AFriendlyFace Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) Just for kicks so did I. It's been three years but I gotta say it stayed pretty constant. My current results: Actualized type: ENFP(who you are) Extroverted (E) 60.98% Introverted (I) 39.02% Intuitive (N) 71.05% Sensing (S) 28.95% Feeling (F) 59.52% Thinking (T) 40.48% Perceiving (P) 54.76% Judging (J) 45.24% ENFP - "Journalist". Uncanny sense of the motivations of others. Life is an exciting drama. 8.1% of total population. My old results: Actualized type: ENFP(who you are) Extroverted (E) 68.57% Introverted (I) 31.43% Intuitive (N) 74.29% Sensing (S) 25.71% Feeling (F) 63.41% Thinking (T) 36.59% Perceiving (P) 50% Judging (J) 50% So back then I was about 8% more extroverted, 3% more intuitive, 4% more feeling, and and about 5% less perceiving. All in all I guess that means I got a bit more moderate. Current results: Preferred type: ENFP(who you prefer to be) Extroverted (E) 58.14% Introverted (I) 41.86% Intuitive (N) 73.53% Sensing (S) 26.47% Feeling (F) 66.67% Thinking (T) 33.33% Perceiving (P) 58.54% Judging (J) 41.46% ENFP - "Journalist". Uncanny sense of the motivations of others. Life is an exciting drama. 8.1% of total population. Old results Preferred type: ENFJ(who you prefer to be) Extroverted (E) 70.59% Introverted (I) 29.41% Intuitive (N) 81.25% Sensing (S) 18.75% Feeling (F) 69.23% Thinking (T) 30.77% Perceiving (P) 50% Judging (J) 50% It's worth noting that both my old "actualized" and "preferred" Perceiving-Judging scores were 50% and they randomly chose the letters. This time I seem to way more firmly perceiving in general. Current results: Attraction type: ENFP(who you are attracted to) Extroverted (E) 58.14% Introverted (I) 41.86% Intuitive (N) 70.27% Sensing (S) 29.73% Feeling (F) 60% Thinking (T) 40% Perceiving (P) 65.71% Judging (J) 34.29% ENFP - "Journalist". What I said back then: LOL it's funny that I came out as a dead tie for Perceiving vs. Judging, but then I usually do. I've taken similar tests many times before and what I get on that category is pretty random. I'm almost always Intuitive and Feeling though. I value thinking and sensing too, but I seem to naturally be more I and F. It's odd that my extroversion score was quite that high. I usually tend to be slightly more E than I, but not often to a significant extent. BTW I didn't like this version at all because it kept asking "I'm attracted to____", but I'm attracted to EVERYONE! LOL I literaly marked being attracted to everyone except "regular people" who I was indifferent toward and "conventional people" whom I was slightly opposed. That's still pretty much exactly true and exactly what I was thinking three years later when I was re-doing the test (without first finding this old post). Fascinating. -Kevin Edited February 17, 2009 by AFriendlyFace

methodwriter85 Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I got ENFP. Here's the description of it- Idealist Portrait of the Champion (ENFP)Like the other Idealists, Champions are rather rare, say two or three percent of the population, but even more than the others they consider intense emotional experiences as being vital to a full life. Champions have a wide range and variety of emotions, and a great passion for novelty. They see life as an exciting drama, pregnant with possibilities for both good and evil, and they want to experience all the meaningful events and fascinating people in the world. The most outgoing of the Idealists, Champions often can't wait to tell others of their extraordinary experiences. Champions can be tireless in talking with others, like fountains that bubble and splash, spilling over their own words to get it all out. And usually this is not simple storytelling; Champions often speak (or write) in the hope of revealing some truth about human experience, or of motivating others with their powerful convictions. Their strong drive to speak out on issues and events, along with their boundless enthusiasm and natural talent with language, makes them the most vivacious and inspiring of all the types. Fiercely individualistic, Champions strive toward a kind of personal authenticity, and this intention always to be themselves is usually quite attractive to others. At the same time, Champions have outstanding intuitive powers and can tell what is going on inside of others, reading hidden emotions and giving special significance to words or actions. In fact, Champions are constantly scanning the social environment, and no intriguing character or silent motive is likely to escape their attention. Far more than the other Idealists, Champions are keen and probing observers of the people around them, and are capable of intense concentration on another individual. Their attention is rarely passive or casual. On the contrary, Champions tend to be extra sensitive and alert, always ready for emergencies, always on the lookout for what's possible. Champions are good with people and usually have a wide range of personal relationships. They are warm and full of energy with their friends. They are likable and at ease with colleagues, and handle their employees or students with great skill. They are good in public and on the telephone, and are so spontaneous and dramatic that others love to be in their company. Champions are positive, exuberant people, and often their confidence in the goodness of life and of human nature makes good things happen.

W_L Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Profile: ENTP "Clever" is the word that perhaps describes ENTPs best. The professor who juggles half a dozen ideas for research papers and grant proposals in his mind while giving a highly entertaining lecture on an abstruse subject is a classic example of the type. So is the stand-up comedian whose lampoons are not only funny, but incisively accurate. ENTPs are usually verbally as well as cerebrally quick, and generally love to argue--both for its own sake, and to show off their often-impressive skills. They tend to have a perverse sense of humor as well, and enjoy playing devil's advocate. They sometimes confuse, even inadvertently hurt, those who don't understand or accept the concept of argument as a sport. ENTPs are as innovative and ingenious at problem-solving as they are at verbal gymnastics; on occasion, however, they manage to outsmart themselves. This can take the form of getting found out at "sharp practice"--ENTPs have been known to cut corners without regard to the rules if it's expedient -- or simply in the collapse of an over-ambitious juggling act. Both at work and at home, ENTPs are very fond of "toys"--physical or intellectual, the more sophisticated the better. They tend to tire of these quickly, however, and move on to new ones. ENTPs are basically optimists, but in spite of this (perhaps because of it?), they tend to become extremely petulant about small setbacks and inconveniences. (Major setbacks they tend to regard as challenges, and tackle with determin- ation.) ENTPs have little patience with those they consider wrongheaded or unintelligent, and show little restraint in demonstrating this. However, they do tend to be extremely genial, if not charming, when not being harassed by life in general. In terms of their relationships with others, ENTPs are capable of bonding very closely and, initially, suddenly, with their loved ones. Some appear to be deceptively offhand with their nearest and dearest; others are so demonstrative that they succeed in shocking co-workers who've only seen their professional side. ENTPs are also good at acquiring friends who are as clever and entertaining as they are. Aside from those two areas, ENTPs tend to be oblivious of the rest of humanity, except as an audience -- good, bad, or potential. Some Famous ENTPs: Alexander the Great Confederate General J. E. B. Stuart Sir Walter Raleigh Fictional: Mercutio, from Romeo and Juliet Horace Rumpole, from John Mortimer's Rumpole of the Bailey series Dorothy L. Sayers's detective Lord Peter Wimsey U.S. Presidents: John Adams, 2nd US president. [Adams appears to have been competing with Thomas Jefferson to see who would live the longest. Dolores Esteban Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 A Guide on how to deal with an INTJ 1. Be willing to back up your statements with facts - or at least some pretty sound reasoning. 2. Don't expect them to respect you or your viewpoints just because you say so. INTJ respect must be earned. 3. Be willing to concede when you are wrong. The average INTJ respects a fundamental truth over being "right". Withdraw your erroneous comment and admit your mistake and they will see you as a very reasonable person. Stick to erroneous comments and they will think you are an irrational idiot and treat everything you say as being questionable. 4. Try not to be repetitive. It annoys them. 5. Do not feed them a line of bull. 6. Expect debate. INTJs like to tear an idea apart to prove its worthiness. They will even argue a point they don't actually support for the sake of argument. 7. Do not mistake the strength of your conviction with the strength of your argument. INTJs do not need to believe in a position to argue it or argue it well. Therefore, it will take more than fervor to sway them. 8. Do not be surprised at sarcasm. 9. Remember that INTJs believe in workable solutions. They are extremely open-minded to possibilities, but they will quickly discard any idea that is unfeasible. INTJ open-mindedness means that they are willing to have a go at an idea by trying to pull it apart. This horrifies people who expect oohs and ahhs and reverence. The ultimate INTJ insult to an idea is to ignore it, because that means it's not even interesting enough to deconstruct. 10. This also means that they will not just accept any viewpoint that is presented to them. The bottom line is "Does it work?" - end of discussion. 11. Do not expect INTJs to actually care about how you view them. They already know that you think they are arrogant bastards with a morbid sense of humor. That's it, exactly, he he.
