Daddydavek Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 JC, I think you are a bit hard with your comparison, but I too am longing for my Granger fix!
ricky Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 You know as much as I wish we could hurry up Mark for a Granger post I know it takes a lot more work for a granger post than a CAP post. They really can't be compared. It is like comparing Mercedes S-Class (Granger) and a Ford Focus (CAP). Just one man's opinion. suckup 1
Kookie Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 While we wait patiently for Grainger to return, just a few items to ponder. The length of famous or infamous works, The Gettysburg address is 269 words. The Declaration of Independence is 1,337 words. The Holy Bible is 773,000 words. No idea of the version and remember this is compilation of many authors work. However, the tax code is more than 7 million words today. The Bridgemont series while not competing with the government now stretches over 1.18 million words and unlike the tax code can be understood and comprehended. Good work Mark. 2

Popular Post Mark Arbour Posted May 22, 2014 Author Popular Post Posted May 22, 2014 Alright, I thought I'd give you all an update. There's good news, and bad news. The bad news is that it will probably be a bit before the next chapter is posted. I'd call it two weeks if I was optimistic, but three is more probable. The good news is that I'm about halfway done writing the next chapter. As some of you have noticed, Flux has continued on, and that's because I had a number of chapters of that story in the works before I went into the hell that was the end of the semester. The semester is over now, so I'll have a little more time to focus on George and his gang. 6

Although some of us are never satisfied, I appreciate that you did keep a did manage to stay on schedule for such a long time. We know much more time is required to make Granger happen. 3
davewri Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 We are all waiting patiently for the next Granger chapter. It will take a lot of preparation to have HMS Valiant ready for the King's arrival. I am sure Mark is taking extra time to get the details of a royal event letter perfect. In the mean time I will continue to listen to Handel's "Water Music" to set the proper mood. 2
Daddydavek Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I too am trying to remain patient, but I'm pretty sure based on past experience that it will be worth it! 1
rjo Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Thanks for the update. I must say I miss George a lot. To see how his mission will play out and of course the king's visit. Thankfully, we have and CAP crew. 2
Daddydavek Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Twitch . . . uhm sorry, couldn't help it. ;-) LOL!
JimCarter Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 LOL! What the hell is os funny? We all have the twitch or Itich!!!!
ricky Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 UGH! Another false alarm in my email tickler. I confess, my Flux Capacitance is waning.
Mark Arbour Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 I'll try to post the next chapter of Valiant tomorrow. Unfortunately, it's a cliffhanger, so I have to hurry and get the next chapter written. 1
ricky Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I'll try to post the next chapter of Valiant tomorrow. Unfortunately, it's a cliffhanger, so I have to hurry and get the next chapter written. Bass-tard! Well at least you warned us.

Daddydavek Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Mark promised a cliff hanger, but a misplaced Sovereign? 1
Mark Arbour Posted June 6, 2014 Author Posted June 6, 2014 Mark promised a cliff hanger, but a misplaced Sovereign? Sometimes they are so difficult to keep track of.
ricky Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 (edited) Hey when I was at the Royal Garden Palace in Vienna I found a 500 Euro note on the floor. If someone can misplace that then a Sovereign isn't anything right? Well you did promise us a cliff hanger. I'm going to gaze into my crystal ball and speculate. I think he went below to: Take part in some kingly business like signing papers or using the royal privy OR he went to speak to Granger's chef to wisk him away which of course would add greatly to Granger's already foul mood. It's also possible he is preparing some honor to bestow on Granger or his ship for hosting him and of course to show his favor upon his golden boy. Another possibility has occurred to me. Being that close to the water, the King's gout may have acted up and perhaps the good doctor made him a Crocus tea (Colchicine ) which was commonly used by this time in London for it's treatment. I do not, for an instant believe it could possibly be foul play as someone would ALWAYS be with the king. Had there been something amiss it would have been heralded loudly and everything would have stopped. Additionally that would have taken the story a long ways from History which is something Mark is wont to do. I am surprised that the Royal prince has not become a little jealous of Granger because it almost appears his father cares more for Granger than him. I think Granger will have to walk carefully around him for a bit. I'm gazing deeper into the crystal at this moment and I see that Caroline and Treadway met at the casino. She made a pass at him and he confided that his taste was not for women. So it was Caroline who wrangled him onto George's ship. I hope LeFavor knows how to tenderize crow. Just my thoughts. And Mark, thanks for having the king come to the ship. It was kinda the ultimate compliment the king could pay to a captain. Edited June 7, 2014 by ricky
impunity Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Addendum to my review on the latest chapter: Shiny ship and new uniforms for everyone! Yay!
ricky Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I really figured there would be a lot of discussion on this one. Where is everybody.
Mark Arbour Posted June 7, 2014 Author Posted June 7, 2014 I'm wondering if anyone knows what Caroline's indiscretion was?
