I got a letter in the mail today officially extending my furlough.  I lose my benefits next month, unless I elect to continue under COBRA.  Sigh.

Yeah, I suck at photography... but I will learn... hopefully.   I'm having a heard time with shrinking pictures enough to attach or copy/paste...

Please don't copy this photo in a post... "Painting the House" ... you can see half of the windows I replaced... the ones to the left of the door have yet to be done... the three large ones are still stored in the garage until I can manage the work it will take.

Okay, I'll stop boring you guys now. I figured out how to post my photos... took a while but they are posting every time on GA now. Not on Gmail though... but I can send them with my hotmail account.

Cute? Too big and sprawling to be cute, but you can only see one corner. Bohemian? Nah. More Craftsman-like/ranch/traditional when you see it in person. But it does have some unique features, like gingerbread, especially on the back veranda.

They're lilac trees, and that entry was a lot of planning and pruning. Those trees are about 29 years old.   I built that front addition, and also made the windowed/screen door a couple of years ago. I built the deck a couple of years ago too, to replace the old one that was two levels... tricky to build around trees but worth the effort. The yellow longe line was to tie Cookie while I painted, but she managed to put her foot on the paint can lid anyway.
