck in my teen years or when you first got a job in your twenties, I like to stay up really late on weekends. Now I know as you get older, not me of course :P, insomnia becomes an issue but if you are not dealing with that, do you stay up considerably later on a night that you don't work the next day? Usually I can be found lurking till like 2 AM on Friday and Saturday nights, or should I say Saturday and Sunday mornings! Not for any particular reason, just I do it.

So are you a night owl by nature but other things like work, kids, or other adulting things make you go to bed early and then you take one or two nights a week to stay up late?

One other thing I will mention, Cia is doing okay, just very occupied at the moment. I want to pass on that the Secret Author contest hasn't been forgotten and that when the time is right, you all will get to dive in  . Stay tuned!!! Sometimes real life sucks :( If anything, this contest is a tricky one, as it is a secret with one person only know the stories and authors. No matter how much I usually try to bribe Cia, she reveals nothing :gikkle:.

Now what happened on this blistering hot and smokey week? Unfortunately with Cia out, it was an abbreviated week.

Tuesday, Myr kicked things off by doing a deep dive. I heard he was so motivated by the skinny dipping conversation last week, he went diving nakid 😮:

Thursday, the poor penguin, who must be sweating her ... wings off  in the heat, came in with a reminder that the SA is coming and took a look back at last years:

Myr had some more Words of the Day. How many did you check out?

instinct, awareness, doubt, conviction, awakening, momentum, intention

Hey, let's do something different. Looking at the words of the past week, let's pretend you are about to write a story or you have written one :P Using the above 7 words, give us a one paragraph introduction or synopsis of your story. Post it in the comments below :P I know with the word conviction, I could write a story of the weekend escapades of Val and Krista :gikkle: . To clarify, not about their dedication to having fun but their court appearance after 0:).

I've always been a late night person, even when working on the farm during the summer.  We always took a longer break for dinner, which was usually one of the hottest times during the day, so I'd take a quick nap before eating and before we did the evening chores.  I had to adjust how late I could stay up when I was working, but now that I'm retired, there's no limits to how late I stay up.  Sometimes I don't go to sleep until 7:00 to 9:00 in the morning.

I'm glad to hear that Cia's still hanging in there and I hope the situation is improving for her.  She deserves a break about now.

Having spent the better part of thirty years waking at 4 am for work and being retired now, the latest I've been able to sleep is about 5 am. If I push it, I might be able to stay up to 10:30 pm some nights, but then breaking the mantra that nothing good happens after 9 pm has been difficult to do...

I guess you haven't seen many balls drop on New Year's Eve then.

Ahem...cough...cough...nudge..nudge, I've seen many balls drop mostly as a result of me...say no more...wink...wink...Hey, sometimes walking into a festive room, with all those things hanging from the ceiling, what can I say? And that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!!
