Summer Anthology Ideas

I can't write, so I am not going to sign up for the summer anthology. But I wanted to start this thread so that readers can propose ideas for the anthology.

 

The summer theme is "The Rainy Day", so I imagine that there is going to be a lot of water in the stories. This is more than fine with me; I love wet shirts on handsome guys. But I wanted to give the authors an image of this grogeous guy, named Rain, to inspire your writing. He is a Korean actor, singer, dancer, model, and I wish he would be in one of the stories.

 

This is probably not going to happen , but maybe you will be inspired.

Seriously, I suspect most stories are already written -- the entries are due in on this coming Sunday (1st July).

I've never found Rain to be very attractive...but all of the Korean exchange students here think he is gorgeous.

 

I won't give anything away, but in my anthology entry, I used different types of rain-storms to accentuate the final scene of each main character. It was certainly a theme that left a lot of room for interpretation, and it gave authors a lot of creative license.

My original story idea didn't involve rain at all. I was going to do one based on the idea of "putting something aside for a rainy day" -- but I didn't get the details sorted out in time, so I wrote something else instead. I'm now going to see if I can get the original idea written in time for the Fall Anthology, because the story fits that theme as well

The submission deadline for the summer anthology is: July 1st, US time, for .doc files, and July 7th for formatted, laid out (as you want it to appear) HTML.
