JamesSavik Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Row Call- How are our surviving members faring in the disaster zone?
scotchirish87 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I don't know if I'll make it, I saw a whole 4 snow flakes today...at first I thought it was some nuclear mutated hail...till my Coloradoan boss informed me otherwise. 2
W_L Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Lol! We've had 5 snow storms in New England this year and more than 60 inches of snow in Boston with most of it still on the ground cuz it's been so damn cold. I'll just make some hot cocoa and write my stories, because my writers block is defrosted.
One Cheap Suit Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 It's a little drifty and blowing. Oh, you mean outside? There's snow falling but hey, it's the midwest.
TetRefine Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Down here in southeast PA we got one "big" one last week (about 10 inches). I put big in quotes because for a born and bred native northern New Englander, 10 inches is nothing. Apparently back home in New Hampshire they could get 22 inches by the end of the week. My home city has already had about 72 inches so far and its just barely February! I'm missing out on some of the best skiing in years.
Steve3 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Keller, TX 13°, wind chill -6°. Coldest temps in 15 years. 2nd day working from home. Steve³
WatchPatRun Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Took me over 2 hours just to shovel off the driveway and I just got done un-digging my car, which still didn't want to move. Snow is up to my knee's hahahaha

As of January 28th, the Philly area had 15 inches more snow the same date for 2009. After round two of this weeks storm, it took me 5 minutes just to get to my car this morning to start it so I could get the ice off the windows easier.
thephoenix Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 We had whiteout conditions here in Toronto this morning. There were so many things closed across the city I decided to stay in today.
Site Administrator wildone Posted February 3, 2011 Site Administrator Posted February 3, 2011 We had whiteout conditions here in Toronto this morning. There were so many things closed across the city I decided to stay in today. Did you call in the Army again ?
Ramon Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Did you call in the Army again ? lol. I just read about that earlier today. Apparently snowsteria hit Toronto, but it turned out to be snow big deal.
mskdm20 Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 2 inches of solid ice on my driveway. School has been canceled for the third day in a row.
Will Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I know what you guys mean it was 60 degrees outside today not a cloud in the sky and I felt like i was going to freeze to death. I think I'm going to have to put away the fan and break out the heater again Damn southern california weather where is spring!
Tipdin Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 My area is in the midst of a heat wave. We're at 8 degrees, that's above normal for this time of year. We're down to about four feet of snow now remaining on the ground.
DragonMando Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 About a foot still here in Albuquerque. School's been shut down for three days straight now 8D
Devereaux Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 Here in Kentucky... we got nothing. It is pretty cold, though! Hope everyone is safe and warm
Foopy Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 wow... this is a bit odd... i personally don't find we have any more or less snow than usual up here in New Brunswick... i mean, by the end of the year we could have around 12' of snow, no big deal all you poor americans with 'snow problems' (jk, we can only handle it cause we have a history of a lot of snow )
MikeL Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Can anyone say "global warming"? It appears Al Gore can and with a straight face: http://washingtonexa...storic-blizzard As it turns out, the scientific community has been addressing this particular question for some time now, and they say increased heavy snowfalls are completely consistent with what they have been predicting as a consequence of man-made global warming.
TetRefine Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Can anyone say "global warming"? It appears Al Gore can and with a straight face: http://washingtonexa...storic-blizzard How is this moron still making headlines?
JamesSavik Posted February 4, 2011 Author Posted February 4, 2011 We're getting hit tonight with ice. Not cool. When bad weather happens, rednecks go outside to see it. This is bad during tornadoes.
Tiger Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 It is snowing right now in Waxahachie, Texas. There is also a nasty layer of ice underneath it. When I moved to Texas, I thought I'd never see snow again. *face palms*
