Wow.. awesome. If that is your first work I can only imagine where you'll go when you mature as a writer. That was a wonderful poem. And the wish at the end was the sweetest that one person can make for another. Thank you

Thanks for your comments, Nephy. As for maturing as a writer, it will have to be quick given my age.

 

I'll probably have to rely on some spectacular inspiration instead.

I read and reread this several times. I wish more people took a little time and described love to a loved one. I will never tire of this subject.

If your next work is anything like this one then I for one have no complaints. And there is always time to mature Just like fine whisky.
