She Wrote from season one (1984) and the episode is about a driverless car. They're actually talking about the technology that is being tested today. How did the writer’s know about this technology 34 years ago? Then again, hospitals etc. got the idea about automatic doors due to the automatic lift doors on Star Trek, so maybe this newest invention was inspired by this episode?
