Popular Post Marco Polo Posted September 19, 2009 Popular Post Posted September 19, 2009 I came across THIS PICTURE the other day and it got me thinking. I mean personally I'm a bit of a monkey and it doesnt bother me...that much. But sometimes I get rejected purely because of that fact. Should it be a non-issue, should body hair really matter? I understand that it's a personal opinion but does it mean that the majority of guys out there, regardless of whether you have a treasure trail or a runway, or a 'glade' of chest hair or a carpet, don't like it? I'm a tad fearful of what i'm going to encounter. I really would like to keep what I have, it's part of me and I don't think it should matter.Plus I have figured out that maybe I associate hair with masculinity and therefore. Safety. I don't know. I guess I'll just have to wait for your opinions. : ) P.S I find the guy in the picture to be ridiculously adorable. And that might cost me some respect points 6
rknapp Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 My boyfriend is a bit hairy, mostly on his tummy. I like it! Though there is such a thing as "too much" and that Sasquatch up there qualifies. He's cute... with his shirt on LOL. 1
Linxe Termoil Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 sigh. Okay, totally shallow part of me coming in here. At first glance I'm going to prefer a smooth body, though a bit of hair like a treasure trail, etcetera, are okay. That's just my personal overall preference. But if I get to know you and enjoy your personality and something happens, I don't think i'd mind a bit. (And, i haven't). But I've also found that I'd rather get to know a person anymore before I actually sleep with them, even though I may be totally shallow at times and wanting to shack up with you just for the sake of it. (you as in, anyone I may or may not like in general. You may be a complete ass, but as long as your hot it's cool. Like I said, I can be shallow at times, but at least i'm aware of this). But yeah, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

And that might cost me some respect points Marco, hairy or not is not something you can really change all that easily...personally I agree with you, the guy in the pictures is just lovely to look at...too bad I probably wouldn't understand a thing out of his russian mouth. So you're furry, so what? If I saw your picture, instead of his, would I react the same way? Maybe, maybe not...there are other factors...is your hair silky, or curly, thick or thin, soft or coarse...things like that...I've only been with one "super" hairy guy, and he was really adorable and sexy...so I treat all of this on a case-by-case basis...I've gotten more into personality at this point in my life, and if the personality goes well, and the 'fun' works well, then sleeping together shouldn't be an issue with fur...at this point I think it would be quite fun! How about a picture of you instead? There is a thread for that, you know...

But nothing that you can notice hair on the body. I'm not as bad as the guy above but it reaches the same places as his does. Sigh... Besides this was more of a general comment on body hair on guys not just myself.

Tiger Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 (edited) Well, I personally do not care if a guy has some body hair. There are, however, three places I do NOT want hair on a man. Those places are the back, the scrotum, and the ass (specifically the inner region). Beyond that, I think hair is sexy, though a smooth chest can be nice, especially for someone like me who wants to cover a guys chest and abdomen with whipped cream or something. I chose the second one, 'cuz with the exceptions, I actually like hair. I'm even willing to help with removal if necessary. I've shaved other people before (was part of my job), and it doesn't bother me at all. Edited September 19, 2009 by Tiger
Nephylim Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Hmmm.... sometimes hair gets in the way. It gets between the teeth and honey can be tricky to get off. I actually like furry balls and I really have NO problem with hair anywhere. I find strange things a turn on... very strange things so hair is neither here nor there... I have no problem with hairy men or women. I like nature so... Although I do like a lot of hair on the head. I love long hair on men and women, it completely and utterly turns me on no matter what the rest of the person is like. If a man or a woman has long dark hair, especially if they have this cute little thing where they peep from behind it coyly... then it really doesn't matter what anything else looks like, how hairy... or not.. they are, how tall short, fat thin.... sigh.
Tim the Traveller Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Well, As someone who is afflicted with hair everywhere except the palms of my hands and the bottom of my feet, I can say I really don't care for it. On other guys, It doesn't bother me, But my personal preference is smooth, Probably just because it's different than I am. And if my hair bothers someone else, Well, Lets just say, I'm glad I don't give a flying leap what anyone thinks of me 1

Ohh, damn yes ^^ loooong hair ^^ but to me that is also the only place I do like hair on people..... I'm shallow like that... It doesn't matter for a hookup but for something more long lasting... I do care.... Though I care less when the person has blonde hair... but mostly... nope... I like smooth body's that I can nibble and cover in stuff without having to care about hair between my teeth or difficulty cleaning...
Conner Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 What a coincidence that this poll should appear. I was watching the movie "Australia" last night. Let me first say that Hugh Jackman is the only reason for watching this movie. It has no other redeeming qualities. There's a scene early in the movie where Hugh bears his chest....his beautiful hairy chest. <gulps for hair> Need I say more.

Arpeggio Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 (edited) I voted undecided. Some people it looks nice on, but some guys I just don't like to look at with a lot of hair. I'm not sure if I like it or not. My bf has a little hair on his stomach and other areas, but not really a lot.... But it's cute. I guess it depends on the guy, but it's not really my thing. I do have body hair, and sometimes I'll take the clippers and trim it very short, other times I'll go months even years without trimming it at all. I think guys who get bent out of shape about it are making a big deal out of nothing either way. So a guy has some fur on him, big deal - it can be trimmed off.. and I don't see what the big deal is about getting it trimmed off. You can buy a set of clippers for like 7 dollars and in no time be rid of it. I don't understant why some hairy guys throw a big fuss over it because its not like its gone forever... the stuff grows back. If you don't like the look then in a couple months you'll be your hair old self again. On the flip side... even if you aren't normally attracted to guys with body hair... if you fall in love with the person, then you may come to like their body hair too. It just shouldn't be that big of an issue. 1
NaperVic Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 My personal preference is for a guy to have a little body hair (some on the chest, forearms, legs, etc). Mentally, I tend to associate a lot of body hair with body odor. All that hair seems to grasp onto more body oils and such and if a hairy person doesn't bathe two times a day, they get ripe. But body hair is just another physical attribute. Some people like, some people dislike, and for some, it makes no difference.

Do you dislike it because of the summers in those two states? I think it's just silly, overall....I like smooth young men, and nice bodies without hair, or with underarm hair, and guys with lots and LOTS of hair...more to grab onto ...so it can be fun... Now, if I had a really hairy guy and wanted to do the whipped cream & honey & chocolate body paint routine, I'd definately offer to shave him completely first! It would grow back, and give him a chance to be 'smooth' for a few days...and it could develop into a repeatable routine... Edited September 19, 2009 by kjames

oneoftheguys Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 The second I turned 19 hair just came outta nowhere. I never had to shave in high school but after that I had to shave everyday. I hope hair isn't too much of a problem for a lot of guys, while I don't have a ton a have a nice amount. Personally I think guys that have a little hair on their chests are nice to cuddle up to.

Well, some guys have a problem with it. I'm not really sure why. I have a moderate amount of body hair, and there are occasional new spots, but it's not a bad thing. To me, it's a sign of masculinity.
Krista Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 When I was like 17 or 18 years old.. body hair on men just repulsed me.. I don't know why now.. lol. The older I get the more open I get about body hair. David was smooth... he's pretty much a metrosexual.. to the extreme. Now - Aaron has hair on his arms, his chest, stomach, legs, underarms... and I like it a lot. Men who look like men are what I like.
NaperVic Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Krista, at first I read it like this... Men who look like men are what I like. Which would explain why you hangs out here 1

Jack Frost Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 (edited) Back hair would be a reasonable excuse for me to scare me away from him. Likewise for a thick mat of hair on chest and shoulder. I cannot stomach that. I'm still hairless... at least on chest. Light covering on arm. Happy trail from belly buttom. Hairy legs. And I'm only 24. The hair on legs have been there since I was a old teenager. Now when I think about it... All of my male cousins (and I have 8 of them) don't have much more of a pattern than me. Including my 30 year old cousin who has no chest hair at all. My ex of over five years is an Asian. He doesn't have hair at all but some on lower parts of legs (weirdly patterned out) and on face (he prolly could grow out an Asian old man goatee without a problem). I guess it is case by case. Some guys with hair on chest got me going while others didn't do so. But again, I am fairly certain that full body hair would make me deflate in a nanosecond. Edited September 20, 2009 by Jack Frost
gardentuber Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 (edited) HAIR That's a long a troublesome topic for me. When I was a teenager, I thought body hair was repulsive. When I was a teenager, I was the first in my class to get hair between my pecs. It was obvious because I was on the swim team. I found it ironic that the class sissy was the most obviously hairy member of the class. I conflated body hair with masculinity. I suppose I still do. A few years ago, I was leaving the pool after a long workout and a 7 year old kid said really loud, "Mom, that man's hairy!" when I passed him. She shushed him. Yeah, I've got hair everywhere, back, shoulders (but not my ass)... and all the usual places. A friend said, of aging men, that we don't loose hair, it just migrates from our heads to our backs. Too true. So, is body hair sexy? Yeah! Do I like my body hair? Not really. I tried trimming my chest hair once. Holy sh*t! I was tortured by the itching for weeks. I'll never, ever = no never again = trim my chest hair! I find trimmed body hair to be attractive. I find sculpted pubes to be ridiculous and cheap looking, kinda wanna-be-porn-actor cheap. Ya know? Fun facts to know and tell: Did you know that, if you're reclining and eating with no shirt on, crumbs get caught in your chest hair? Did you know that a long beard can tickle your chest hair? Did you know that the hair on the top of your chest will often go white before the rest of your body hair? Did you know that as you age, the hair on your lower legs disappears due to abrasion from socks (and doesn't grow back!)? That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Prince Duchess Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I'm gonna say some hair is good but alot like the boy above...NO! I may like to have sex like an animal but I dont wanna sex an animal. Unless there as cute as you Marco. Then I might reconsider.
