[Jian Sierra] My favourite things about Jian, what are yours?

I was thinking about my favourite authors today. It is no secret I like Jian's stories. I think he has put a piece of his heart in all of them.

• I love the variety of stories he writes under the romance genre, from farm tools to subtle he manages to always make me smile and FEEL
• I like Jian fo being a good friend and a support, he never turns his back when in need of help

I chose not to go for a longer list to leave others a say too I'm a fan and a friend and broud of it! What are your favourite things about Jian and his works? Do you have a special story that you like the most?

Whatever possessed you to open this thread, thanks for letting me know (although it was probably better if you just tell me this in person or in a private message). It makes a guy who is overly conscious of his writing (that's me) feel that I'm not as bad as I think I am

As for your work, I love how your works touch me--With Not A Kiss, I was moved with the story and the prose too. Subtle Beauty, is, well, beautiful hehe--and everytime I read I feel sad and happy--so thanks for being able to do that. I enjoy reading your work, it's a pleasure.

His stories are fun to read, involved, and have a great deal of heart to them.

Well, I'm one of Jian's earliest fans in this thread so far

His characters are sweet and loveable, sometimes full of self-doubt and confusion. In short, Jian's stories (A chance encounter, Not a Kiss, Subtle beauty and Thereafter in particular) are exactly the type of stories that made me return to GA regularly before deciding to join.

Jian pours his soul and heart into his stories, and from there he can go from romantic to dramatic, from mysterious to light-hearted. Jian also writes some very funny scenes, so in his longest stories there is always a balance between serious and fun, between loving and teasing. Wait! Does that remind you of anyone?

 

If I were to take a painting analogy, I would say that Jian writes with subtle touches, like a watercolour artist. You may not get the whole background image or the focus on every detail, but you get a wonderful atmosphere, a beautiful feel for the scene and the scenery. For me, Jian's stories are a watercolour of two guys kissing in the rain, by a tree and a fountain, in a park. I don't have the skill to paint it, but I see it in my mind's eye.

Since many know that I'm quite taken with him I will say that I have been thinking that Jian is cute for quite a while. I can't remember when he first posted his picture on GA but it's probably close to a year now .

The thread asks for my favourite things about Jian, but I'll refrain from saying too much apart from the fact that, obviously, I love his smile.

Hi Bleu, thanks for your continued support. Please know that it is very much appreciated. I get what you're trying to say, my personality is almost always ingrained in all my stories. The truth is, I don't realize I do that while writing, I just notice it when I'm doing the final reading.

Wow, forgot to add stretching the truth there John. lol. You don't tease? If you don't tease then neither do I. and We both know what a whopper that is. Face it, you have a number of fans and you just have to get use to it.
