Palantir Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Congratulations to the USA and NASA for the inspiring and successful Mars landing of Curiosity. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! 5
Bill W Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 It will be very interesting to see what new information this laboratory on wheels will discover. Will it shed new light on the past or give us new insights into our future? Can't wait to find out.
Ashi Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Very cool. I hope they'll use the information well! Great job.
Cyhort Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 It's nice to see NASA hasn't totally been killed off. Here's hoping we ge another moon trip or even a manned misson to Mars in my lifetime b^_^
Ashi Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/trending-now/mohawk-guy-becomes-star-nasa-mars-landing-173507110.html LOL!!! Not everyone watching the mission is curious about the life on Mars.
W_L Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 The martian are coming ! Protect the b-movie actresses Can't wait to see what they discover especially on the formation of martian waterbed.
rustle Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 http://news.yahoo.co...-173507110.html LOL!!! Not everyone watching the mission is curious about the life on Mars. For somebody totally not my type, damn, he's cute. Did you see the very first photo they got back?
TommyZ Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 So NASA makes this mulit-million dollar machine that has to slow down from 13,000 mph to 0mph in 7 minutes, ignite the engines at the right time, lowers the SUV sized rover ... and hopefully it still works ... How did they every convince the guys with the money to do this??? That is an amazine part of the story
Daddydavek Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 The amazing part is that the US military spends more on AC for troops in the Mideast than NASA's entire budget.
Zombie Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) http://news.yahoo.co...-173507110.html LOL!!! Not everyone watching the mission is curious about the life on Mars. Video won't play in UK But found this hot pic of Mohawk Guy Edit to add: ooops nearly forgot, well done NASA - great job! Edited August 8, 2012 by Zombie
Ashi Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Edit to add: ooops nearly forgot, well done NASA - great job! Now go print that photo in poster size and hang it behind your bedroom door and write it in marker, "Well Done NASA!!!" LOL! 1
Andrea Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 First full-resolution panoramic image has come back from Curiosity. The black spots are because all the tiles haven't been sent http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/676004main_pia16051-fullportal_full.jpg Image/info from Bad Astronomer.
thephoenix Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 hmm...very interesting. I wish Curiosity success...maybe in 50 years, we can have an outpost on Mars!
