Music Recomendations for If It Fits

Recommended Posts

Those are good choices. "Scream" by Michael and Janet Jackson (you forgot to mention her) is definitely appropriate. Anyway, where's the recommendations for Chapter 16, slacker? :P

Yeah! I'm quite curious about the choice for the last part of the story!

Tiger, thanks for the suggestion. There's one downward spiral about to happen, but I actually have another song picked out for that over "Waterfalls". I loved that song and the video, so I'll try and see if I can find something else for it.

Well now I hate these information leaks suggesting someone knows something the others, mere mortals, don't know. Now we all know, I suppose, so I'm waiting... :/

So, what? You think Jeremy reads the chapter right after Mark posts it and magically comes up with musical choices in mere minutes? The kid's good, but he's not exactly the Amazing Kreskin. rolleyes.gif

Although he does need to watch those little information leaks.

It was a joke, Sharon. I like giving people a hard time. It's part of my charm. 0:)

"Stay" by Shakespeare's Sister

God, the 90's really had SUCH a diverse music scene

And "Say It Ain't So" is the song I picked for Marcel's downfall over "Waterfalls". But I think I have another idea for it.

I was responding to paya's comment. Guess I should have quoted to avoid confusion.

It was only the information leak (and it wasn't the first one) that I was upset about. I understand that about Music Recommendations and all. You know, sometimes when a story is really good and you get upset about something in it, you get upset also because someone knew before you, I don't know why. But that's why the "spoiler alerts" were invented, isn't it?

It's pretty rare that Jeremy makes a mistake like that. I included him on "the team" because I like him, and because he loves music and is good at compiling recommendations. Wait until you see his recs for 17. They are fantastic.

And I have worn out my copy of Weezer's "Blue" CD. LOL.

The lullaby version of "When I Come Around" is interesting. Black Hole Sun is one of my favorite songs of all time. "Welcome to Paradise" definitely takes me back too. Also, how can one go wrong with Radiohead or Weezer... awesome selections. :worship:

Wow! Those are some good ones. I don't know why I forgot about Alanis Morissette's best album coming out that year, but it was certainly a good one, though "

" was the best in my opinion, and should you find a good reason to use it, I think you should. Oh, and who could forget "Fantasy"? That's my favorite Mariah Carey song for sure. :D

Alright, guys. It's been a blast. Mark is taking a break from the Cramptons, so it'll be awhile before I do another set of music for the CAP saga. Thanks for enjoying the ride along with me!

And what a ride it's been! Mark has been giving us an excellent story, told from several points of view, JP, Stefan, Brad AND Robbie (interspersed lightly), back to Stefan, and several new characters keep the continuing options open.

Jeremy, I've been reading the musical matches very intermittently, but have heard several of the songs you've recommended--I'm probably going to compile the list (unless you do) and get it downloaded to my BlackBerry...

You forgot to mention Marcel. ;)

By the way, I have enjoyed the series and the music that accompanied it. You have good taste in music, and I don't say that to very many people. :music:

Thanks!

I've been influenced a lot by Quantum Leap, The Wonder Years, and Cold Case- in the belief that music is great at setting the mood of a time period.

Since Tim really likes razzing me for not using club music, I wanted to prove that I actually did use club music.

So there.

Word of caution: A lot of these links probably don't work anymore because Youtube and the whole WMG debacle. Still, you get the idea of what songs I used to score scenes.

1992-1995 was an incredbily good time for music. It was a joy to score this story.
