The movie is called Beginners, with Christopher Plummer and Ewan McGregor (and Goran Visnij as the boyfriend).

 

I'll give it to the Green One, who, as opposed to the Blue One,  at least gave some clue as to what he was thinking of    (plus he threatened me)
