Summary: In fifteenth century Transylvania (Wallachia), Prince Vlad Tepes Draculea rules with a bloody, iron fist. His method of dealing with enemies, both personal and political, has earned him the name of The Impaler. Though he has bedded many, Draculea's heart has never been touched, until he seeks a bride.He chooses a young noblewoman, but it is not she who captures his heart. Instead, he falls in love with her bastard half-brother, Nicolae. After winning the boy over, he is happy, for a time. Then tragedy strikes. Draculea willingly takes on the curse of vampirism to await the rebirth of his lover.

 

Centuries later, Draculea meets Jonathan Harker, a naive young Englishman who bears a striking resemblance to his lost love. Convinced that he is his beloved Nicu's reincarnation, Draculea sets out to take him, no matter what... or who stands in his way...

 

 

Imagine the classic ''Bram Stroker's'' Dracula story...only in this Dracula is gay. This story TOTALLY blew me away, especially the last few chapters. I think its amazing how Scribe managed to make a slash story out of Dracula and still be as true to the original text as possible. I also love how she makes random couples seem so sexy (Sinn and Quincy Morris...totally hot XD). Its not even close to finished yet and the updates are few and far in between. But im sure the author wont stop posting. She has been at it for around two years or more I think. I just hope she updates soon so I get more of my much needed Vlad x Jonathan fix

I subscribed to the yahoo groups and unfortunately, to be able to reach even the latest chapter I'd have to scroll through page after page of idiots posting ads for porn sites... Not worth my time even though it sounds like an interesting story. Scribe needs to get in there and ban all those folks out of her group and clean house!! It's just simply ridiculous!

OK, so I didn't give up. You should know that I'm more stubborn than a mule! Yahoo happened to have messed up with the owners acct. and she was not able to do anything with the group, not even (as she told me in an eMail) 'kill' it. So, I kept on looking and found where she had started a new groups and here's the addy...

OH Thank God.

I was member of that group for a while 1-2 years ago and I got sick of all the porn links so I unsubscribed, but it was the only way I could read chapters 117-120 xD. It was SUCH a pain to trawl through all the stupid porn for those few chapters lol. I'm just glad Scribe is updating the chapters on livejournal. That is one place I am sure to check, I don't even check my yahoo much xD

 

OMG things heating up in Chapter 123. Van Helsing is seriously pissing me off. Meddling know it all lol xD

Scribe is putting up 'Child of the Night' for publishing. So we should be able to get a hard copy in maybe a year's time.

The publishing company want her to do a trilogy on it...
