I was hoping for a chapter of LDI along with one of RBA, but two chapters of RBA was a very nice surprise indeed, especially with two excellent chapters such as these. Excellent work, Dan, you're really drawing me into this story, even though fantasy isn't usually one of my interests. I like the way you've woven together the world of magic and made it seem plausible in the context of the real world - a little Harry Potter, indeed, without the limitations of fan-fic. These chapters do a very nice job of defining our characters and helping us to know them better. I'm not going to comment on the outcome from the end of chapter 6, so soon after posting, but suffice it to say that I think you did a great job of making it work without making it too dark, or too light. It's the prefect blend. Now I'm sounding like a coffee commercial.
Conner Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 I like the concept of Michael forging his path between dark and light with the hope of using his dark mage skills for good. He also likes a good fight. That's always admirable. The fact that this path has never been walked before successfully doesn't seem to bother Michael too much. My sense is he has a great deal to make right from his days as Worthington. Carl is likely just one of them. Poor Carl! Integrating Worthington into himself should prove to be a daunting task. He needs to do that to take on his uncle. From chap 7...dueling over Brandon...

And I like Brandon a lot. It would be interesting to see Brandon/Tom Though its too bad Brandon says he doesn't expect to form a long-time relationship. Thanks for the new chapters. I really enjoyed them They really helped take away my exam stress for a while

Sad, that there'll be nothing between him and Micheal. I hope to see more of him. But why don't we see more of Jamie? Like in the first chapters, he was really present and larnt a lot about him. But now, he's only mentioned at a few places... As for Micheal's love life, perhaps, we're yet to see his Mr. Perfect. Ieshwar
