Bender 5 Posted November 6, 2005 I agree, girls do have coodies. Which is hypocritical, because right now I'm currently dating a girl (complete with coodies). But, I prefer the men. Or boys, occasionally.
Bardeara 132 Posted November 6, 2005 ROTFLMAO!!!! Sorry Dom I don't know why I found that so funny as I do, but I did. I'm kind of glad your going to... er... help out that cat. I'm know one of my friends all pets are compelled to. Animals can feel the good in people and choose people like we choose friends. It is strange, but for some reason in my history of life I have noticed that every pet that enters my life, it is to help with something else that at the time I am unaware of. So I am certain that cat will help you out as you are helping it out now. On a side note... maybe you could just give her that cold anyway, then you can help your fans out and be able to write about it. Sorry couldn't reist
Guest Kitty Posted November 6, 2005 She was probably undressing you with her eyes, too . At least she didn't throw you across the conveyor belt and have her way with you right in front of the other customers. Maybe she found your cracky voice sexy. Kitty
Lucy Kemnitzer 0 Posted November 6, 2005 Isn't "violated" too strong a word? It's sort of disturbing, I know -- but at least you've got your orientations lined up. When I was (oh dog, stop me from saying this) your age, it was guys who disturbed me when they hit on me -- though that was my orientation. When women hit on me it was not disturbing, just irrelevant. Now that I think of it, that was probably why. I was more relaxed around women because they weren't in the category I had to react to. Or something. Once I had a baby and got fat and the only men who flirted with me were clearly just being friendly to cheer up the matron, I didn't mind that. I was a very neurotic young woman. We visited the new county animal shelter today (long long story involving miscreance and embezzling at the SPCA and a county takeover). I don't know why. The nice fellow says he was just curious but speaking of flirting, he sure was saying sweet things to those dogs and cats. I hope he doesn't bring home a puppy someday, or a kitten -- my life will be in ruins. (maybe an old dog . . . not too old, it would have to contend with Truffle).
libbonobo 1 Posted November 6, 2005 Hehehe. Do people actually know what cooties are? Cooties are body lice (http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/cooties). Nothing a permethrin treatment couldn't fix. I confess to not knowing that until about 9th grade. Up to that point, I thought "cooties" was a deliberate mispronunciation of "cuties". Of course, then the appropriate usage would be that girls *are* cooties, not that girls *have* cooties; or, if you're gay, that MEN are cooties. Men such as this fellow: http://modelsmore.50webs.com/g4/maxiraoul011.JPG http://modelsmore.50webs.com/g4/maxiraoul008.JPG Mmmmm, Raoul Bova. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming. Oh, and a note on cold symptoms: next time, AS SOON AS you feel even a tiny bit achy and start to have a tickle in the throat, take a zinc lozenge (let it melt near the throat). They really do decrease symptom duration if taken EARLY.
BoyNeedsTherapy 1 Posted November 6, 2005 Haha, poor Dom, it is weird when girls are that blunt (well, when anyone is that blunt, but its weirder still when it's a girl).
viv 687 Posted November 6, 2005 First of all, MY coodies are cute! And second, I was the checkout girl the other day when the married 24 hour fitness gym guy came through my line and was way flirting... way nice ass on that guy, hehehe but he was soooooooooo married! As am I so it really didn't matter, but my point here is that it happens all the time, just be glad you are that cute, hot, sexy, pick your adjective... Yay for feeding 'that damn cat' who apparently has a name now too! Hugs, Viv

AFriendlyFace 191 Posted November 6, 2005 LOL well personally I've never taken being hit on by anyone as anything but flattering. well actually I was once "propositioned" by a middle-aged scruffy, homeless man, who pretended he was upset and needed someone to talk to, OK yeah THAT was totally freaky, but once I got out of there and was able to laugh about it, I found it a little flattering I suppose. Anyway I'm usually perfectly happy to be hit on, though if I'm not interested I of course don't lead them on (well actually if I know I'll never see them again, I may still flirt back just to make them feel good). But then I am a tad bisexual so perhaps that has something to do with it. Anyway take it as a compliment lol. Oh and glad to hear that cat finally got you trained lol.
ethan thorn 5 Posted November 7, 2005 Well that last part was funny. 2 days before i moved to Indiannpolis i was on the phone with my BF and this girl he worked with grabs his phone and says is there a chance i could turn you str8 LOL yeah rightw well thats not all another girl he works with told him if she sees me she would try to have me.
rknapp 32 Posted November 7, 2005 Consider yourself lucky. I have had three people hit on me in my short life. One male and two females. The guy made it obvious he was hitting on me, saying he was trying to get me comfortable. He also later said that he hits on everyone so I almost don't count it. One of the girls definately made it obvious, by yelling "f**k ME!" in public. The other girl is a lot more subtle and just drops hints here and there, but we're not dating right now. I didn't want to commit to anything simply because five days out of the week we are 100 miles apart. *sigh* Speak of the devil, she called me as i finished that last paragraph, said something about someone from Westpoint, and then said "Anyway, I'm going to eat dinner, bye!" Women are strange! Sometimes I don't have to wonder why I like men too
Blood_Rose 0 Posted November 8, 2005 Hey Dom, I hope you don't mind me poking my two cents, btw I'm Santia. Well I think you should feel lucky she didn't grope you, it has happen to me and in front of my husband no less. Do you think he cares, nope he thinks a women hitting on his wife is hot. I do feel violated when I am hit on by women, cause it seens to me that women are more aggressive. With men I say I'm married and they let me be, sometimes I do get the smart ass that will ask if I'm happily married. Anyways, glad to hear you feeding the cat maybe he will stop terrorizing the dog. Peace out Santia
gobears20022002 1 Posted November 8, 2005 Take the complement. I have been hit on by men and though, it is not what I am used to, I don't think it is violating. I think that half of the time it is because they know I am straight and want to make me squirm. I would think that that girl probably did have "cooties", or something worse (STD's). What a slut! I wonder how many times a shift she does that.

More likely, she doesn't -- she thinks she's being friendly and sexy, the same way men who whistle and say embarrassing things to women think they are being friendly and sexy.

Those men would sleep with the woman they whistle and say embarassing things to. There is a difference between straight men and women. Women know the next time they are going to have sex, men don't.
AFriendlyFace 191 Posted November 9, 2005 Well personally speaking I've often flirted casually with someone, and while the majority of those times I was interested and did find the person attractive, I wouldn't really have just hopped into bed with them if they'd offered......at least I don't think I would have
