Ok, completed another trawl through the database, but didn't find one I was looking for.

 

Two youngish professionals in a relationship buy a cabin, in the mountains I think.  I recall it beng up a hill in a small community, rundown, unfenced perhaps, needing a lot of work - which they gradually do.  There are a pair of late-teen brothers or b/friends living locally who look after the place in between the owners' visits - cut the grass, maybe do some of the diy stuff .. for financial reward ??  It could be something like a four-hour drive to get there.

Thanks for the information.  Disappointed though, the same thing happened with Love Turns the Pages a while back.

 

But, having looked through the Dreamspinner titles, I didn't see anything that struck me as beong the story I was looking for.  Can the stories be bought in the UK or for Kindles?

You're looking for the George and Mike stories (Bodies of Work, Drag and Drop, and Break and Enter). George is a cop, Mike is an accountant - I think. They buy a vacation home in the mountains and two local brothers oversee the property for them when they're not there.

 

I buy eBooks (.epub files) for my Nook, but I don't know if they work on a Kindle.

Thanks for your help.  With the book titles, I've found the books now on Amazon UK and also for Kindle.  A previous search of the author-name didn't fnd them.
