For dinner tonight I steamed some new potatoes, baby carrots, and broccoli, and made myself a mushroom and tomato omelette.

Some of the last of this year's homegrown strawberries with a dollop of cream for afters.

All finished off with a nice pot of Earl Grey tea.

Not too bad.  I haven't been feeling well for a few days and had no appetite, but it seems to be returning.   My mom came over for a little bit to see all the work my BFF and I did on the model horse room.  She was really surprised at how much we got done and loved it

Hmmm...

Not too sure about that It could feed billions claim...

Here's part of what the article says:-

The project began in 2018, and this year, they anticipate achieving three things: Launching Solein (check), beginning the approval process certifying its safety as a Novel Food in the EU, and publishing plans for a 1,000-metric ton-per-year factory capable of producing 500 million meals annually.

And it's only a protein powder they'll be producing. Man does not live by protein alone.

But certainly an interesting idea. Particularly as it will actually be removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Although that carbon dioxide will be replaced back into the atmosphere when humans metabolise the protein...

I've tried baking with a lot of alternatives to wheat flour and it's just not the same.  I haven't found anything yet that's comparable.
