Mark Arbour Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Inflation knocks Avatar out of first place It's amazing how big of an impact inflation has had. The number one and two movies (after inflation) weren't surprising. Has anybody else noticed when they watch Star Wars how truly awful the acting is? Didn't seem bad at the time, but now....wow.

ltc_fireman Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Now that I'm 38, rewatching the movies of my youth is not a good thing. Star Wars acting, awful, totally agree with you Mark. Over the Christmas season I had a chance to see most of the classic clay mation tv shows. OMG Santa was SOOOO cheesy. and the songs? hahahahaha
hh5 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I find Avatar not something new. Its really all entertainment and supporting the new form of movie making. Everything is artificial. In a few years they probably drive down that 500 million dollar cost. I think many people here can cite what similar movies is like Avatar. But the biggest reminder it sends is how we treat mother earth - and how we treat each other and how over populated we are. Through the eyes of aliens - they would most likely turn back to go home because they will instantly see how we are not one with out world. here's the first cite Pocohontas 1 and 2 They died with their Boots on Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee: An Indian History of the American West
