AFriendlyFace Posted March 24, 2008 Author Posted March 24, 2008 (edited) I'm grateful for: -having finished the story I was writing. -Discovering a delicious new wine that I love. -Discovering a delicious new cracker which when paired with cheese goes excellently with the wine. -My close friend finally telling me something I already knew but needed to hear from him. -Being okay with it Edited March 24, 2008 by AFriendlyFace
shadowgod Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 It's Monday, which means math class. Normally not something to be grateful for, but ... yeah the scenery makes it better.
Procyon Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 (edited) I am grateful....... That my lasagne turned out well The last time I put too much meat in it, not enough tomatoes, and not enough rosemary. And it's depressing when one's lasagne isn't as good as it should be... For coffee It's what wakes me up in the morning and keeps me going during the day. That I've a three-day week this week I had today off, and I'll have a day off on Friday too since my son has his Easter vacation. It'll be great to spend some extra time with him. That I can buy most things that I want or need Okay not loads of expensive things, but I never have to choose between a carton of milk and a loaf of bread when I go to the shop. There was a time when that happened... a lot... That my son is baking delicious chocolate cookies and he doesn't need my help anymore -- wow! But I still get to eat them! Tiger Posted March 24, 2008 Posted March 24, 2008 The sun- My days are so much brighter and happier when the sun is shining. Green grass- The grass is finally turning green again. I am always grateful for that. Bradford pears- These beautiful trees are some of the earliest to bloom. They have such divine while flowers on them Music- Without music life would bore me. I could not write if there were no such thing as music. Friends- Without friends I would lose my sanity.
corvus Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 That my son is baking delicious chocolate cookies and he doesn't need my help anymore -- wow! But I still get to eat them! Hmmm. Sounds really, really good.... I am grateful for: - people having read and responded to my last story (Mike and Winston)! - my current story not being stuck in my head (it's 2000 words deep now)! - my having time this week to actually write (got to love Spring Break)! - the alkaline phosphatase data for looking cool (got to love mesenchymal stem cells)! Four exclamation marks in a row, w00t.

A very pleasant evening
corvus Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I am grateful that, even though a third of the GA tripod has resigned (i.e. JSmith), and even though one of the people who most encouraged my writing has left this site (i.e. Gary), and even though DK is increasingly worried about the master (i.e. Dom)... ...there are two legs, Tiff, and other great authors still on GA.
Razor Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Hmm... I'm gonna go with... the people who are honest and straightforward in their dealings with me, since they are so few and far between. Oh, and bad puns. God I love bad puns.
