Since I have the pleasure of being editor for the new story I offered to set up this thread for discussion of themes and topics.
I hope you will join me in speculating and talking about this great series, and the author has promised to be active here too.

Promise...is such a strong word. LOL. I can't wait to read what everyone is going to discuss. You have no idea the amount of insane glee I get from watching people throw around ideas and speculation about what torturous hell I'm going to submit my characters, and thus you, my readers, to. I will ask this. Keep it civil, do your mature best not to use profanity, and if you have an issue with someone or something in this thread, please settle it in private.

I had a thought about the title. What if Dean finds he can turn into a chicken? LOL Not sexy you say...? Not very romantic...? Who wouldn't like a nice... ehum... male chicken...?

That would be stretching the shifter theme a bit, but maybe it'll be across over into fantasy...?

In the ch. 2 review ILike2ReaditReadit says: I think Dean should feel angry that Jon hadn't told him about being a Lycan.

 

Now, that's an interesting topic. I can see his point but also the author's about Lycans having to be kept secret.

 

Jon does in fact hint that he might tell Dean why he's able to keep so fit. Is this a sign he thinks Dean is ready to know, perhaps because he's more mature? In the first book, Dean came across as something of a flighty character (pun intended), passionate but not as compassionate as he is now.

 

Well, the secret is coming out now, for sure.

If I has the ability to turn into an animal, I'd keep that secret very need to know. There's been no need for Dean to be informed. They probably all thought they would never exchange blood or transmit the lycanism ant other way. Who knew Dean would stumble over Kao...?

In my RPG group that I run, I had my players run across a dire werechicken. Needless to say it was funny to watch them try and kill this five foot tall chicken and couldn't because they weren't using silver weapons. For those who follow this post, I've been ill, but I'm back at it today and I hope to get a chapter to Tim for editing by tomorrow. Also, in June I will be taking a two week vacation for personal reasons. Nothing bad, just need me time. 

 

I am loving all this talk too. Thanks again Tim for starting this board.

I have posted the latest chapter, unedited, so don't pillory Timothy. Life has been a struggle these months and I had no will to write, but I was able to do this one chapter. It's a shorty, but I like it.

Edits are in your inbox, not that many this time. It's good to have this story active again, and this chapter was a huge step forward for Dean and Kao.
